Sunday I am willing to be willing and aware as I plan track and hydrate. I did okay yesterday...fell into a few nuts (the food type LOL) but I tracked it best I could.

When we got home George was passed away on Robβs bed near the pillow, his favorite spot I had to ask Bob if he was actually dead because it must have happened just before we arrived. He was born May 6, 2002 and had a long life. He was a chocolate Siamese cat. Today Laura is having an early birthday party at 1:30 for Leo because her in laws are visiting for the week. I had his gifts wrapped before our trip so I only had to add ribbon. We have to plan meals and buy groceries for the week. Rachel and family are coming for dinner Tuesday and Rob and Theo will come Wednesday. Lots to do this week and tomorrow Iβll call about getting the shower door fixed.

Ann I had to LOL about the nuts you fell in to.I have almonds quite often but I measure them so I can track them but there are other foods I fall into that aren't as healthy as nuts.
Audrey I'm so sorry about George. He did live a long life.I have never had a cat to live that long.I hope Leo enjoys his birthday party.Have fun.
Sunday goals are the usual track, move and hydrate.I am also willing to be aware and KOKO as I know how to do.We will go to church but other than that no other plans.
Have a good Sunday all.

Thx, Ann, for getting us started. Falling into nuts.. funny. I can eat almonds in moderation, have done so in the past. But cashews are a whole different questions.
Agreeing w/ Susi. Was interesting to learn more about my friends here.
Pam Glad that you all could share stories, laughter, and time together. Great strategies for getting back to your routine.
Audrey Am sorry that George passed. There's an emptiness in your house when you loss a pet. To live that long, George obviously received good care and lots of love.
LaDonna Family makes those "buttons," so it is easier for them to find them andpish them. Susi LOve how yiu are willing to indulge in a mindful way and then adjust.

Cathy, they are really called dragonfly. I have always heard them called mosquito hawks. They patrol in front of my apartment each morning --- flying back and forth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DragonflyAudrey, sorry about your loss. He sure was a beautiful cat. Ann, at least the nuts were good protein. Becky, sounds like a good plan. June, praying for Richard and you. Glad you could get the Cobra. Susi, that was a great pic you posted on FB. Pam, keep aiming for blue. LaDonna, hope it's a good day for you! I am gonna follow Becky's plan. Hope all have a great OP day!

Sunday's goals
Clean the house. Goodness I never finished reorganizingmy study and there is stuff everywhere inthe living room. Give myself credit not going to the store to buy comfort foods. Loaded up onfruit & vegetables instead.
Have to share this: I baked cookies for R's friend,Marty. I had one, saved R a few,and took one to mom. Found her sitting w/ hr friend. Joined them. We laughed and laughed. Mom's friend really liked the story of how we discovered that mom ltold us a whopper about how she snared dad. She claimed that she roped dad while riding a galloping horse. We had ponies and one old sway back, very placid horse. My twin & sisters convinced mom to get on the horse. The horse shuffled forward at a glacial pace. Mom totally panicked. The jig up was. My audience laughed so much that I imitated the horse a second time. Mom laughed even more and so did her friend. We laughed so hard during my visi that my mouth almost hurts. Did my heart good.

