Good Morning! I have been trying to read to catch up but thought I should just post that I have been hovering - just busy during my normal check in times Yesterday was a rough start to my day - trying to figure out which document to electronically sign for Lindsey's Financial Aid - thought I had it all taken care of in July - nope - did the wrong form - could NOT navigate the Federal Student Aid system for the life of me!!! Even followed the directions posted by the college - ugh - finally just contacted her Financial Aid office (they are SWAMPED this time of year) but someone responded at 7:30 am and said, yep, you signed the wrong form. Gee, thanks. Back at it last night after a long day and NOW I think I figured it all out. Waiting to hear in next few days if I did this one right. Been trying to price flights to Florida for a short Get Away weekend in October. Yikes. Looking expensive.

Nice waking up to 65 degrees today! LOL Humidity is up a bit - but I prefer it to the cold - as you all know!! So this is good.
Sue: Saw on FB you had a great trip to BJs...
Gabrielle: OH dear Trackin' on Thursday this week huh??? Sorry it looks "hard", but I have faith in you! {{{hugs}}} Oh and a longer run Saturday?? Hope it cools off for that! Good luck with the monitor - I hope it gives them the answers they are looking for...
LOL No Grampa had gotten up before Zoë Monday - I needed the bedroom to get ready for work! Yes, seeing TWO houses today - IF my injections go quickly, otherwise I will only see the 2nd... which YES is the house I would like! LOL Although I believe it needs "work"... looks livable so "in time" -- looks like plaster walls upstairs... we'll see. But oh my the downstairs... and the finished basement - with a sink and refrigerator already there... looks like room for Ken & I to "Come home" to... LOL BUT... I will not let her get in over her head - for the CHANCE that we may need a place to crash when we come home - IF we ever even get out of this house! UGH! Anyway - it's fun to look...
Hope your day went as planned... and did you get to your WW meeting??
Jenny: Aw, sorry the "resort" wasn't as you expected - but sounds like you made the best of it and had a good time regardless! $299.00 per NIGHT??! WOW! Yeah if you don't have a gift certificate - I wouldn't go there either!!
I am so envious of everyone at the beach these days... we are still hoping for Labor Day weekend - not the best "beach" time but will be nice to just be there! I'd also love a good shopping day... wonder if I can figure one of those into my fall!
I had heard that Gin or Vodka was the best alcohol for you... no carbs... but UGH... not sure I can handle that! LOL Guess I should actually "compare" them in a tracking place... or just give it ALL up and stick to seltzer! I have this gain from when my back and leg were bothering me... but once again I have the "maintenance" down to a TEE! I hate that I can maintain at the wrong weight!!
Oooooooooo, MED SCHOOL! LOL Save them pennies...

Lisa - I know you won't have time to read this but GOOD LUCK this week - I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures - DD Kim will be a beautiful bride and you will look wonderful!! It's FINALLY here!! lol Jenny - sounds like you and DH made the most of your Beach trip. Ymmm I bet clam chowder hit the spot! I am impressed Audrey has set her goals high!! Go Girl!! Lindsey has several friends in college who chose the medical field - many are doing the Physician's Assistant program - stay strong!! Carole - keep enjoying these Summer days, even if you are just hanging around your pool!! Hope work is not too hectic with Kaitlyn gone. But I bet it's peaceful and quiet lol Oh, I'm eager to hear what you think of the 2 house viewings tonight! Good Job you with being Mindful what you eat and your move more!! How's that 'tingling' in the back? Did it settle down? After taking ibuprofen I was pleasantly surprised my back was fine. Probably all this Gabapentrin in my system - ugh. LOL Gabrielle - I feel your angst about DS19 moving to school. It is hard. I won't deny the empty feeling BUT I will share, like our Sue, there is a different feeling to the house and you do adjust. Gary and I LOVE having the Girls Home but on the other hand we really enjoy having a TV and a Room to ourselves with no clutter made by others LOL Sue - waiting to hear the latest on DM. Hoping DS has filled you in on facts and not her ways. Any word from David? What night this week is it going to be CORN night? lol I have NOT been on FB so I do feel out of the loop with a lot of things. Shelly - Hooray!!! Sounds like you are doing so well and much much better! Hiring and training new employees always brings an air of optimism you know? Fingers crossed the new Closing Manager works out. I am so impressed you are taking the evening walks - much cooler temps then too! Good Job!!

Gotta get moving here - we had heavy rains and thunderstorms plow through yesterday but today will be cooler temps (70s) and just a peek of sun here and there. I'll try to leave my Office window open - I hate some days closing my door and blast the window ac - yes, it's cooler and comfortable, but I feel so isolated from the world. Eh, why am I complaining? LOL
Shingles is slowly slowly improving. My scalp still feels like blisters are draining (sorry, gross I know) but the PAIN in my forehead and eye seems to have decreased. I only need my lotion a few times a day instead of constant. I try very very hard NOT to touch the area as it only causes it to feel raw and painful. My eye is less swollen. And I am not waking up at night from painful burning. So that's good!
Work has it's own drama with the new Deans of Students - one of them is really okay, she's just young and smiles all the time, which is fine! The other one is Queen B and loves having Power and Authority!!! I quietly remind her daily we are a Montessori school - we promote Peace, Grace and Courtesy - ohhh no! not her! She is in CHARGE!! But I laugh to myself because she is clueless! I even started to just smile, nod, and say 'okay' to her as I walk away and do things the RIGHT way...this will be fun...oh, and the Prince? I don't see him. Just as expected. DL keeps him very busy picking out paint colors, and walking around all the construction. Keeps them occupied so I'm good.

