Good Morning ~ thought I would take a few minutes here before the busy day begins! Plenty of SUNSHINE is called for throughout all areas today - I hope each of you has a chance to ENJOY it today! We miss it so much during the long winter months! Lindsey and a GF are running in a Color Run today so I am their driver as there is NO where to park in the downtown area for such large events like this - well, there are places but neither girl is familiar with driving down there so they asked for a ride I'll be 'on call' for when they finish - it's not far from here so it's an easy solution and I'm glad to help. Yesterday was a nice day. Lots of sunshine, a little cool, but overall a very nice peaceful day at the 'Dale where we visited. DSIL, DN, DBIL, and 13 yr DN ALL came to meet us later on - so it turned in to more of a Family day then Girls Day but still was nice. DN28 was in a soft-cast due to plantar fascitis that was raging out of control for her (ouch ouch) that has turned into some pulled tendons - she should NOT have been walking at all! But she insisted. Thankful there were cute Golf Carts decorated by residents there and offered rides for the elderly or disabled - we put Julie on one and she was so thankful for the ride from one area to the next. We never did get to share and have a few laughs over our individual readings. DSIL insisted on attending the late Assembly in addition to the 1:00 and 4:00 - by then Linds and I were tired. Which she predicted and was in a huff over. DBIL was very easy going and was fine with what ever. Linds and I voted to drive home at 4:00 with promises to meet up another time to share results. Nothing groundbreaking from the Medium's reading All very peaceful, with loved ones sending much JOY our way...ahhh...so nice. During my reading the Medium described each of my passed relatives with accuracy and spot-on advice! It was sweet and interesting - oh, and that I will be leaving my current job ON MY TERMS but will be crunching the numbers to plan 'next steps'.

Gabrielle - OW!! What the Heck! WHY is that doctor putting that painful glucose monitor on YOU? That sounds insane! I would be upset and concerned as to the reasons behind it's purpose too!! Oh my! Did the doctor's office suggest ANY thing to relieve such pain and pressure? You are not being a baby, trust me, that would hurt!! Now I'm wondering if it was placed correctly because WHO does that?? Ugh. I think you mentioned today is the day they remove it? I hope so - meanwhile, yes, mindful relaxation, meditation helps, such as redirecting your senses away from the arm - it somewhat helps me at 2 AM when my forehead feels like it's ON FIRE and not even a cool compress is helping, and crying isn't going to help - I get it. Good Luck gathering everything for DS19 and organizing for his move. I'm so sorry it's a struggle, emotionally, for you right now. Hugs. Carole - today is the Bank's Picnic so enjoy! What time is it at? Sounds like there will be plenty of options to make it healthier - I'm sure you'll do just fine. Do they offer activities for the little ones? or organized Games and prizes to win for employees? Sounds like fun!! Sue - Hooray for a FREE weekend!! I'm feeling pretty good about mine too - thinking of that grocery run, paying some bills, then leisurely puttering around my yard to weed and give it some much needed attention. Lisa - BIG DAY is today!!! I really hope everything is moving along as planned Can't wait to hear about the Family time and Kim's Wedding!!! Shelly - hopefully all employees are BACK and healthy and ready to work! No more 13 hour days for you - that is insane!! Stay strong and hopefully today goes smoother for a Saturday at the store.

Enjoying my 2nd cup of coffee and the quiet house -
Something interesting from yesterday's reading with the Medium - she said, "Your oldest is in a relationship that is convenient but she sees the same red flags as you do. She's having fun but knows he is not assertive and as determined to be successful with a plan as she is and this brings her concern. When she's ready, she will move on" In regards to Lindsey: " Your youngest is very strong, independent and, oh, says what she means! She is very empathetic and has strong intuition that she follows. She will not waste energy on things she feels don't serve her purpose." Makes me smile and nod my head - YEP
Okay, need to move, stretch, and plan this day. Hope everyone can enjoy SUNNY Saturday!!

Good morning!
Long run day so popping in early before leaving. Hoping that 18 miles of running will distract me from thinking about the pinch from this darned monitor. I actually called their office yesterday and asked if something could be done about the irritating pain and the girl on the phone said, "you've only had it on 2 days". I told her that it feels like someone is continually pinching my arm between their fingernails...constantly. She put someone else on the phone who said, " The only thing you can do is take it off." I asked, "how?" and she said, "pull it off". EEEK!! Kind of turned my stomach. I am really trying to power through Wednesday morning when they take it off. And I WILL share my thoughts.
Christine: Wow, so amazing about the medium and the accuracy! Have you thought that about Carly's BF?? Sounds like a really fun day! Thank you for your sympathy about this darned monitor...especially after all that you've been through. I could definitely use your meditation skills. The Color run sounds like a fun time for the girls--good for them! Hope that you have a wonderful, sunny day and feel like you get some down time.
Hello to all who follow...need to be organized --- getting a few last things for DS19 as we prepare for the drive next Friday (sob!)....I'll get through this like the others of you have! Might pop in later...

