Tuesday's goals
Keep being mindful and making better food choices.
Kept the pizza to one slice as planned and a nice salad w/ very little oil. I had a sliver of apple pie and a small portion of vanilla ice cream. Was satisfied w/ my dinner especially since our company was late. I had two boiled eggs instead of diving into pie or ice cream.

June you really worked it and I bet you are pretty proud of yourself. I know I would be. I know tomorrow's lunch at Olive Garden will not be pretty. Regardless of what you order it is loaded with sodium. It is what it is. I shall concentrate on over hydrating

June, 1 slice of pizza is amazing. Thatβs why I avoid it. I have a hard time limiting it. I plan to move a lot today. Itβs time to slosh again in the water near the sand. Not sure of our plans except dinner will be in the garden at Robinβs in Cambria. It has a diverse eclectic menu. Iβm reading Summer of 69 and continuing knitting my afghan it will be hard to return to the heat at home.

June You did amazing with one slice of pizza. That is why I don't eat pizza.I have only had 1 or 2 slices since I rejoined WW back when the plan was Points Plus.Ice cream on a hot night tonight was tempting to me but I stuck with my unsalted almonds. The rest of the week I may succumb to an Enlightened ice cream bar once in a while because by the end of the week it may hit 105.It's still 91 at 8:30.It's not going to cool off.Even though my diet drinks weren't on sale they are still 60 cents cheaper at WM than at HEB and I buy a 6 pack of 16 oz bottles of Diet Dr Pepper and another 6 pack of Sprite Zero bottles so it saves once a week since I only have one DDP in the morning and one Sprite Zero at night.
Ann Enjoy Olive Garden.I know it will be sodium laden but it seems like no matter where we eat out there seems to be a lot of sodium in it.
Audrey Enjoy your time in the water and your dinner.
We are going back to Bastrop tomorrow because when we went to buy Kenneth's phone last week he forgot the one he wanted return at home.We have until 8/10 but I want to get that over with and get that credit on my Best Buy account.I want to look around in Ross's and maybe in their new Home Goods store over there.Lunch is up in the air.Hopefully at home but we will see.
Goals for Tuesday:Track, move, hydrate,be aware of portion sizes and KOKO.

Good job June. I always budget 2 slices because I know I can limit it to that, but one is too hard for me. There are good choices at OG Ann, except for the sodium. Lots and lots of water in your future! Audrey - Enjoy your remaining time and try not to think about the heat at home Becky - Hope you can get the phone returned I got home at a reasonable hour tonight. I'm trying to get my niece to understand that if you want a $100+ per person wristband for the beach activities, you all have to be there at the same time to get them. There are 9 of them so that's nearly $1000 savings. Frankly, it's extremely generous of my employers and no skin off my back if you choose not to take advantage of it. Sometimes I just don't understand that generation. :-)

Susie, money must mean nothing to them. My kids are now in their mid to late 30s and all about savings, special offers etc. Whitneyβs produce convention is in Anaheim in October so her family will be going to Disneyland for the first time. An $800 room is $300 and the ticket price is greatly reduced for members of this gigantic convention. It will still be an expensive weekend. The savings your employers are offering is too good to pass up.

Scale is down...few OP days under my belt has shown me what being OP and eating healthy balanced moderate meals can do for me. In five pounds I will be in onederland Do have Wednesday lunch with friends tomorrow BUT the hostess said she is making three salads...as long as they are not HEAVY salads I should be fine.
They found a part in the breaker box that needed changing so put a piece of wood in place temporarily and returned later to replace the part. Hooray for uninterrupted electricity!
I made seitan yesterday and had some in a sandwich for lunch then dinner was sauteed onion, garlic, cherry tomatoes, green pepper and amaranth leaves I added 1/2 c up each white beans and leftover brown rice to. It was delicious! Any ideas of how to use white beans that might be tasty to try? I might do pasta today with them or perhaps burgers or???
I am willing to:
* journal * write before I bite * set the timer to walk (just finished the first 5 minutes) * Believe it - see it
MJ: I Have no idea how you keep all of the activities straight!
SUSI: It sounds like you have a schedule for animals, work and fun What beach are you going to that you pay so much money to wear a wrist band? I won't go locally to the resorts because I burn and usually stay only an hour at most and 20 dollars for an hour is too rich for my blood!
JUNE: I have mostly grains, nuts and a few cooked dried beans in the freezer. If they defrosted they refroze already. I am a cook that looks at what there is rather than going out with a plan in mind to shop for the week ahead. Good plan and good job following the plan with pizza on the menu!
ANN: I know all about going to pick up one item at the store and coming back with more! What did you prepare in the crockpot? Can you ask places like Olive Garden to do a low sodium meal? Just curious.
LADONNA: It is great to have a reset button after an indulgent day or two. My daughter brought me a gasket for my pressure cooker...it is German made, purchased in Saudi Arabia, brought here and we could not find a parts person locally so she bought one in the USA and brought it with her. Hope it lasts ten years! I remember 10 hour night shifts...and being asked to work a double...at least I was younger then...can't imagine it now!
BEE: had me scratching my head...first thought "fallitis" was a misspelled word then thought you were falling all the time then realized it had to do with the seasons
PAM: Loved those green checks for a blue dot day
BECKY: I can see why people might be hesitant to visit a shooting site where people were killed BUT I might be more likely to go there thinking the same place less likely to be hit again. Hope you managed to get your groceries and leave without waiting too long. In 1984 on WW I had diet ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce every afternoon. The ice cream was 1 milk and 1 fruit exchange and the chocolate 50 of my weekly calories. In 1998/9 counting points I would have a one point popsicle and enjoy it as much as or more than ice cream.
AUDREY: How long do you have scheduled at the beach? I remember going to Oceanside for summer vacation with the family...it was marvelous to be right on the ocean. California and Lebanon have similar climates with the beach, first mountain range, growing area between that first range and the one divides Lebanon with Syria. The nice thing about both places is the abundance of fresh produce readily available. My son had a business trip in the town where DisneyWorld is so took his family. They could share the room and he paid for the days at Disney. He said it was EXPENSIVE even in November. I remember taking my family for a day thirty or so years ago and it seemed expensive then. I also remember going back when you purchased a ticket book with alphabet labeled tickets.

