MOVE IT MONDAY... What will you do to "move" today?? I'll have to think on it - but hopefully will be warm enough when I get home to get in the pool for a bit. Meanwhile - I have begun parking back in the public lot - so there is extra steps there each day! While I was part time - I was parking in the bank lot - less walking... back to normal now!
Weather is back to normal today too - woke up to 64 degrees! UGH! That summer was a quick one! LOL Yesterday got up to above 95 but humidity was only 52% and we had a breeze out back most of the day - not an "extreme" heat day here!
Oh but it was a nice day... just the 5 of us... Ken, Me, Tracy, 2 sisters... no kids... we had a quick lunch (Friday leftovers) and for the most part just sat - stood - swam in the pool and chatted! I was "in and out" getting some of the laundry done - but that's OK... I can't just be in the pool all day anyway - I get chilly, and I'd be angry with myself if I Had to do all the "chores" later... so it works for me. Beautiful day to hang some of the laundry OUTSIDE too... Warm sun - slight breeze - perfect laundry day!
Let me refill my coffee and see if I can catch up ♥

Jenny: LOL Funny how our first week "back" to work is so darned long, huh!?!?? Hope you had fun at the art fair... that sounds interesting. Woo Hoo for another beach trip! I have not yet been to a beach this summer!! It is dragging on me too! I just WANT a day to GO! Kinda want a day to go with Ken and NOT take the girls this trip... we'll see if it ever works out!
Oh yes - we also went to the aquarium in Monterey... had forgotten about that!
I work 7:30 - 4:30 and 8-5, alternating weeks. We MUST take at least a 30 minute lunch - or they "may" take it! Meaning if I don't clock out for lunch - they have the right to take 30 minutes from my day... I am not a fan of THAT! On my 7:30 weeks, though, I go in for 8 and only take a 30 minute lunch - I do not like the full hour lunches... I am not like most people, I do not want to go to my car - go to lunch - or go shopping then have to rush back and park and get back to work... I'd truly rather just work through the day - and get out of work to do my errands.
I get caught up in my work and don't take lunch until late every day... I can eat at my desk - while working - so I'd really rather just work and get it done!
Pool is looking better each day (again)... was SO excited when it was clear for all the birthday parties - then - UGH - lost it for a few days again... hoping Ken & Tracy can vac again today - to help it along more.
Thanks for asking - Tracy is OK - yes she had anther bout of breathing trouble - and next Tuesday she goes back to the arm doctor - to discuss the possible surgery...
Lisa: Why is it - we seem to be our own worst enemies - when it comes to finding motivation for ourselves?? I agree there are a LOT of "places" in my life that could change and it would make my health and well being better! I would guess yes - too much wedding stuff on your mind for good sleep - or possibly the weather? LOL Yes, for all the work of the pool - it certainly has been keeping us cool this year! I think we have used it more this year than the past 4-5 years all together!! Now that both girls LOVE to be in - it does make it easier! Yeah - for sure... AND with the heat - some folks may have been shopping just to beat the heat! Good idea to wait for a weekday - any decision on when you will go?? We need more groceries too... will work on that later today - I guess!

Plan to MOVE it Today !!
Was up a tad early thinking I could get a head start on my day but oops, DD20 also needed the same BR as she has the 5:00am shift. Didn't want to get in her way so waited for her to be done...all good.
Busy around here! Yesterday I ended up sleeping in after a bad night of Shingles pain/severe itch. I was up 3x to place a cool compress (wash cloth) on my face and scalp to calm it all down. I seem to do better during the day when busy - maybe I don't notice the pain as much? Hmmm Anyway, once I got the day started it was fine. Did some chores, cleaned the kitchen, did laundry, and vacuumed the entire house! ColbyGirl is shedding like crazy and the tufts of white/blonde hair are everywhere on the floors.
We have RAIN all day today and much cooler temps - high 60s - huge difference compared to Friday and Saturday!
I have a bit of work work to finish here so will need to get going - sounds like everyone had a great weekend and feeling ready for our work week!
(Sue - Welcome Home!; Gabrielle - Ohhh poor Milo! So glad you knew to even check him for fang marks!; Shelly - so excited DS and his fam are coming!)
Gotta love Summer!!!

