This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning everyone.
Just popping in to get us started. Basically just the normal Saturday stuff here. A grocery shop and yard work are the only things on the agenda at the moment.
I hope everybody has a great Saturday. I'll try drop back in later.

Good Morning Lora and ATF...slept pretty well...was up early and did a little reading/study and crocheting (very little - ha). I am enjoying my coffee and then DH and I have been asked to sit in the clubhouse from 10-12 to answer any questions that prospective buyers may have - we enjoy helping out this way because we love our new neighborhood. I hope to ride the bike or something later today....hope everyone has a great day...bbl

Hi Everyone, We are on the way to Cape May. This is a long drive that obviously I am not doing. I hope that we will get there by 2 pm if not sooner but then we still have to walk down to the beach once we get there. Other than that nothing new. Tommorow I will work on that portfolio book that I have procrastinating on putting the pages and pictures in. I guess tommorow will be that day. Lol! Have a great day!!

Good afternoon all. I woke up at 3:30 AM with my shoulder hurting. What's up with that??? I pulled something the other day just by turning my head when I was getting off the train from the city and it bothered me yesterday and then in the early morning. I took Advil, read for awhile, and got back to sleep for an hour or so. I feel just fine now so I have no idea what I did or where it went, but these kinds of things alarm me these days since that's how my whole back ordeal started. I think a nap is in my future this afternoon.
Went to WW with DN and did WI, up .8, which is fine with me. I'd had such a dreadful week the week before that I knew I'd be up this week (from 2 weeks ago) regardless of how OP this past week was. And so it was. I'm not crazy about the meeting we go to these days but it's really close to home, so that's a plus. Since I leave for CO next Saturday we'll have to WI on Friday, which shouldn't be a problem. I think I'll take Friday off anyway since I have to leave for the airport in the afternoon and I can spend the day packing and organizing.
DN and I went out to breakfast and I had something I really enjoyed: 2 poached eggs on top of spinach and smoked salmon on an English muffin, no hollandaise. And black coffee. Can't believe I've gotten used to it black and generally enjoy it. When I'm home I'll have my coffee with cashew milk so I get some calcium in me - I do a "Susie latte" most of the time. But when I'm out, black is so good. Then we went for a walk on the track in the park - we're having spectacular weather here today and it felt so good to be outside. Then to our local place where I can get local fruit and veggies, fresh fish, so I'm pretty well stocked for the week. Tomorrow I'm getting together with friends up at one friend's lake house in CT (where I go every year). There's always an issue for me with the food so this year I persuaded the hostess that I would bring most of lunch - rotisserie chicken, green salad, and roasted corn and black bean salad. I figure that gives me plenty to eat and she can supplement with whatever she wants.
Going to a movie tonight, can't remember the name, about a Chinese-American woman who goes back to China because her grandmother there has a terminal illness and no one tells the grandmother who thinks everyone has come to visit for another reason entirely. Got really good reviews so should be fun.
Lora, I'm just editing my post because when I wrote this earlier I asked how the movie and the evening were yesterday and then realized I should go see if you posted last night. Ha. Sounds like you had a grand time. Lovely.
Gail, so good to see you posting and to hear how well you are doing. You're really inspiring me with your persistence with IF - the part that impresses me is you just keep going, you don't do as I do and keep looking for the next magic solution. Wow, those DGKs are getting so big! I remember when both were born!
Janet, what fabulous weather you got for Cape May! Can't wait to hear about it.
Susie, you're so smart to be involved in who moves into your development.
Have a great rest of day, all.

Even tho we got down here late it is great and the water was great and I could actually get into the water up to my waist. The water just lifted me up gently. It was a bit more of a challenge to get out as the water kept pulling me back in. I fell twice but didnt get hurt or anything. Then we will find a place to eat which I hope wont be too expensive.