Mornin' Christine: Hey no worries - been worried about you, but no worries about hovering! We know you are busy... hope you are feeling better too! Oh no... hopefully you got the right form signed and Lindsey will be all set this fall!
So hey - what about a flight to DC?? (wink - wink)...LOL Good luck finding a weekend get-a-way for you and Gary? Or whole family? Are you looking at FL in general or Disney??
Yes, the tingling down my leg seems to be OK after my shower, and moving - it's the initial "getting out of bed" and sitting here at the table that is most uncomfortable.
So far the week is going well... I have a few of Kaitlin's claims that I will tackle today... and 2 of my own... so today IS the day to get them done. My ATM is falling behind again - but I did get my month end packet ready for Accounting - so I can feel good about that!! LOL Yes, I think the peace and quiet makes it all worth it!! Seriously - I am not sure WHY When I am covering for her, I am NOT on the phone ALL.DAY.LONG... like she is... and trust me EVERY single phone call - we not only hear every word - but when she hangs up, she has to "vent" about the conversation... all work related... but again - when I am covering for her...I do NOT make that many calls - I do what needs to be done and WHAM I.AM.DONE.!
LOL I hear ya... I love having Tracy here (most of the time) but Then again - It.Is.Time... I want my own space - my own laundry - my own mess! With her not here I also feel like the house would be more "organized"! UGH I know I sound like I don't want her here... walking a fine line here!
We had hard rain yesterday here - but 19 miles away (at work) we had nothing! More of the same today I hear - then starting Friday we should be CLEAR - SUNNY - HOT for the weekend. YAY! Actually only supposed to be 75 for the Bank picnic Saturday - this year I am taking my girls... hopefully they can behave and have fun!
YAY for shingles going away! Been a long haul - still so amazed by how well you dealt with it all... Have to LOL that the Prince is busy picking paint colors, etc. with DL... yeah, glad they are kept busy but darn... shouldn't they be dealing with the upcoming school year stuff??? Guess we are not surprised...
OK Guess I should get moving here - need to make up a little time today - so I can leave early for injections and house viewings!
Remember to WORK IT WEDNESDAY Ladies... ♥hugs♥

Morning Carole, Christine and all to come....got a little rain last night but looking like we will be finding shelter on the porch for corn tonight....storms should be rolling in mid to late afternoon....if it's too bad we will postpone to tomorrow night but really hope we can make it work for tonight.....just want to be done!
Trying to read and feel like I know what's going on but falling behind in that!
Yesterday was "National Chocolate Chip Cookie" day so we were all treated at work to a giant yummy cookie and ice cream! It was fun but very filling and felt like I was in "sugar overload"! Still feeling a little "off"!
Time to pack my lunch and get this day started!

Good morning!
Heading out pretty early this morning to get my labs done for my follow up next week with the endocrinologist and then heading to a meeting in Sacramento. Today I get the monitor for glucose and a haircut...what a combo. Will be glad when we get this glucose examination thing done....I don't like it hanging over my head. Super hot yesterday but we have been promised some days in the low 90's through the weekend--it will be nice to have a little break. DS19's things are coming that we ordered....tonight is the night to finalize a list.
Carole: Thanks for starting us and have a great day---yes, it will be interesting to see how she likes that 2nd house (and it will be fun to look at it). Does she know that you prefer it? The bank picnic will be funner with the girls! I would think that, being around an uncommon setting, they will be just fine...nice that they can go! Yes, hope that you feel caught up after today. Hey, I was talking to a couple of people yesterday who get allergy shots and they said that, after a while, your body "takes over" and you don't have to get them much (or at all) anymore. Is that the case for you? That would be nice, huh? I know what you mean about Tracy moving out...I was actually thinking the other day about how things might stay cleaner (sorry DS19)..that part I won't mind. DS25 is on his flight to Boston right now. Left at midnight and he texted to tell me he boarded. He'll text when he gets there too. Hope that you have a good QUIET day at work
Christine: Oh, so glad that you are getting better sleep now! Wow, that can really kick you on top of everything else. Thank goodness for construction so that DL and her crew can be occupied, LOL. Oh, I don't miss those Financial Aid forms...they are so confusing. Glad that you were able to speak with someone. Thanks for your kind words---I'll move through it, but do get a little teary now and then. Just another phase of life, right?
Jenny: Good to see you but SO sorry that the resort was awful. Thank goodness it wasn't your own money, but boo to the bad place. We are supposed to cool down as well. I am not sure of the time on Saturday....we might have to fit in a run first thing so that would make it a little later, and we will be taking DS19 grocery shopping, helping get things set up, etc. We might get there a little earlier than planned on Friday and that will help. Still so glad to see you---and I can find something for us--we walked around there a lot last time and I saw some places. How great for Audrey! Are there any programs with the high school where she can volunteer at the hospital? We have them here and the kids LOVE it. DS 19 is studying Graphic/Multimedia Design. It is a two-year program at Lane and you have to be "approved" for year 2--submit a portfolio, etc. Then you transfer directly into a Graphic Design program at U of O. When we visited the photography school in Santa Barbara a few years back they told us that ALL graphic design graduates got jobs---hope that this is still the case. Regardless, it is what he seems to really enjoy right now. Hope that you have a good day!
Lisa, Shelly, Sue, and all who follow--hope that all is well! Have a good day girls, have to be out of here by 6:00 am so better get a move on....