Morning Christine...thanks for getting us started. Woke up feeling like I'm going to get a summer cold...time to break out my wellness roller and nip it in the bud....do not want a summer cold if I don't have to get one....it worked over the winter so hopefully I can turn things around before I feel really lousy!
Heading down to Sarah's soon to watch the boys for a couple hours and will then do my shopping on the way home. I have to head in town anyway so made sense to go there to watch them, plus it's out of the way for them to bring them here then head to Gettysburg....they would have to drive right past their house again!
Back to Wednesday to continue getting "up to speed".....
Carole...sounds like you had a great plan to "work it" this week! Bummer you left without a receipt the other day but then again it will get you back to the store to get those last few things you need and you won't put it off to another day! I will say I think I'd be annoyed by that 1/2 hour drive after work but sometimes it just needs to be done! Ah yes Carole...love when I can take advantage of the bonus gas savings at BJ's....can't complain too much about the gas prices here now as they are lower than a month ago but heck....if I can save another $1.60 off each gallon...I'm in! Can't wait to read about the houses and if one will be "the one"! I'm sure the girls will be great at the work picnic today....sounds like you will have perfect weather. We are to be in the low 80's today!
Christine...so glad the financial aid days are behind me...was actually talking to David last night and Katie was working on some financial stuff for Sam.... I'm listening to all the parents at work that have college aged kids and just getting all those pieces in place is a PITA! Fingers crossed you got the right one this time! LOL.....I love your description of the school drama....definitely sounds like the one dean is "LARGE & IN CHARGE"!! Think "Dory" in your head....just keep smiling, just keep smiling..... do you think the Prince can handle picking paint colors??? Glad the shingles continue to improve..... question, not sure if it's already been "asked and answered" but if it was...I missed it. Will you get the shingles vaccine as well when this bout heals or should this bout act as your vaccine?? I have been meaning to see if you can get shingles again but keep forgetting!
Gabrielle....you surely had a full day on Wednesday...yes, monitor and haircut is quite the combo! I forget, how long do you have to wear the monitor...I'm sure you already shared that with us! Glad all the prep for DS19 is winding down and just about finalized for the big move!

Carole...glad your week seemed to go fast....not mine! I was so glad to finally make it to Friday! Sounds like you have managed to "keep up" pretty well at work and shouldn't be too far behind when Kaitlin gets back next week. Glad things are moving forward with Tracy....hopefully the credit union got back to her quickly so she can make an offer. I'm sure the bigger will be the best option with all her "stuff"! Sounds like there are more positives than negatives....while the street wouldn't be perfect, it sounds like the house is perfect even it will need a little work in time....it's "livable" now and that's a good thing! I'm sure for Tracy making such a big decision on her own is scary.....she doesn't want to make a bad decision that she will regret years down the road!
Christine...YAY for another contract job! I know the extra $$ comes in handy! And a local one too....always a bonus! That is odd that you hadn't gotten any for so long....any ideas why??? Guess the knee brace really does help a lot....bet you won't forget it next time! Glad you feel the time has come to start to cut back on the Gabapentin....means the shingles are getting more manageable. I know you hate all the side effects of the med! WTG Lindsey for getting rid of the older clothes and you can't sneeze at $83! I'm sure it was a nice dinner with the school nurse to celebrate her new adventure! Yes...being away from DL and the Prince is definitely reason to celebrate!
DM is slowly improving according to the texts from Kris....still "short & sweet"! She did say that she is peeing on her own but the amount is far less than what they were getting when she had the catheter so they are questioning some sort of retention issues which can lead to UTI in the future.....who knows! Hard to take much stock in many of the things Kris says so just thank her for the update and move on.
Carole....corn night is always a drag but when we are done....we are all glad to have it over the winter. Yes, Sarah is a "husker".....no one likes to cut it off the cobs so that is always my job.... Oh, to answer your question....NO COOKING of the corn....just pick, husk, cut off and bag it up! We used to blanch the ears then cool and cut off but about 10 years ago Sherry, at work, mentioned that she just cuts it off raw and freezes it....been doing it ever since....definitely saves a lot of time when you doing 13 dozen ears of corn!
Shelly....sorry the staffing continues to be an issue! Just when you thought you had everything in a good place! A positive note, the girl you let come back did get herself a sub so that was a good thing, just a bummer the sub called in sick! Any ideas where all the nails are coming from??? That is crazy!
Need to grab something for breakfast and get my list together and ready to head down to Sarah's.....should be back early to mid afternoon and will catch up then!

