Just don't understand all the problems you have with this site Marm. Wonder if it's your computer since you had problems with the old site and the WW one too. Sounds like when you shut down at night it's erasing your cookies so check your settings. Good luck with your appointments today.
Bipp, I always check yesterday's thread before looking for today's because I know you and sometimes Ruth write later.
Only -2º this morning. Heat wave today. It'll be 20º and then 30's the rest of the week. Still hate going out in it later. I just want to hibernate when it's winter. I hate snow and cold. Glad you enjoy it Marlene. One thing I hate about this time of the year is dry skin. My nose is so dry too even with having a humidifier on the furnace. Maybe we need a room humidifier too in the bedroom. I'm stopping after work to get saline spray for my nose. Thought I had some but I can't find it. That does seem to help.
DH finally gets his car back from being repaired after the semi rear ended us. It's three weeks today they've had it. I do know there was more damage than originally thought. At least DH has had a rental while he waited to get his back.
Now we're planning on having our Christmas on New Year's Day. Now if the the weather will just cooperate.

Good Morning from winter wonderland WI,
Only 3 more months & it's spring! Then I'll be getting ready to head back to the campground out at Lone Rock. Heard on the radio this morning LR was the coldest in WI at minus 26 last night! And more good news, after Wed. we start having more daylight. Spring IS on the way!!
I got the BR cleaned yesterday - YEAH! I also wiped up the tile floor on the[porch - under & around the free standing corner fireplace. That was not a good thing for me to do. My lower back hurt after twisting & turning to do it, but DH sprayed my back with some "pain stop" stuff we a got at WM. It works real good & I am fine today
I mixed up the cut out cookies last night. The dough doesn't look like I remember it; hmmm wonder what I did wrong OR if I did do something wrong. So, today I'll be hunting for the rolling pin & hopefully baking them. I have decided I will make the date bars & PB cookies plus thinking about fudge. I have always been like this - the closer it gets to Christmas the more I think of what I could make. No wonder I "yust go nuts at Christmas"! Hope the kids eat it:) I will send boxes of goodies home with them. Cheryl's DH is a sweet addict so he'll enjoy everything. Woe, there goes the scale for me, but I'll restrain till Wed when I WI. After that I'll have a month to get rid of what I don't want..... but I'll still have goodies:(
Hope DS's present gets here in time. We ordered late from Amazon so hard to tell. Guess I'll need to wrap that but otherwise no gifts to wrap, unless I get DH's sock done &/or the ear flaps for his stocking hat that I knit e-ons ago. Just thought, if I finish the ear flaps, I'll wrap just them & he won't have any idea what they are or for. I had planned to add them to the hat right away but I don't have too. Two ear flaps will look a little strange, IMO. I can see his puzzled expression already.
Nice bright morning here, yes it's chilly but what I stayed in WI for. Another month & I'll be ready to move on to something better. I remember how long winter can be.
Marm, thinking of you guys & praying for safe travels & good results. Too bad about your posting problems again. Hang tough:)
Gareth, Marm said she never 'logs off' so I wouldn't think stopping for the night would erase anything. Others have had problems too so doesn't sound like her computer to me. Hope all goes well with DH's car pick up. Rentals/loaners are nice to have but nothing like having our own.
Ruth, I missed you yesterday. Hope you'll be able to post OK today.
Bipp, yes I always look at yesterday's thread when I come here in the morning so don't hesitate to post even if late. If that's a better time for you & we'll see it the next day.
Time is passing me by & I have things to do but don't especially want to. Once I get started all will get done & what doesn't must not be too important.
Have a good day & a warm one.

Good Morning Marm and LTMs,
This morning it was 6º (feels like -7º) and going up to 31º with party cloudy skies and wind SW 10-20 mph.
All three girls went to school this morning, just three days this week and then they will be on Christmas break until January 5 for Hannah and Rachael but January 4 for Sarah. These three days are final exam days for Hannah and Rachael.
MJ says she feels a lot better but is achy when the Advil wears off and is still coughing a bit but in general feels a lot better. We have some Christmas packages to wrap while the girls are at school and I hope we can get that done today.
Another Japan memory: I don’t know what made me think of this Japanese holiday because it is in the spring. The holiday is Shichi-go-san which means seven-five-three and is a special day for girls seven and three years old and boys five years old. Their parents take them to visit a shrine and they are dressed in beautiful kimonos for the girls and black suit with short pants for the boys. I often wondered how they came up with those ages and why there were two for girls and only one for boys but I never found an answer for that. The kids always looked so cute all dressed up on that day, May 5 if I remember correctly. More tomorrow.