Sue: YAY for getting home at a good time! Time for Jason to check the gardens and you to get stuff ready for dinner and laundry going... Heck today will be almost like any other day - and you will be back in the swing in no time! I'd want another day to get "ready" to go back to work! LOL
YAY for the girls letting you and Jason have the BIG BED... yes - you deserve to be "spoiled" every now and then! ♥ Did the boys all end up staying in the boy's room? How did the 5 of them do being together the whole week??
I forget which way we were heading when we went to the 911 memorial... but it sure was "out there" to get there - and back! Glad you got a chance to go and see it.
LOL AND I would have had to stop somewhere for dinner - no way I come home from vacation and have to cook! LOL Well our bill would be $160.00 so that IS under $200.00 but still seems like too much to pay - if I can get the same thing for well UNDER $100.00!!
Well we didn't get any rain last night - but MAN we have the cold front!
Hope you got another good night's sleep!
Shelly: {{{hugs}}} Hope you get some answers soon about this tiredness you have. Eeeekkk, YAY for DS and family coming to visit!! How long will they be staying?? SO excited for you to have more time with them all ♥
Oh my... yes... I so remember when my sister owned (& I worked at) the pizza house! Some of those KIDS - I could have "throttled"... We were very good about giving them the time off they needed for school functions - games - band - whatever, but then in the summer - when they could just WORK... Oh No... of course they had a LOT of other things going on as well - could NOT "Count on" very many at all!! Sorry you had to let one go - but yeah - that one sounds like an issue waiting to happen! {{{hugs}}}
UGH - Good luck with the washer - switch... hope they let you make the change you want without having to go back to the store!
Hope you slept well and can get out early/on time today!

Mornin' Christine - LOL Sorry you had to wait your turn for the BR, but I guess DD20 has to be out first.... Yes, we are expecting the rains later today-tonight... roadway puddling - the usual summer storm. I do know the river could use some water - the boaters have been boating in very little water - even with the water release, it doesn't get FULL each day! UGH Sorry about the poor sleeping at night! LOL Then of course once you got up you were like a well oiled machine - and no thought to the pain!! OK Must get moving - need to go get gas on the way in to work - light came on Friday on the ride home... will go to the local guy this morning - so as not to "test" too far the limits of the low fuel light! LOL NO Idea what to do about lunch today - no produce in the house... should force myself to shop after work?! We'll see! I do have some leftover chicken and rice in the fridge - maybe I will grab some of that. OH we have some of those veggie pasta things in the freezer too... guess I do have choices! Will CBL if I can... no clue WHAT Ken has on tap for today - I know he has a dentist appointment, but then he SHOULD be home to get a few things done - we'll see!! Make it a great day ladies - now that the weather has changed (for some) maybe you will MOVE IT MORE?!?! ?!!??!!! ♥hugs♥

Good morning and happy Monday (or maybe not?) Greg got a call from his Dad last night. A second cousin, age 57, who he talked to on Thursday at the uncle's visitation, had a heart attack and died on Saturday! So his visitation is this Friday...really seems weird! And now we have that "comes in three's" feeling looming. Another reminder to live each day to its fullest I guess!
Carole-my moving it isn't feeling it, but I hope that I can keep Greg at least walking a little bit each day. It felt much better here too when I opened the door! Glad you had a great pool day yesterday.
Christine-wow vacuuming the whole house is moving it! It is time for me to do that, or at least the living room to get started. Hope the shingles go away soon..it sounds like a long and painful process :-(
Sue-I need to get organized for the week too, still never got to the grocery store.
We did have an impromptu dinner with Joe and Tiffany and Geoff and Grace last night..we went to O'Charley's. It was good to catch up with them.
I gotta get going here. I want to get in early so that I can maybe catch the end of the Young and the Restless if I get home in time. I need to talk to Prof about how he wants articles that I have found and printed out organized.
BBL-have a great day! Waves to ATF!