I am willing to:
* think before I bite * write what I bite * fruit/veg at every meal * exercise - set time for an hour then do something for at least five minutes
We went grocery shopping and I picked up some whole wheat tortillas and cheddar cheese with burritos in mind. I have beans soaking for the week and will use some in those burritos. I also bought hamburger buns and plan to have some of the bean burgers I made with last week's beans as quick meals this coming week. We still have the eggplant and green beans to make into something. I used some of the cooked beans on top of a baked potato with tuna, onions, tomatoes and fat-free cheese - tasty! Now to make the rest of the beans (hubby bought like 5 pounds of them and cooked less than half!). I looked for ice cube trays but they didn't have any visible on the shelves so will go to another shop sometime this week. I need to make an effort to use what is in the freezer. I keep grains and flours and nuts in the freezer because they tend to get buggy...then the freezer has no room for OTHER things. Tonight I will talk to children and granddaughters via Skype - looking forward to it. After reading everyone's comments it sounds like perhaps there was a major windows 10 update that everyone had to endure and not just me...of course I also had the previous few updates to endure, too.
ANN: First smile of the day goes to you...falling into nuts indeed I wish you were closer to help with the figs, too! Hubby took two of my colanders to use to dry figs and left me the broken one...asked where they were and he is now trying to clean the holes of the ones he "borrowed". YIKES to the bear! My sister used to live in Paradise, California (before it had that huge fire burn most of it) and had a bear break into her garage to eat the dog food they kept there. She said they "caught" the bear later...not sure if it was killed or tranquilized and moved AND another friend had one trying to get in the back door in a different neighborhood in Paradise. Bears are fun from a distance but don't think I would want to be too close to one in real life!
AUDREY: Sounds like a busy week. So sorry to hear about George It sounds like he went peacefully in a place he loved.
BECKY: Do you have humidity where you live? In Houston the humidity was so high that if they didn't use the AC/Heat year round mold would grow everywhere. My husband is outside most of the day watering and harvesting and such. That or on the computer. I sometimes worry that he won't come in one evening and I might have to look for him. He is 80 but thinks he is still 20. He also complains about not sleeping and last night said someone had a party or the radio/music on at 2am and he had to close all the windows and was hot and could not sleep even with the fan on. He does sleep in front of the computer but says he really just "closes his eyes" and is listening...though he doesn't hear me when I say hi and walk by
JUNE: LOVED the story you shared with your grandmother's friend about roping your grandfather I haven't tried any of the mocktail recipes (yet) but my family used to always serve punch at parties and would serve sparkling cider in champagne glasses at Thanksgiving and Christmas. When my non-drinking friend is here and it is a big feast day I will have cranberry juice and 7-Up to make a spritzer type drink and serve it in a wine glass for her or the apple juice option with 7-up. I used to have pomegranate syrup or mulberry juice or cranberry juice in a big wine glass when in the tub if I was off of wine at the time...something to sip from a pretty glass that bubbled and looked pretty, too. Why is milk bad before bed? I have heard it is good to help one sleep? Laugh three of the morning - your comment about the bad pun reading about "what's on our plates" Interesting about the hunting your husband and LaDonna's share interest in. I think I have tried deer meat one time when I was very young while visiting my uncle's family in Michigan.
BEE: Thank you for telling me about mosquito hawks being dragonflies. We see a few but haven't seen as many since hubby drained the duck "pond" after our lasat duck died. I love learning new information Well...I just looked them up AND found this...are the ones you saw like this or like dragonflies? entomologytoday.org/2015/08/17/mosquito-hawk-skeeter-eater-giant-mosquito-no-no-and-no/ Second smile today was reading you had lost your "git up and go"...mine tends to wander, too
SUSI: I have seen harnesses and think they are a better idea than the collar and leash...hate seeing a dog pulling and choking. How many ferals do you feed? We could have hundreds if hubby was willing to feed them It was an interesting conversation today
MJ: I get tired just READING what you do in a day! How many families and children do you taxi around and watch over? I can see that a master schedule with all participating in creating it would be essential during the school year!!! Happy Birthday to your Toots That said...I WISH I lived close enough to my granddaughters to be there and help out!
LADONNA: How successful is your husband during deer season? Is there a limit to how many deer one can take down? I don't know anything about what is and is not allowed but know that my daughter is on 80 acres of land near a forest in Missouri and during turkey and deer season hears a lot of shooting...said that some would pay to come shoot on her land. I, too, do the every 3 hours or so trip to the bathroom at night but try to keep my eyes closed as much of that time up on my feet as possible and don't usually have trouble sleeping afterward.
PAM: Envy you the time with family reliving old times and making new memories!
BECKY & LADONNA: Interesting that you both have anniversaries a couple days apart and husbands who hunt(ed).

No, Cathy, the only ones we have are the ones I showed you. Never saw those you showed before. Let's start our Sunday off with a laugh. This is really how it is at my house, and my innards are well exercised.

Good morning!
Bee j Ha ha ha . . . Nothing wrong w/ "stealing" Becky's statement of good intentions. Sometimes when I want to likewise steal Becky's, yours or someone else's "can do" lists,, I am tempted to just type -- "DITTO!" That's an inside joke. Our teenage nephew was shy when ordering at restaurants, So he would wait until said what she wanted and then he would place his order by with one word, "Ditto." R & I use that bit from time to time and laugh.
Cathy Love that you will "see" your lil ones tonight. So many delicious ways to eat beans. Reading your list makes my mouth water. Cute story about your DH & missing colanders. Ha ha ha... that was my mom who told all of us children that she boldly roped our dad. It's a cute story. And I had lots of fun dramatically painting the picture for mom & her new friend, V. My physical imitation of the plodding horse had us laughing so hard that I did it twice.