Marlene, even if Marm doesn't log off if her computer is erasing cookies when she shuts down she'll have to log in again. Cookies are what saves your PW so you don't have to log in each time. Even so she should be able to log in again. Maybe something to ask the administrator of this site about.

Marm, after the not a robot thingy you have to identify some stuff to prove your not! If you keep clicking out of it, it may continue to ask about your robot:) Wonder why that happens to you - doesn't happen to me & I shut down every night & re-boot in the A.M.. Gremlins in your computer, maybe!

OH grrrr. I had a post, newsy chatty one and it disappeared. I guess I am supposed to be quiet. Cold here, but not like you Midwest folks have. That is why we moved to NM. It is good to know that if I post late you will see it. My life gets funny at times. I went to church yesterday morning and stayed for lunch. I had potato soup, which was good, green salad, roll and a little cupcake.
I wore my silk long johns and my long knitted skirt. I made it years ago. My mom liked it so much that she also made one. It started out to be a regular length for my daughter and she said she would not wear it, then I just kept going, and made a long one for me. I have loned it to my friend for her to wear to a special funtion.
I have already sent to my son and grandson, and I have no contact yet with my other son and wife. Strange how they chose to cut relations. Guess I will post so I don't see it go away again.

I am happy to know that if I post late, that you will see it. Sure hope things are going well for you, Marm. And Doris, good the girls are all back in school. Good they are having the finals now before Christmas, rather than having to come back and take tests. That is not fare,
I have some lights that I think I will put up around the window on the inside as the security bars will have to come off again, and I don't know when the painter man will come to do that. He came by the other day and said he would come when it looked like some warmer days. I told Tom that that could wait until spring. But I guess he wants to get it done since I have already paid for that. My neighbor said she would come down this afternoon and help hold the lights up so I could tape them.
Gareth, I feel for you going out to work in the cold. I remember those days. It one time got down to -19 and I was working nights.

Bipp, even tho I worked days I remember one day it was minus 15 when I got off work at 3:30 & we couldn't wear long pants in those days. I did have knee high boots tho. I can still see myself clearing snow off the windshield & having it blow all over me. Those were the "good ole days"??

Good morning all, This afternoon we have our monthly December birthday/anniversary party. This morning I went to Herbergers to shop for DGD. Usually she gives us a list, but not this year. Only mentioned wanting a cat calendar, and that we have not bought yet. She has no need or desire for money, so we don't give her any like we do the other kids. I sound a cute nightgown with cats on it that she'll like, and a sweatshirt with a red truck hauling a tree. She loves looking at old cars with her father, so I know she'll like that, too. I bought myself a sweatshirt, too. I had to, for if I spent $50, I would get $25 off. This is about the first time that it has worked for me. Usually I choose something that doesn't qualify for that.
I don't have any suggestion to help Marm. I haven't had any trouble, and don't do anything about the cookies, and don't really understand about it. If I run into problems, then I'll have to do it. When something is working well, I leave it alone.
Marlene, you have a job ahead with making all those cookies. I'm glad I had DGD helping me, even though there are still others that I'd like to make, but won't now. We are much warmer here today. This is the kind of winter I like....not like yesterday when it didn't get above zero.
Ruth, I hope you are okay today and will post later telling us that. You didn't say much yesterday.
Bipp, good to see you, too. Is that Amos you speak about? I believe they were active in your church, and he isn't acting as Christ would like him to act when he is ignoring you. I'm glad you have other people looking out for you, and you help others, too. God bless you! You are a special lady here and in your surroundings!
Gotta go now. BBL Now

Hello, all LTMs,
I went to the veggie store this morning to get carrots for my WW soup, which I'll make tomorrow. Stopped at Walmart first. What a zoo! The parking lot was full, and I got lucky & pulled into a spot as another car left. Inside, people were everywhere. I got what I needed & went to the self check out. Not bad w/ just a few things. Other than Thursday, when I go to Port Charlotte for WW & our luncheon, I will avoid the shopping areas as much as possible!
I am hearing about a large truck crashing into a Christmas Market in Berlin. I am thanking God that we were not involved in anything like that. How scary, w/ 9 dead and 50 + injured. Our trip was so calm, it seems surreal that something like this could happen at one of these markets. They are so family oriented & friendly. I guess these people were sitting ducks!
Still very warm here, about 80+ and a bit humid. Marlene, hope you get all your cookies baked. I am doing NONE! I would have done some if DH wanted them, but when I asked, he said NO! He's lost a few pounds himself & doesn't want to gain it back.
Hope everyone has a great afternoon!
Rose Marie
