DD mentioned she would like a clothes steamer to remove wrinkles from her clothes. I know nothing about them. Amazon says the #1 steamer costs $160 but I see many others in the $25-30 range. Anyone have one they can recommend and what should I look for? I think DD will probably use it mainly on her t-shirts and pants and probably not on DH's dress shirts for work, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I don't have a clue linda72 . I prefer to use my ironing board in front of the TV watching soap operas every Tuesday (after washday Monday) with my can of starch and my sprinkle bottle of water, while I iron my sheets, towels, lace hankerchiefs, and all of the clothing. I forgot to add, I do this in my heels and pearls of course *snort*

DebDoesWW : see, there's the difference between you and my mother. She ironed while watching soap operas five days a week—and in her bathrobe!
linda72 : I've had several steamers over time and never been happy because the lower cost ones truly take a long time to steam a single shirt.
I see two models on Amazon, PurSteam and PureSteam which seem to be high-powered models. The steamer sits on the floor and forms the base for a hanging rack. They are priced at $60 and $70 and both have lots of good reviews, with their average ratings being 4 and 4-1/2 stars. If I were buying one, I'd likely give the PurSteam a try.
The models selling for $20 to $30 look similar to many I've seen being hawked in the middle of the local mall. The sellers always try to suck me in, telling me how innovate and new this technology is. I tell them that this technology goes back to the late 60s and that I'm sure I have a couple of these hanging around the house that I could sell to THEM. They tend to look confused, but they leave me alone after that.

zazzles Thanks for the laugh. I do think you get what you pay for and the 2 you mentioned would be better than the smaller, cheaper, hand held ones. I may go to BBB and see if they have these also. I order a lot from Amazon but I still like to hold things to decide what to buy.