TGIF and re-focused on my water/liquids...
100 oz of water/liquid ✔️ 5 F/V ✔️ No sugar ✔️ No flour ❌ I ate the bun on my grilled chicken sandwich! Journal ✔️ No eating after 7 PM!✔️
Will attempt same goals today - being at the picnic, should be OK... but not "perfect"!
Christine: Oh dear... odd that DSIL would try to switch things up at the last minute... ahhh, a person who can't seem to "relax" anywhere?
I had about 50 minutes after errands last night - before grabbing Zoë, and I totally enjoyed it! Just sat with my tablet and read - with sun shining in the sun roof... ahhhh ☼
Sue: LOL And then there was no work to do! LOL I know the feeling - this week covering for Kaitlin, I didn't have much "free" time, but this week with everyone back I think I will!
Hope Friday went smoothly and you can hit the weekend feeling good about the work week!
Gabrielle: YAY for Track Thursday for you... Nope never heard of Cabi... so did you buy something??
Uh Oh... hopefully DS19 is around this weekend to spend time with you and Ed... How is Ed handling the youngest "leaving the nest"? Oh NO... the monitor HURTS??? I am not familiar with sugar levels - I guess mine are usually OK... how long do you have to wear it??
Oh Nice... that DS can count this 2 years towards the 4 year University... sounds like a good plan for him!
Tracy hasn't been home since Wednesday so I am not sure if the bank gave her more info - or not... she drove by the house during Open House and there were no cars there... not sure what she's thinking - or what she wants to do next... I am not asking... don't want her to think I am pushing her into this house!
Thank you - all in all it was a good day yesterday - got almost everything done for both Kaitlin and myself... left 2 claims for each of us! LOL Seemed fair to me!
Sue: Oh dear... hopefully the errands were fun ones!

Mornin' Christine - Thanks for starting us off before you get busy with the day. Glad you are able to be the Uber driver for the girls... we have a race in a neighboring town - and we all know to AVOID - AVOID - AVOID... the area - at all cost! LOL
We are expecting high 70s and sunny - perfect weather for a picnic, but it is still only 65 degrees and kind of overcast out here! Lately I have noticed the changing "sun" - if I go to lunch to late, I miss the sun on the picnic table! Also not staying "daylight" as long... it's coming! UGH!
Well - WOW - to the change of plans for the day all around! Glad you and Linds had the option of heading home "early"... I like your readings though... Ken's cousin Di is (now?) a "Medium"... she posts on FB all the time about where she will be and when.
Picnic isn't until 2:00 PM... as a member of the team "working" I need to be there at 1... it's about 35 minute drive, so no hurrying here (yet)! LOL I still have to assemble my basket for the raffle too!
We "give" each employee 5 raffle tickets - they can choose which basket to take a chance on, I think we have 10 total this year. In addition we raffle off a "PAID DAY OFF" to each employee present... we have games, Corn Hole, Ladderball, Lawn Yahtzee... bubbles for the kids... cards... live music and a DJ... no prozes - just time to play games together - COrn Hole can get pretty competitive between the CEO and CFO - Just sayin'.... Thank goodness there are no prizes involved! LOL
OH yes, and one guy brings stuff for a Wiffle Ball Tournament... if anyone is interested!
Caterer serves at 3, with an ice cream truck at 4, raffles at 4:30... scheduled to end at 7, but last year we were out of there at 6:15! LOL Once the food and raffles are over - folks head home.
Oh and we have a Hamster Wheel... where kids and adults cane run the wheel to make their own sno-cones/slushies... with the bar, the adults can make it a "drink" if they choose. The bar is a cash bar - and we have free bottled water available... Employees can bring family - but the whole day is FREE to everyone - unless they want a soda or alcohol.
It's ALL about the Employees today!!
Oh they can also purchase 50/50 raffle tickets... they get half the money and the other half is donated to a local charity... this year we chose an organization that helps transition people from homeless into the "real" world... Happens to be the same organization that helped Matt & Patti's friend Tyler... helped him get a space in a group home - find a job - helped with normal life skills, like cooking - sharing space - balancing check book... etc., a real positive organization to lend a hand to. We usually do pretty well with raising money for the group we choose - hoping we do well today too!
So all in all - it brings to the forefront our bank "motto"... Care - Connection - Community... hoping for a nice drama free day!
My biggest "gripe" with the day is the number of people that replied YES, and gave us a head count - and now a lot have opted out! Seriously? After we book the caterer - based on the RSVPs... much like a wedding - people don't get it - or don't care... it's not their money... anyway - everyone will have a great time (I am sure) and I need to hit Dollar Tree (again) for take out containers as there will be leftovers to send home with folks!

