Is it me or is this FM acting even crazier than usual? Honestly, it feels like we're in a tinder box globally and it's just a matter of time before someone strikes a match. The new Fox news poll has him losing to Biden, Bernie, Warren and Harris which is encouraging but, with the election still so far away, it's scary to think of what can happen. The welfare of the country and it's people have never been a priority for him. I agree that he seems to be getting worse and even more unhinged (if that's possible) all the time, and we're still a long way out from the election. I shudder to think how much crazier he could get between now and then. I just hope he doesn't' have us entangled in another war before then, and I think that is totally a possibility. To me he seems to be just itching for a war somewhere to make himself feel even more powerful. It seems that absolutely no one has any sway with him. I don't think they even try, and frankly it wouldn't do any good if they did. His urging Israel to deny entry to Talib and Omar is just one of a million examples of how he does not see himself as an American. He ONLY sees himself as Trump. He doesn't have to like their politics, but they are duly elected representatives to the Congress of the United States of America. He can fight their politics here at home all he wants, but he needs to remember which team he's on, and the problem is that he doesn't see himself as being on a team at all.

I've said it before, but it makes my blood boil about the hysteria regarding Biden's "gaffes" and the idiot-in-chief can say any wacko thing at any time and it's totally normal.
Uncle Joe tries to walk back his verbal blunders, and the other just ignores everything. Once in a while he will read something from the teleprompter when the folks behind the scenes insist. Then Fox et al rave about how presidential he is. Two seconds later he'll say the same darn thing that got folks riled up. So exhausting...

Lani, that's politics. lol. It really does wear you out. I make myself dizzy from shaking my head because of the things I see and hear. Joyce, we have a tea rose bush in our back yard right outside a window. We love it. The smell is intoxicating. I wish I could bottle it. I know most people don't like them because they're only wildflowers and wild flowers grow where they want instead of where we want them to grow. lol. Anyway, the finches love hanging out in there. Sparrows too. Hearing birds chirping and smelling roses is not a bad way to start the day. KWIM?

There is no end to Republican hypocrisy. I can't decide if they can't even see the hypocrisy or if they see it, know they are being hypocritical, and just plain don't care. I'm talking about regular people here. I know that Fox News and those in Congress just plain don't care, in fact, they thrive on it. As for the JA, he is incapable of any rational thought at all I've pretty much concluded.

Michael Moore considers the "squad" the best thing going for democrats. He believes the Warren wing is need to get the nomination to be able to beat Trump. Get new voters out. And young voters. She is so upbeat . She really is a good politician. I hope she wins IOWA. She has never been on the debate stage with Biden.

I like Elizabeth Warren, and she's definitely coming on strong. I like the way that whenever she comes out with an idea she has an actual plan to back it up. The Democrats have a wealth of good people running for the office. But which one of them can beat tRump? With the possibility of bad news coming about the economy, he's going to be getting even nastier and nastier as he's tied himself to the stock market. I think his base will hold strong no matter what. It does not ever budge. So the key is getting people who held their nose while voting for him the first time. Will they or won't they switch? I think some of them will vote for whoever is the nominee, but the bulk of them might not. I don't know how to judge who they will be willing to vote for. Some who didn't like Obama will hold that against Biden. There are some who didn't like Hillary who may still be backwards enough not to vote for a woman. The whole thing makes my head spin. I just know that whoever's name has a D beside it is who I am going to vote for, come hell or high water. With whatever exploded in Russia and NK's multiple missile tests it's a scary world out there. I wish we had knowledgeable people in positions of authority that we could trust to understand what is going on in the world, and put the interests of the country first. Any people like that he's been pretty ruthless about getting rid of. So we're left with a bunch of sycophants too afraid to tell the would be emperor that he's not wearing any clothes.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful day! 😁
It’s just so toxic to live with sustained uncertainty. There are so many ‘what ifs’ now to further stress about. I can’t even entertain the thought of another four years of this insanity and sickness.
Imagine the speed with which new rules and safeguards will be put into place when this long nightmare is finally over. All the accepted norms should be codified into law.

nashville11, my understanding of the Russian missile explosion is that it is a type of technology that the U.S. tried and abandoned, since they could never make it work. It has a mini-nuclear reactor built into the missile. The talking heads I have seen think that Russian can't make it work either and never will.

So now workers are threatened with backlash if they don't attend the JA's speech, and if they protest. How does that fit in with the Constitution? Sounds more like Russia or NK to me.
On a positive note, however, yesterday I read a post on our neighborhood forum. It was from a couple who has recently moved here from South East Asia, and they were looking for others who might be from that area to get to know. I don't think they found anyone from the area, but I was very pleased to see how many people did respond and genuinely welcome them to our city, telling them how much they want them to feel welcomed here. I think that was most likely a response to the JA and his immigration policies, and wanting to let these people know that even though TN and my city may be deeply red that they do not share the JA's anti-immigrant, white nationalist feelings. I just hope they will vote that conscience when the time comes.

How likely do you think it is that the JA will face a real primary threat? I don't think either Weld or Sandford would have even a remote chance against him, and I'm not at all sure anyone else would. The only sane voice in the Republican party throughout the JA's tenure seems to be Kasich, and I'm not hearing any rumors of him challenging. It's not likely that he would win even if he did. Scaramucci is talking big about putting together a coalition to denounce the JA before the election using former tRump cabinet officials against him, but my guess is that's a lot of BS talk. The JA does seem to be getting nervous, but I think that's more about the Democrats than from any possible Republican challenger.
