WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

I thought I had posted this yesterday.
Wednesday's Stats: SP 15 AP 4 Steps 6103 WP 22 remaining Water 52 oz
Thanks to all for the kind words.
Nancy-I attribute the level of control to my military background. I made the decision that I was going to get my weight back where it needed to be and went on from there to taking action to do so.
Hope to be back later

TGIF! We had a soccer scrimmage an hour away last night. We are a small, D3 school, and we beat a D1 school 3-1. I think these boys are going to have a good season. It’s bittersweet as Alex is a senior.
I was in such a bad mood yesterday. DH, my boys, and someone we hired will be painting the house this weekend. I got home tired and hungry, and just wanted to relax for a few minutes on the deck. Along with a few other annoyances, I arrived at home to find all the deck furniture out on the lawn in the full sunshine. I just wanted to unwind in the shade for a bit. I really dislike disorder at home, whether it’s inside or out. I am, however, looking forward to a spruced up house. The roofers will be here in September or October to put on a metal roof. I cannot wait.
I found Beyond Meat burgers at Aldi yesterday. I was very surprised! I had one for dinner, I thought it was very good. Definitely the most meat-like veggie burger I’ve ever had.
Kathy, your salad dressing sounds so good. Did you make it or buy it? As your boys grow, you’ll be buying even more food. You’ll be in awe at how much they can consume.
Nancy, have a wonderful trip! Just three more days left in C100 for you, and I think you’re in a great place with eating right now. I’m betting you can have a successful Columbus trip. If must feel so good to have gotten rid of so much stuff.
Hi to Lori and Louise.

C40 D7. Tracking. Exercising. Went off the rails at around 11pm last night. My big, naughty dogs ran away and came barking home at 11pm. I went downstairs to let them in and then just stayed in the kitchen grazing. 1.5 C cottage cheese (5pts), PB2 with a spoon from a jar (1pt for 2T, so remarkably low) and a small 1/2 cup of Raisin Bran with 1/3 C whole organic milk (6 points). So that was 12 points. I was under my dailies by 5 points and I was actually hungry. So it wasn't dignified. But I still managed a "blue dot" for the day. I checked a couple time - maybe they do something with the roll overs?? IDK.
We are off to my sisters wedding for the weekend. I'm bringing, literally, three gallons of a zero point black bean and corn salad. We're all staying at a camp in the north woods. Will be a lot of fun!! I'll pack some low point foods and hope for the best.
Nancy - hope you have a good time in Columbus. And come back to C101! You may not check back here for a bit, but can't believe it took this long for you to be registered as DH's caregiver... Sending good thoughts your way. We live in a remote place and there is limit or no home health aides. I've seen, first hand, 100 year old sisters have their 102 year old brothers move in so the sister could care for them! My MIL took care of my FIL, with some help from us, after he fell in May 2018 until he passed on December 2018. He never spent a day in the nursing home and in the end was having daily dialysis... It really took a toll on her - she' 83. But she is in fabulous health and doing well now. My very best thoughts are with you. Who stays with DH while you are in Columbus?
Lori - thanks for the encouragement. I actually thought of you as I beat myself up for last night's 'binge.' You are maintaining and have a rough patch now and then. I can do this!
Louise - yes, the military did give you self discipline. Way to go with getting back on track. How is DM doing?
Have a great day all. Not sure I'll be checking in on Saturday or Sunday, but will try.
Kathy

Jan - I can sympathize with the house disorder. It is so hard and I live in the middle of it a lot. Makes me very very very crabby. The cherry poppyseed dressing was from a farm in the berry country of northern Wisconsin. I bought one bottle, but should have bought more - so good! I made a spinach salad with peaches, broccoli and cherry poppyseed dressing. Yeah on the soccer! You are a good sports mom!!

TGIF is right Jan!! Work has been super busy getting ready for the new school year and covering for co-workers on vacation. Plus I’ll out out starting the 15th...
Nancy, have a fabulous time - you got this!! Hoping we can set a September date when you return.... Jan, congrats on the soccer win!! We’re looking into a new roof also, what made you go with the metal?? I like the way they look but wonder if there was another reason? And is there a big price difference in the two?? Your love when it’s all done! Kathy, yes- we all have rough patches no matter what stage of the journey we’re at. The great thing is that you choose healthy choices not sugary ones. I find that makes a HUGH difference with getting back on track quickly and that’s exactly what you did- BRAVO! Louise, your doing Great!!! You must be very close to being back in Lifetime status!!
DH grilled some peaches for me over the weekend, they are delicious in plain FF Greek yogurt with cinnamon and topped with my cereal mixture - Yum!