WOW... so interesting to hear the readings... Enjoy your day - in the sun - weeding - shopping - stretching... 'all good ♥
Gabrielle: I am so sorry you are dealing with that darned monitor! YIKES! Thanks for sharing - as I will say if my Dr ever even suggests it I will refuse! PULL IT OFF? SERIOUSLY??? UGH!!!
Sue: Good luck with the wellness roller... could it be allergies?? I know when I went Wednesday the nurse said (around here) Ragweed is out and doing all it can DO to bother people!! I was actually noticing my eyes were bothering me last week - this time I will go 3 weeks instead of 4... better to ward it off sooner - rather than later!
What's going on in Gettysburg for the kids?? SO much for no plans, huh?? LOL It happens!!
OH - well - I still haven't made the trek back to Wal-Mart... I may not bother... I will try to turn in my CC receipt and see if that's enough... we'll see...
LOL Yes bigger is better for my girl! I think if there was no activity at the Open House - Wanda will let her know the next step. On the other hand, if there was no activity, she may be able to wait a bit - see if they budge on the price, and still view others in the meanwhile? Have to let her tell me what she is thinking! What I do KNOW is she should not make an offer until we take Ken to see it too... just because!
NICE! Now I have another reason to maybe get some corn - with one step erased! LOL Thanks for the tip! No way I'd ever do 13 dozen! WOW!
OK Time to get off the computer - build my basket - gather my stuff... Tracy and Eden have not arrived yet - so showers when they get here may be short! UGH She said they'd be here at 10... They slept in the camper last night up at Melissa's land... she is Tracy's friend with the little boy Eden's age... they are building a house - and meanwhile living in a motor home on the property... so Tracy took her camper up yesterday too. They were going to the lake for the day then a camp out... I am hesitant to see what mood my girls are in by the time they get home!
Meanwhile I need to do what I can to get ready to go...
Probably won't be back today - it will be a long day - and I will be ready to crash when I get home! LOL
Enjoy the day ladies... hope you all have a sunny warm day to enjoy ♥
♥hugs♥

Good morning all
Just running through right now. DH pick up dropped it's drive line last night on the way home so I have to go chase parts with him today this morning and then Audrey dances at a local fair around 3:00 so it's going to be a busy day.
Have a great day

Hi all....back from the time with the boys and shopping! Had to get myself some lunch/early supper when I got home....realized I had breakfast, fed the boys lunch but wasn't hungry at that point and then as I was shopping are felt like I was getting a headache....had the last of the shrimp I had made last night to fill the hole for a bit...Jason will be bringing corn home from the lot tonight so I will have that and maybe a salad when he gets it husked!
Back to Friday....
Carole...I thought that with Zoe alone she was not a super early riser....yay for no alarm this morning! You sure had a packed Friday! I will say when the storms came through here overnight Wednesday into Thursday it really improved the weather.....we have had 2 glorious days with much lower humidity and plenty of sunshine...supposed to be like this tomorrow and Monday too! I'll take it! WTG on a great Thursday and getting back on track with your water! I knew you could do it! Love all the green check marks!
You might be right Carole about Jaclyn and her family relationships...had they all been together over the years it could be very strained...yup, look at Ken's family and mine too for that matter! One day at a time and who knows what the holidays will hold years down the road....follow Jaclyn's lead and all will be fine!
You know Carole....you might find that getting your water intake back up to what is used to be it could help the swelling....I know for me, if I'm good and hydrated my ankle and fingers don't swell as much as if I'm behind on water/liquids! YES...if you focus, the picnic will be no problem at all! Sounds like the menu has some good choices for you!
Christine...I had forgotten about your Medium visit coming up! Sorry DSIL made things difficult for you and Linds.....LOL, when you said "waiting" I figured it was hours....not 30 minutes! She seems a bit dramatic. Nope, can't say I blame Carly for opting out of the drama!
Gabrielle....glad you enjoyed your "track day" on Thursday! OK...what is a Cabi party??? Never heard of that one! Is Cabi the brand of clothes??? Glad it was a fun relaxing evening. YIKES....that monitor sounds miserable. Wait....your blood test was NON-FASTING??? The norm for a FASTING blood sugar is 70-100.....if it was non-fasting it will almost always be higher depending on what you ate and when you ate it! This monitor seems like overkill to me! LOVE that Max has a plan to do the community college thing and then transfer....definitely establishing residency in OR it will help a lot! LOL...Jason and I are still in awe of how much help Kellen & Jackson were on "corn night".....they honestly save us adults HOURS of work! And not a word of complaint.....they truly love Grandpa and his garden and I think that helps.....the fact they could help pick gives them ownership to the process.....not like getting 13 dozen ears from the market and doing it....they have watched the whole process and know how hard Grandpa works so that they can enjoy the veggies! Makes my heart so happy to see their enthusiasm!

