5. ‘All or nothing’
This approach is the downfall of many so don’t make the mistake of thinking you should never have a treat. A pizza is okay, there is nothing wrong with having a pizza; just make sure that you don’t follow it with a large helping of chocolate fudge cake and ice cream!
6. Make realistic changes to your diet that you can stick to
Dieting severely is not advisable in the long term; it may seem boring but making a few small changes that you can stick to is far more likely to result in a weight loss that can be maintained over the long term.

Have you cut out any food group or food and found yourself craving it ?

First time I followed WW, I did try to be too strict. I don't remember exactly, but I probably did put a few foods into the "can't have" certain foods.
I absolutely know I was so strict (not realistic) that it was not sustainable over the long run. I lost the weight I wanted, thought I was done and went back to old habits. Started to gain and then re-joined at an At Work program. And figured it out. I still think WW made a mistake when they dropped the Good Health Guidelines, because paying attention to that framework really made a difference for me.

I don't consider anything off limits. I allow for treats sometimes but I make them only occasional. I have mostly cut out sweets/baked goods, but occasionally I will have something. One of the occasions is when I'm having coffee with a neighbor, and that doesn't happen very often. It also depends on what the treat is.
I don't cut out any food group. The more calorie heavy things I just have less of and less often.

I still follow the GHGs. Every day. (not the one about taking a multi-vitamin/mineral which I was never ever successful doing, before or during WW.)
Since white flour was never "no count" on SF or SFT (or CORE, I think; I joined during Momentum, when CORE was no longer the name for the alternative to counting every single thing that goes into your mouth) for anything at all, and because when I was eating 100% whole wheat (and other whole grains) I felt better physically, I stopped eating pizza (which I had already stopped loving, so it wasn't like I was cutting out something important). So that's never been an issue for me. As for other things, I too eat the highly pointed things less often, and have smaller portions of them (most of the time, anyway), so that's really not much of an issue either.

I know that even though nothing is "off limits", there are certain foods, crunchy PB & chocolate, for instance, that I cannot keep in my house. I will get up & binge on them in the middle of the night!!! I am a sick old woman & I have to live accordingly. I have to eat my treats somewhere else. I never buy a pizza & bring it home except when my GS is here. Then, I let him pick the menu, often he chooses pizza. Then, I sometimes will have one slice, but most usually, I will have something else & leave the pizza to him & DH. The only time that I really have to have "real" pizza is when I visit NY, I haven't been there in almost a year now.
I, too, think WW messed up when they cut out the daily guidelines, especially when they stopped encouraging the drinking of milk & other dairy products. I think the consumption of dairy is important, especially as we age.

On the WW facebook group that I belong to, there are a number of people that have come to WW from a Keto diet. They all say that they can't "do" keto forever. They also can't believe that you CAN have pizza or cake on WW just in moderation. I don't think I could cut out a total food group from my diet (although I don't eat much dessert like pies and cakes) and be happy.
I have made changes that I can stick to- I drink skim or 1percent milk, nonfat yogurt, whole wheat bread and pasta. Less butter and more seasonings. Things that I can keep doing and not feel like I am on a diet.

I really believe it isn’t worth it to give up something to lose weight that I’m not willing to give up for the rest of my life. Portion control and the reset button are my keys for working the program.

I did a liquid diet for awhile and had to start "eating" again after only a few days.
I have "given up" foods for Keto - could not sustain it long term I have done a month of "vegan" eating and did so-so but then craved a burger
I don't say I "won't" eat certain foods as this has to be a way to eat for a lifetime. I do think that cutting out food can make it become a craving...
