WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

28 points 1700 calories 20 APs
My day started with a box of donuts on the counter (Jackson works for Dunkinβ). I seriously considered having a plain cake donut, my favorite. I knew it would lead to a crazy eating day so I resisted. Iβm happy I got right back on track yesterday.
N*A*N*C*Y! Many, many congratulations on C100!!! What a nice day you had yesterday. And I would have loved to be a part of your bus conversation.
Louise, I guess that being in Maine you donβt need the AC too many days out of the year.

Okay, enough of the snacking. Today, I'm following MFP to the letter - need a reset!! I did keep everything in control (which is HUGH for me) but had way too many low point snacks. Luckily, I wasn't too hungry at meal time so my meals were healthy and OP but I do feel heavier...
Nancy, WHOO HOO!!! C100 - Amazing!! You did awesome yesterday!! So glad you had a Wonderful time and had a Fantastic food maintenance day!!! I'm surprised but glad the city was too hot....
Jan, Congrats to the Soccer Team!!! Even better Victory that it was against the not so nice team.... Great job resisting the donut!! I don't think our AC ever shut off (not looking forward to seeing that bill) - the only way we could tell it was working was to go outside for a minute and feel the difference....it was brutal
Louise, on my MFP days, I just count calories (I aim for 1200) - it just really helps get me back on track and resets my mindset!! Beautiful wall units! Hope you found a good location for the AC...

Jan - I also love the plain cake donuts. I think they're called Old Fashioneds. But I can't have just one. I'd also want a glazed donut. Ooy!!
Lori - A couple days on MFP and the extra weight will be MIA. On my way to prepare an LP lunch - chicken, veggie rice, green beans, a pickle and cherries.

Sunday's Stats: SP 29 AP 2 - walking the dog 25 minutes (three walks), walking alone 12 minutes WP - 20 remaining
Finally got some rain starting this afternoon around 3 PM. Right now, 6:55 PM, the outside temp. is 72 while in the living room still at 82. DM complains of being cold though so I just closed the two roll out windows. The small fans are still on.
When I took the dog out just as it was starting to rain, I decided not to bother using the insect repellent. Wrong move; we were out there less than five minutes and I got at least five bites. At least I didn't have to stay out to water the plants.
Nancy-congratulations on C100, definitely a milestone. I wish I could remember how far I got. I'm thinking I could start with something around 29. I wonder if there is a way to search my previous group of posts.
Jan-great job on resisting the Dunkin'. We have donut holes after mass on Sunday. I haven't touched them since getting I got things back under control. I should check how many points they are to see if I can allow myself to choose to have one occasionally.
Lori-I know the "way too many low point snacks" drill. For me not only too many but to such an extent that I was messing up my digestive system. Not a good thing.