Christine...I think our entire state is enjoying a beautiful summer day today! Glad you can be the "uber" for Linds and her GF today....I'm sure you dropping off and picking up makes things much easier! Sounds like you day yesterday turned out pretty fun....sorry DSIL was still "intense"....glad DBIL could be more leveling to the day! Very interesting the medium's "take" on your job.....sounds pretty spot on to me! Interesting insight on Carly's relationship and the description of Linds made me smile....sounds like she "nailed it"!
OMG Gabrielle...not sure I'd be as eager to endure the pain/discomfort until Wednesday....this monitor better show something! Definitely need to make the staff realize what you went through...I think they could have warned you what the process would feel like. I'm still baffled as to why they are so concerned over a non-fasting blood sugar of 100.... Hugs to you my friend...I promise, you and Ed will one day love the "empty nest" but it is a strange adjustment....one you know it coming, you are glad when your kids move forward but it still is hard for momma to "let go"!
Carole.....I still see lots of green checks! WTG!! I'm sure Tracy's emotions are running like crazy....I'm sure in her head she knows she can do it....you know a bank would not give her a loan if the mortgage didn't fall within the ranges.....I know almost my entire check covers the mortgage and car payments.....Jason's covers utilities and extras......but still when we got our mortgage it could only be a certain percentage of our total income.....I know she'll figure it out! Can't wait to hear what the credit union said and if she put in an offer. I totally get you wanting to stay quiet so she doesn't feel like you are "pushing her out"!
Oh Carole....trying hard not to think about the shorter days and the coming cooler temps....trying hard to live in each summer day and thoroughly enjoying it while I can! Your picnic today sounds like fun! I love the couple of pix I saw on FB before I came here to post! Love that the event is free for employees and families unless they want the "extras"! Not surprised people start to head home after all the food and raffles are over.....LOVE the 50/50.....nice prize for the employee who wins but an awesome gift for the charity! I'm sure it's a big prize....most 50/50 drawings for charity are huge successes.... UGH!! I'd me annoyed too at people who say they are coming and then "no show"...it is like a wedding...regardless of who comes you still have to pay for the food/drink! At least leftovers will not be wasted....that would be sinful!
Don't think it's allergies Carole...I've never had allergies in all my 59 years so I'm convinced it's a summer cold trying to jump on me! Actually feeling better now...got "cold oils" diffusing now to hopefully help....my head isn't as stuffing and my cough has subsided a bit....brought my roller down to Sarah's with me to re-apply every couple hours....fingers crossed I can "cut it off at the pass"!
The kids wanted to head to the "Grand Opening" of a new brew pub in Gettysburg.....they have been trying to have a "date day/night" every week or two....we all know how caught up in the kids/work we get and making time for each other always gets put on the back burner. A couple for friends mentioned it was opening and asked if they wanted to come along....they left about 10:45 and got home just after 1:00 pm. They had fun and enjoyed "grown up" time! The boys, even Colton, were great today for the most part...then they hit "competitive mode" and I hollered FOUL! Sent each to get something quiet to do...Colton grabbed a book and climbed up into the big red maple....K/J got coloring books and markers/crayons and went to the fort on the swing set....everyone mellowed out and then all 3 of them wrote and performed a song for us. I will post the video on FB...it's a hoot! They named their group "Mill3r Boys".....note the "3"! Made me smile...they were so excited!
Oh Carole....we did a lot when the girls were little but when it was just Jason and I we didn't do 13 dozen but now with Sarah's gang....we make it a joint effort and do enough for all of us......I pack everything in 3-4 cup bags and you can easily "break up" the kernels once frozen if you only need a cup or two....I usually always have a bag upstairs to add to recipes or salads as needed.
Hi Jenny....saw you run through on your busy day! Will have to watch FB for video or pix of Audrey's performance!
Time to put my feet up and relax a bit.....will pop in later or in the morning! Waves to anyone I missed!
