I would never think to BBQ individual appetizer sizes. I'd just BBQ en masse and cut up the slab for everyone to dig in!

hpeterson1951, scouring the Internet to try to identify that pan I did see several multi-egg poaching pans; most of them didn’t have the holes. Calphalon offers a solution which are individual cups that have holes at the top and a handle with a silicon grip on the end. They are used with a deep chef’s pan (Calphalon, of course) and the holes are used to drain out water before serving. BUT—America’s Test Kitchen did a show that included poaching eggs for a crowd. Their method was to break the eggs into a colander to allow the drippy liquid from the egg to drain which left behind yolks with whites intact. Then the eggs were poured into a pot of simmering water carefully so each was in its own area. After cooking, they were moved to a pot of water held at a lower temp (150° F if I remember) where they could stay for up to 15 or 20 minutes while cooking the remaining eggs and getting the English muffins ready for serving. It looked interesting.

I had thought of individually steamed oysters or mussel portions but never over a BBQ. Seems so odd!! I guess if you added some smoking chips to the BBQ it might be nice but really, you could just throw things in a grilling pan and serve them from there. It might not be much fun to clean all those individual bowls with BBQ'd stuff charred onto them either. The pics of those supposed bbq'd foods show the cups looking suspiciously clean and hey---isn't that an egg in one of those pictures? Mmmm, boy, now I have a hankering for BBQ'd eggs. I think I'll pass, lol!

zazzles, thanks for the info. I've never tried to poach an egg. I'm not even sure if I've ever eaten a poached egg, don't think I've tried eggs Benedict.

Well, if you’ve never eaten Eggs Benedict you’re seriously deprived! But if you try it sometime, make sure to try it in a quality restaurant (i.e., NOT Denny’s).