Good morning, all!!!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ
DivaTaxi's done its morning run. Next are my DexaScan and mammo/ultrasound at 8:45. Then I'll take the Mouseketeer to his counselor for 1 PM. When MissMouse asked if I could bring him (so she can stay at work), the doctor asked if I "had control of him". So perhaps it's time for the doctor to see how the grandmas are part of the Mouseketeer's daily life.
Toots has rehearsal tonight so I'll be home on my own and looking for trubble. Dinner will be pasta bolognese with a tomato/cucumber salad.
Yesterday's play date turned into an all-day get together; they finally went home at 4 PM! After the trampoline park, we went back to the MousekeHouse for lunch, and the menu included chicken nuggets, Dominos pizza, and Dominos salads for me and DDIL. With four LIVELY grandchildren, it sure beat going to ANY restaurant, fast food or not. The kids played indoors and out, Toots took a nap, and DDIL and I talked for hours. Yes, I did remember to get the chicken cooked for dinner, LOL.
Our schedule for Saturday now includes squidSitting at the Plantation, beginning at 5 PM. Son#2 & DDIL will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on 8/15 and we already offered to squidSit so they could go out to dinner. We figure that we'll head out to KSMB, hit the picnic just briefly to say hello (yes, I'll still bring something, most likely wine), then stop at ShopRite in Princeton and take our supper as a Movable Feast to the Plantation.
I'm not racing out the door this morning - feels funny.
Coffee... βββ... breakfast... spreadsheet... lists...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ

Monday was MOSTLY OP - Today will be closer to exact than yesterday I placed an online order at our Walmart neighborhood (about 20mins away) and paid for it with my credit card. Randy is picking up after lunch today. I've never done this before and it was fun! If the PU process goes smoothly we may be doing more of this. June, excellent job with the pizza! Ann, enjoy OG...hopefully the overhydrating plan will work! Audrey, let me know how you like Summer of 69 - I'm on hold for it at the library. Becky, I enjoy browsing around in Ross from time to time...also Best Buy. I've not been in BB in quite a while...have fun. Susi, this generation does things so differently - you did what you can do . Hope you get home early tonight. My work has been nice lately. Cathy, congrats on the scale being down! Onederland is a glorious place to be...you're so close MJ, I've never had a salad from Dominoes...need to try that.

Audrey - The entire family walks to a different drummer. They aren't willing to "commit" to anything other than their work schedules. Even lunch today would be "too early to say". Cathy - I work for a family owned ocean front resort. In addition to the beach and bathhouses, the wristband includes unlimited rides in the ride park, the aquarium, miniature golf and a fun house. There are also restaurants/bars, food stands, gift shops, arcades, boutiques and games of chance. They will do what they will do. I made the offer. Ball is in their court. Need to get ready for work.

MJ, I've never had a salad from Dominoes...need to try that. Think simple sealed pre-pack, but a decent sized bowl and fresh. DDIL got the Chicken Caesar and I got the garden salad (which has some cheese) and added my own protein.

Ha ha ha... Limiting the pizza was easier because I had a plan. Also, when my nephew texted to say they were late, eating the boiled eggs gave me a protein boost so I was not starved. After the eggs, pizza, I ate my large salad. So I only had room left for a small taste of dessert. Another plus was that it was a thin crust w/ marinara sauce, Parmesan cheese, and two minisicule pieces of pepperoni. Nothing like our homemade deep dish or homemade wood fire pizza. Homemade or better pizza would require planning for a slightly larger portion or one piece on two different days.
I was super stressed yesterday b/c of R's job situation, medical prep snafu, and our nephew's imminent departure. Plus the "shock" period of dad's death is passing and the grief is more present. So I am giving myself a satisfactory grade for making reasonable food plans & adjusting as needed. I could have done a whole lot worse... Next time I would follow through w/ the microwaved, spiced apples. I ran out of time since I went to the university to finalize my syllabi & other 1st week "stuff."
Overall, it was a volatile day. But I stayed afloat.
Today, I am meeting my friends at Panera for lunch. Never a fav of mine. Likely to eat something that I do enjoy at home and just get a tea, water, or diet pop.

Good morning all. Felt great to sleep in. We'll be leaving at 10:30 for our jaunts June I have never stopped at 1 slice of pizza. Mine are more like 2 or 3. Fortunately I don't have pizza that often so it's justified Cathy great point about Olive Garden. I remember asking once before and the waitress gave me an odd look. My guess is that in that particular chain it is what it is. Susi I hear you on some families walking to the beat of a different drummer....in financial situations and other areas of life. LaDonna I've never used that feature at Walmart. Let us know how it goes. I will have to look into it to see if our Walmart does that sort of thing. I live in the 'boonies' so it would greatly surprise me if they did! MJ enjoy your day of not racing out the door. I bet that does seem strange Audrey I also have summer of 69 on hold at our library. There are a LOT of people ahead of me. Let us know how you like it. You always have great suggestions Becky hope the return goes smoothly. We will also be stopping at Home Goods today. I love to poke around in there. Waving to all and wishing all a wonderful OP day.

(((June))) sending soothing vibes your way. Enjoy being with your friend. I don't mine Panera bread. At least there are healthier choices there than at Olive Garden
