Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Some light rain overnight. Temps expected to just be in the high 70s, but the humidity is high too.
Office girl will be going back to school in 3 weeks. It’s her last semester, she said she’s not ready to be an adult yet. She will still continue to work full time, but just 4 days, including Saturday. She has classes on Monday and Wednesday so she won’t be working those days, and will work long hour the rest of the week. She needs 38.5 hours to be full time. I work longer days 2 days during the week so I can have a couple of short days, I hope her long days work for her. She’ll be done with school in December, then goes back to Monday thru Friday. I go part time September 30, should be interesting after that. And other cashier is planning to go part time in January. She just wants to work mon-tue-wed. Things will definitely be changing in the office. Young man says he’s going back to school too, but doesn’t have his schedule yet. It really doesn’t matter to us since he really does little real office work, and no cashier work.
Ruth - sorry to hear that Harper and Sawyer aren’t getting along. Hopefully is just a phase they need to get through. DB and I didn’t get along well when we were in our teens, but we’re close now. How much longer do you think your lives will be disrupted by construction? I’m sure you’ll be thrilled when that’s over.
Dottie- great job going through paperwork. That’s such a lengthy process. Do you have a shredder or do you have it shredded somewhere else’s? We have certain days when we can take boxes of paper to have it shredded, maybe 3 times a year.
Nothing planned for today, it’s my early day.
See you tomorrow

Joyce, lots of changes happening at your work place. Hope everything falls into place okay for you. I’m looking for a place to bring all the paper that needs shredding, usually there is something in fall in my town or a neighboring town. We have a shredder but it is not a heavy duty one so it will take forever to shred everything we have.
Ruth, hope your day is going okay and a better start to it than yesterday was.
It is in the mid 70s but very humid. Supposed to get storms this afternoon, although the weather guessers said it could be hit or miss. We need the rain but not storms. My car was sideswiped in a parking lot several weeks ago. I’m not sure what parking lot it happened in because it is on the passenger side back fender. Of course whoever did it didn’t leave a note. The repair will be about 200 more than submitting it to the insurance company so we are just paying the whole amount. We are with a new insurance company, with the last company for over 20 years and no claims. My vehicle will be in the shop for 3 days next week, UGH!!! Since it is a white vehicle the missing paint is very noticeable .

Good night all. I had a big post typed earlier today, but somehow it got lost in the mayhem of a 20 mo. old and an almost 6 yr old and other stuff.
Joy, sounds like with all the changes and all you will have lots of opportunities for OT!! More trips in your future!
Dottie, I have a box of papers to shred too from when DD & Kira helped me clean out the storage room. We went thru a huge bin and a paper box of papers and a lot of them needed shredding. Like you, old medical things that used to include our SS# as our patient #. Some of the papers I just tore off that portion of the forms and recycled the rest and will shred the upper part with those important numbers, names, etc. I think that was a hint that Cathy gave us a few years ago. She said if it’s just a couple lines of info that is confidential, tear it off and recycle the rest of the page. Thankfully our city does a clean up day in the spring and another in the fall, and they usually have a truck there that will accept the papers for shredding. Up to like 4 paper boxes per family. I should go thru the tax records I have for the years we don’t need anymore and add that stuff to the box.
Joy, I will be very happy to not have all these people coming in and out. It’s these early mornings that get to me. This morning he said the electrician would be here at 7:30, so we were up and ready. He came about 8:30 because he knew we weren’t big on early mornings, went to another small job first! But he and the mgr. aren’t making connections to pass along that info. Supposedly the original construction crew will be here at 7:30 tomorrow morning to put down all the moldings and the 2 door jams. The painter stained those that had to be replaced after he finished painting the other day. Don’t know if they were varnished or just stained. And the plumber is to be here tomorrow to put in both toilets. Friday morning they have a cleaner coming to get it all cleaned up and Friday afternoon we do a walk thru and pay.
The girls are like most siblings I think, but Harper has some issues that make it worse! DD is working on it I think and Sawyer enjoyed her time here. And Mara thinks Sawyer is just the best thing going, so that makes Sawyer feel really good!
Ok, going to bed soon! Have to be up early again and we still have Mara until dinnertime tomorrow. Hope to be here and actually finish a post in the morning.
