Karen, thanks for the start. I think Linda hit the nail on the head. You are going to have to nudge Dale to do some of the household chores and not just running to the stores or keeping Arya company while you do things. The good thing is that he has a barn to go to and is not constantly under your feet. Does Arya like going out to the barn? Have a good workout at the gym and enjoy your haircut.
Linda, one of my kitties had a fatty tumor on her side. I hope all goes well with Micki. After the year you have had I donāt blame you for having misgivings about going on a trip. I hope you woke up today feeling better than yesterday. 117Ā°! No way would I go out unless I had to.
Becky, the Apple watch never gives me activity minutes when I am shopping. I must move too slowly. I didnāt look at the Walmart parking lot when I went to Meijer yesterday. I wonder if it was empty. Meijer was just as busy as ever. I canāt say I enjoyed my workout yesterday and today so much as I got through them. My hip is hurting too much. I enjoyed the stretching though. I am beginning to wonder if it is not the hip so much as the sciatica or just age.
Kathy, I know what you mean. Local news is just as depressing as national news. I always felt fairly safe here as opposed to NYC. Not anymore. Did you ever think the day would come when kids need bulletproof backpacks? Are you still getting storms today? We need the rain. I am watering the lawn for the third day in a row.
I am sitting on the patio enjoying a nice cooling breeze and the occasional drop of water from the sprinkler. It is 72Ā° with low humidity. The cicadas are serenading me along with the mourning doves and the occasional whirring of an AC compressor. I will have to get up shortly and get to work but, at least, the workout is done.

Chele, how are things there? Are you still avoiding the news? I heard on our news that the shooter had mental issues and said he was obsessed with killing. Both of the shooters from the weekend were loners and it sounded like at least the TX one had been bullied in school. I have to wonder if there is a connection with kids being bullied then trying to get even with society as adults, and this is one way they think they can do it. You had a very nice, relaxing morning, at least until you had to come back inside. Congrats on getting the workout done early. Are the allergies improving? With your spending time outdoors, I hope that's the case.
We had a news segment on the bulletproof back packs here as well, Kathy. Wonder if it was the same one. They talked to a school resource officer and he said it would be pretty useless unless you were shot in the back. Did you see how expensive they were? How's your weather? Anything else popping up in the tropics?
Linda, how's the head congestion? What do you think is causing it to happen for you?
How's the pain level, Becky? I wonder if trafffic at a lot of WMs was down after 2 WMs had shootings in less than a week. I guess everyone went to HEB instead. Amazing that traffic was heavier there yesterday than it typically is on the weekends.
Liz, do you have more pain management options now? What did the vascular doc have to say today?
Thanks for all the retirement advice. I think my message was received. While I was gone today, Dale cleaned windows, resealed the stone bathroom sinks, and waxed cabinets and some of the woodwork. He also had another task after I got home because I got in the Subaru this morning and it was dead. So I had to take the Element and, after I got home, he removed the battery and took it to Auto Zone for a replacement. It also appears he will be continuing to work the part time gig he's had for about a year, so there will be some money coming in. Maybe it will cover his health and dental insurance. My back is still bothering me so I took it a bit easy some of the weights at AF. AMT didn't hurt. Weed pollen is moderate and I'm feeling it. The stinging nettle that usually works so well for me isn't cutting it right now. I ordered a new one I heard about called Rootology that has a combination of herbs that is supposed to be good. Guess we'll see. We are having Dale's birthday sushi today. I think the sushi chef hit the snooze button one too many times. I got there about 11:15 (they open at 11) and he only had 2 trays of sushi out. So that took longer that I anticipated because, of course, our favorites weren't available yet.

Sorry everybody is hurting.
The ElPaso shooter was part of a growing worldwide white supremacy group, an admirer if the New Zealand shooter. They link and plan on social media. He had a photo of guns spelling uo Trump's name and a manifesto to shoot Mexicans near the border. Shoot them is a crowd response at Trump rallies about how to stop illegals.
The Dayton guy was part of a group that hates women because they get rejected by them...a growing thing among young men...social losers blaming others. That caused a Shooting in Canada.
This idea that you solve your problems by shooting them is not good.
A New Vet did needle biopsy. it is just a fatty tumor but as it grows near his his āunderarmā it will cause problems. He also needs his molars cleaned before things get serious. So Thursday morning the tumor comes out and the teeth get cleaned...$$$$$$$. He should be home by supper. Still leaves me depressed. I hate to see animals in pain, and he has been so excited to go to the new vet this last year. The vet we started here last summer is out with pancreatic. cancer.
No plan today. yucky cloudy humid but only going for 104...which is yucky with humidity.

Chele, we had a storm about an hour ago, but it's quiet now. We're not even getting down to 72 at night, but the storms do cool things off a little. Glad you had a nice, peaceful morning.
Karen, I think the backpack report I saw was local. They didn't talk to a school resource officer, but I had the same thought as what they said about them not being that useful. The Parkland shootings happened while the kids were in classrooms, so they wouldn't have had their backpacks on anyway. They didn't mention the price, but I'm not surprised that they're expensive. They also said they're selling an insert that can go into a regular backpack. We're still getting storms almost daily, but the tropics have been quiet this week. They're worried about the warm Gulf Stream though. Wow on the extreme eating! None of that looks remotely appealing to me.
Linda, I saw the picture of Trump spelled out with guns and the rallies where they were saying shoot them. Really chilling. Poor Micki, but glad it can be taken care of so quickly.
Waving to Becky and Liz.

Karen Thanks for the start.
Chele I keep my Garmin in my sock although a pocket would probably work.I walk up and down several aisles even if I don't need anything on that aisle and sometimes it will add up to 15 min per store.I'm sorry you are hurting.72 with low humidity sounds wonderful. Our high was 100 with high humidity.
Karen The pain level stays pretty constant. It's not unbearable but it still hurts.School hasn't started up yet so since WM has more school supplies they have that traffic but I doubt many people buy their produce or meat.I'm glad Dale got your message.
Linda I'm glad Micki just has a fatty tumor.Your paintings are beautiful.
