Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all,
Heading to work soon. Already have my 40 hours in. I have 8 more weeks until I go part-time on 9/30, so getting in any OT I can. My boss enlisted the help of one of the porters to help with the scanning, it should be caught up today. I’m glad I went in early yesterday, everything in my bucket is completely done too. All vehicles are taken care of. My boss thanked me for all I did this week, nice to be acknowledged.
I’ll stop back later.

Good afternoon,
Hope you are both having a good weekend. We didn't go to the lake this weekend. DS#1 and his family are away for the weekend. It is supposed to rain, so far it hasn't but it sure is windy here. Bill and I both got caught up on some projects here. We might go to the show tomorrow - I would like to see Yesterday. It is only playing at one theater by us. I'll check-in later.

Good evening all. Sorry to be so scarce this weekend! Our company got here about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Hooked up their 5th wheel to our electric and promptly blew a circuit breaker. They had to turn off their AC but turned on a bunch of fans and it was nice and cool in there when they went to bed about midnight. We met DS about 5:15 and returned Mara to him for the night and early today. Went to the Twins’ game last night and had a great time. Came home, drank wine and talked about so many topics (but not really politics) and all headed to bed about 11:45. We got up about 7:30, after getting dressed and ready for the day texted them that we were up, coffee was on, so they could head over any time. Had a late breakfast since we were having baby back ribs DH made for an early dinner. Excellent ribs! Karen and I had gone to meet DS about 11 today and picked up Mara so he could mow and do some other chores. We picked up sweet corn from a farm stand to have with the ribs. Then DH took them down to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul so they could attend their Santana concert. They are taking a Lyft back here after. Their dog, Rose (also a British lab) is with us tonight. She’s a good dog too and she and Maggie have gotten along really well. They want to run & chase in the house occasionally, but we all stop that immediately. And they have been great about not letting her on our couches since we don’t let our dog on the furniture. Theirs sleeps with them and on all the couches at home. Each to his own! Dog hair is just not my thing!!
Here is our schedule for next week: Monday: Painter to begin work around 9-9:30 A.M. Tuesday: Painter to finish his work from 7:30 to 11:30 and LVT installers from 12-4 Wednesday: Interior finish and electrical finish begins at 7:30 A.M. Thursday: Interior finish finishes and plumbing returns to finish his finish work Friday: Cleaners A.M. and walk-thru in P.M.
and the closet will be finished up on Aug. 22 after we return from visiting DS Carol the 16th -19th of Aug. I will be happy to get it all finished. And I got the taping done in the closet so tomorrow after our guests leave and mara is napping I will begin to paint the closet. Should go pretty quickly as what is exposed is small and I’m not going to try and paint the back wall inside the shoe spots or behind the clothes hamper.
I have PT twice next week and maybe a massage? And Tuesday we have Sawyer, Wednesday we have Sawyer & Mara, and I’m not sure what else. Will be a full week with kids, PT, workmen coming and going, and anything else.
Going to change into my nightgown and robe, check on mara, and maybe read or knit for a while before our guests return. Will try to check in tomorrow between coming and goings and painting and all. Have a great weekend all.

Good morning,
Ruth - I’m getting tired just reading about your week. No wonder you’re exhausted. I might still be a working girl, but you are so much busier than I am.
Dottie - we had about 5 minutes of rain this morning. Sun is back out. I knew it would rain, I had my car detailed yesterday.
Heading to church, then to breakfast with DB and DSIL. Haven’t seen them in a while.
Yesterday was a quiet day at work, but it went by quickly. All caught up on scanning thanks to help from one of the porters. Other girl from office is back from vacation tomorrow so things will be back to ‘normal’, whatever that is.
Enjoy your day

Good morning everyone. Our company left about 10:30 after taking us out to breakfast. We had a great time with them. They really enjoyed their Santana / Doobie Bros. Concert last night. They each got a tee shirt, one got a Doobie Bros. And the other a Santana one. Their dog was really good the whole weekend. We would do it again. I told DS Carol that hard feelings were let go on both sides, Life is just too Short!!!!
Going to paint after while. Just taking a breather for a while. Mara was awake partying in her crib from about 4:30 - 6:00 and then we had to wake her up at 8:15 so we could get her dressed and headed out to eat. She is now in bed for a nap. Hope she takes a good one.
It’s a beautiful day here and we’ll get Mara’s water table out after nap and let her play in it. She loves it! Can put it under a patio umbrella so she’s not too much in the sun.
Joy, sounds like you got some good help yesterday. Hope they let that young man go and can hire some good help. You are getting some great overtime hours to add to your vacation fund!!!
Dottie, a movie sounds great, but we have trouble finding a time when we aren’t watching Mara, the other girls, going to PT or other appts or now the workmen coming and going. Stan commented today he’s getting tired of the whole process.
More later!

Joyce, glad to hear that work went okay and quickly yesterday. Hope you enjoyed your breakfast with DB and DSIL.
Ruth, you are so busy with the grandkids, the remodel and your company. Glad to hear that it was a nice visit with your friends. The schedule for next week is hectic but if the construction company keeps it you will have your new bathroom and I’m sure both you and Stan will be happy. Once Sawyer and Harper are back in school that will lighten your schedule. Did you get the painting finished?
We did go and see Yesterday this afternoon. We really enjoyed it, cute movie and great music (if you like the Beatles music). I’m trying to finish a book so I won’t want to read all day tomorrow – I have things to do. The weather is supposed to be cooler – easier to do some work around the house when it isn’t so hot.