Good morning all. Loved reading about all you gals posted. Like Susi it's nice to find a closeness to y'all by what you write and share. I thank you for that. Today I am all planned and tracked. Now to just stick to it That can and does get tricky. I shall do my best. Audrey so sorry to hear of George's passing. Yes he did have a long life. He is at the rainbow bridge meeting Rachel and connecting with all others that went before him. I wonder if I'll see Mr. Bear in my travels today? Time will tell. Wishing AWF a wonderful and OP Sunday!

Bee j Thanks for the chuckles. So funny. I am sometimes guilty of laying down my phone somewhere in the living or kitchen. I have discovered the unexpected location of the "fountain of youth," ---mom's nursing home. Bless their hearts, the residents who I am getting to know think I am very young. But I also like joining the activities and talking w/ the other residents who are friendly.

Ann - I hear you. Audrey - I am so sorry about George. He had a long good life with you. Enjoy Leo's party Becky - Good plan Laughter truly is the best medicine June We get a lot of dragonflies here Bee Cathy - I too will be converting garden pickings into some meals. Planning on making most of them into grilled veggies to serve along with bbq chicken thighs for my friends today. Ginger and Gracie were the originals. Their mother was killed by a car when they were just a couple of months old. Callie had another litter of 3 blacks and 1 orange. 2 of the blacks were killed by cars and Blackie and Blondie are alive and well. Onyx is not feral but shows up from time to time. Callie is the only one we have not been able to TNR. My sister and I and a couple of neighbors are working on that. She had another litter that our neighbor TNR. She was able to keep on of them. And she just trapped the last litter, fortunately only 2, that she will TNR. Fortunately there is a great organization that helps defray the cost of TNR and Jessica is a vet drug rep so her company also helps.

Good morning, all! Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... Additional prayers for all our travelers... for safety and health and ENJOYMENT... Audrey, I am so sorry about George. πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ We got in after 11:30 last night and I was wide awake at 6 AM. <sigh>. It's coming up to 7:30 and Toots is also up now (no, I did NOT poke him). Yesterday was, indeed, wild. The WW workshop was OK. Toots & I opted for doing Not Much before we headed out to ShopRite and then KSMB. Brunch with his siblings was fun - we did a lot of laughing, especially at "being old" - and that's a GOOD thing. Then we headed to the DayJob "Reunion Picnic", stopping at a liquor store to get some wine (in screw-cap bottles) and walking into a police intervention with another customer (only in Toots&DivaLand, LOL). Our stop at the picnic was brief - how quickly that hour passed! - and fun to catch up. Then we drove cross-state to stop at Wegmans in Princeton to pick up our Movable Feast for dinner at The Plantation. We got to Son#2's a tad bit early, which for us was right on time. Our evening there was relatively skirmish-free and the parents enjoyed their anniversary dinner at Lambertville Station www.lambertvillestation.com. TOOTS MOMENT: DBigBro mentioned at KSMB that he was going to have his pacemaker replaced at the end of the month since it's 10 years old. I said to Toots later that I didn't know Russ HAD a pacemaker (that was before KSMB was A Thing). What did Toots think Russ said? That he was getting a knee replacement. <ahem>. Have I mentioned Toots' hearing deficiency and its subsequent challenges? This is why I go to all his appointments with him... OTHER Toots Moment: He took a pic of me and the national plant manager at the picnic - the dude with whom I had a prickly work relationship for most of my 18+ years with the company. On Dan's phone, e-mailed to me. It's blurry. Have I mentioned that Toots is much more tech'NOT than tech-y? <sigh>. Looks like I'll have to plan a trip to CHI to get a memento. Sunday? Slow start. We'll head to Son#1's for 10 AM-ish to help him cut down two small trees (we borrowed Son#2's SawZall). Then Sunday Steak Dinner to celebrate Toots' birthday. NASCAR Monster Energy's on TV at 3 PM. That should be enough for one day, LOL. Coffee's good... βββ... ibuprofen's also good... πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ

Ann Aha! A "ditto" situation if there ever was one. I also love learning more about my friends here. We see black bears around the fishing outpost. Some appear in our area, but none have ever travelled through our property or yard. Ha ha ha... bears are only interesting to me when I am viewing them from inside a secure location or from a great distance. .