Evening all....WOW, what a hectic day today! I love vacation but I hate the aftermath I come back to....put a pretty good dent in the stuff left for me but still will take another day or two to truly get caught up! Got a dull headache now....
So much cooler now....barely in the low 70's and raining.....we need the rain so not complaining! We got no rain at all while we were gone and it was so hot that things were looking a little "parched"!
Shelly...oh my, sorry the work/staffing issues continue to frustrate you! Sounds like a couple of the "kids" are more trouble than they are worth. I can't figure out some of the younger generation and their lack of work ethic and responsibility. So glad you will get to see Clayton, Lezli and Baby Hank.....I know it's always nice to have a little snuggle time. I'm sure your parents will be happy to see them too! OYE....and washer woes! When it rains it pours at your house lately! Hopefully you can change your order....I think with most purchases you have 3 days to change your mind!
Honestly Carole...I didn't move much today....I was glued to my desk trying to catch up! I might hit 8000 steps before bed but not sure....I'm close but don't get many steps here in the house! I always park in the back lot and get those extra steps.... Sounds like yesterday was a perfect "grown up" day! I'm with you Carole...I used to be 8-5 as a salaried employee and had to take an hour....then when the government changed things and I was hourly for 3 days I worked 8-4:30 pm with a 1/2 hour lunch...I loved it so when I became salaried again on Thursday I asked if I could keep the 1/2 hour lunch and get out at 4:30 pm....it's actually more practical anyway....after 4:00 pm, most all the people I deal with are gone and I twiddle my thumbs for that last hour....the 1/2 hour mid-day is a productive period so they agreed! I too eat at my desk....I have my monitor set to "sleep" after 30 minutes so I move my mouse to "start my lunch" and when my screen goes dark....it's back to work! I don't answer my phone or emails while eating...I play a mindless game on my phone, answer some personal emails or pay bills or surf the internet.....it's my time and I take the entire 30 minutes! I too take my lunch later in the day so my afternoon is shorter!
Christine...had to laugh at your "head start" plan getting squelched by Linds.....but in all fairness....she did need to be at work at 5:00 am so she needed the BR!! Yes indeed, the shift in weather in PA the past 48 hours is amazing.....99° when we got home yesterday afternoon....today it's 78° at the same time! I will say, I don't miss the "tumbleweeds" of cat fur in the house....with all the cats outdoor cats now the house is minus those shedding tufts! It's heaven! I feel so bad for you dealing with the shingles....it continues to reaffirm the fact that my couple days of feeling lousy was so worth it!

Carole....it was nice to be "spoiled" this week with the king sized bed! Yes...the boys did great in the bedroom....Jackson did sleep in the top bunk in Sarah and Josh's room one night because the other boys were "breathing too loud"....I will say, there are a couple "snorers" in the group so if Jackson was the last to fall asleep....it could have been noisy in that room! We had a few "spats" throughout the week but all in all...the boys got along great and had a blast! It was funny how they kept pairing up differently throughout the week. Sometimes all 5 of them would be playing chess in teams. I'm still amazed that the chess board was such a hit....Kellen had started to learn to play here with Jason and each of the boys kept being drawn to the board and by the end of the week it was the usual evening and early morning game!
Lisa....so sorry to hear about Greg's cousin...so young, so sudden! Had he had heart issues or was this this a total shock??? Fingers crossed the "comes in three's" doesn't happen...I know when I worked at the nursing home, deaths truly did come in 3's....it's the oddest thing but there...it held true....hugs to all! WOW, 57, so young! How fun to have the impromptu dinner with the kids....always fun to catch up! How the professor had some insight as to how he wants the articles organized....
Time for some dinner....will have some chicken that Jason grilled last night and some veggies!
Will be an early night...I'm so exhausted after this first work day...more tired than any of the days on vacation when we were getting 18k steps....crazy! This is a mentally tired!
See you all in the morning!
