Monday Mindset... Although I had a pretty Simple Sunday - I still need to "Regroup" for the work week ahead! I have salad made but not "ready"... I also made an oven omelet last night while supper was cooking, so there is that ready to pack! I have peaches, and almonds for snacks, and a protein shake... I never did get to the store to restock protein bars! I'll figure it out - oh and pulling steak for dinner!
Kept it fairly simple Sunday... I got some rocks moved to the driveway side of the house to fill in my - whatever you would call it! HA! Kinda like a garden area but just rocks... since plants will NOT grow there - no sun... rain right off the roof - what-have-you, I put up one row of garden stones and filled in the area with rocks... I like it! May top it with shells at some point - may not... it's mostly to hide the area that looks "eh" coming in the house... I still have the other side of the porch to do - in time... Ken got more work done on the area surrounding the hot tub... trying to make it look nicer and be a "usable" space... Tracy wasn't feeling well - she came home from the picnic Saturday with vomiting and diarrhea... since no one else felt sick, I know it wasn't something she ate! I think she has let herself get "run down" again - and when she does, it manifests in some way-shape-form... In addition to that her allergies are kicking her A$$ big time! Can't wear her contacts right now... and ugh the sniffling - and congestion... UGH!!!! But of course - they needed someone to work last night - so she picked up a shift! I did tell her if she lived on Maple Street she'd have a 5 minute commute... instead of the 30 - 40 minutes! Coming home at 6:00 AM wouldn't be a bad ride to Maple Street! LOL ANY of the houses she has looked at IN Greenfield, would save a LOT of time - energy - gas - wear & tear on the car, etc.! I hope she hears from the credit union today!
Ahhhhh, Monday... Kaitlin should be back today... can't decide if I want her back to do the work - or stay away so I don't have to deal with her drama! LOL Got my ear buds charged and ready for the day! LOL Oh she does leave early this Friday for (another) beach weekend!
Speaking of beach weekends... doesn't look like mine is going to happen! I know Labor Day is a holiday - but MAN... assumed with schools starting earlier, and being the last weekend before school for some - that it wouldn't be so darned expensive to get a hotel for a night or two! WRONG!! Prices are still high until the FOLLOWING weekend! So disappointing! Might have to just do a day...
OK Let me refill my coffee and catch up ♥

Sue: Hope you enjoyed the movie - folks around here are "warning" people not to take the younger kids to see it! It's Disney... how "dark" was it?? Must be why I am not a movie person - when my kids were young if it was a Disney movie we knew little kids could see it!
I bet your boys will always be garden people... Grampa has taught them well!! I used to love to garden with my Grampa... but as I grew older I realized HE was the one that did all the work! LOL Now I have no interest in it at all!!
Picnic was a success... I am a little disappointed in the 50/50, we (only) raised $110.00 for our charity... seems lower than in the past... but hey, $110.00 is $110.00, so better than nothing!
Yup, only 54 here this morning... hate it... Oh I did spend about an hour in the tub yesterday - IN THE SUN... Ken had an ambulance call, and Tracy was going to take family photos for a friend... so I had Ken help open it up before he left - was very enjoyable.
He went in after dinner - while I was doing up the dishes.
OK Now to work on MONDAY MINDSET....
Goals for Today:
100 oz of water/liquid 5 F/V No sugar No flour Journal No eating after 7 PM!

Morning Carole and all to come...I'm dragging! Not sure why but when I got home last night I could not wind down....was still wide awake in the recliner at midnight! UGH! Could be a very long day for me! Will be busy, I know that much! I should be able to get my reports run finally and get started on the final spreadsheets I need to finish up!
The movie was GREAT! So glad we finally got to see it! On the way to dinner we dropped off the van to be inspected today....after work I will have to drive Jason back in to pick it up as I need to drive it tomorrow to work since Jason is taking my care to be inspected and oil change before our travel weekends coming up. WE have to have it inspected by the end of the month so the timing was perfect to get it done at the same time!
Time to pack my lunch and get this day started! Will catch up after work!

Good morning!
Today is the beginning of another serious warm up in our temps---I have enjoyed the cooler mornings (in the 60's) so will hunker down and deal with the heat (that we are supposed to have because it is summer Ran on the TM and getting ready to start the day. Had a nice dinner last night--barbequed ribs (DS19's favorite) and I grilled some chicken breast too. Fresh corn and asparagus...and I made a peach pie. I am hounding DS19 to start packing his clothes. We have the boxes and now he needs to pack them. He has the time...hoping that he kicks it into gear today. Only two more days with this monitor on (thank goodness).
Carole: Thanks for starting us. I see that you have your 100 oz of water on your daily goals--good job! Sounds like the picnic was a success! Sorry about the lower donation amount, but it sounds like it was nice for the employees. Lately, I feel like the same people get tapped to donate to different causes...sometimes I think that folks have to draw a "line in the sand" and only donate to a few....regardless, sounds like a fun evening! Hope that Tracy feels better and hears from the credit union soon. LOL, I hear you dropping those hints about having a place closer to work! It's true though! Yes, got all of the laundry done yesterday, cleaned house, grocery shopping...it was a great day to get things done. Hope that today is okay with Katelin there (sp). Between my Kate and your Katelin, I can never remember the spelling!
Sue: Glad that you enjoyed the movie! Hope that your sleep goes better tonight--I wonder if some caffeine found it's way into your eating/drinking later in the day? Love that the boys are working on song #2! We can see that "we knew them when..." when they become famous (and take care of their grandparents).
Hello to all who follow. Have a couple of longer days this week. My DM needs to get in for a colonoscopy pronto (she put it off for two years and now the doctor is thinking that she needs it to rule out things -- her digestive system has been acting up) so I will have to drop things to go get her/take her when it is scheduled. Hope that we find out this morning so that I can move things around (it is a REALLY busy week as most schools are coming back). Hope that you all have a good day!

WOW....it's a quiet day on the thread! Everyone must be busy, busy, busy.....I know my day was crazy but went by quickly! Just waiting now for Jason to get home from work so we can go get the van, then I can relax for the evening....really hope I fall asleep a LOT earlier than last night....It was a long day and I'm exhausted!
Carole...thanks for getting us started today....sounds like despite your busy weekend you got plenty of stuff prepped and ready for your week....at least with a few things "made" the packing won't be a big deal.... Sounds like you and Ken both made a little progress on getting parts of the yard "spruced up" and functional! I sure hope Tracy doesn't get herself so rundown she's back in the hospital again. Moving to a place "in town" will definitely save her a lot of everything....time, gas, wear & tear....that all adds up! That's why when we bought this house we had a 20 minute commute radius from work....neither of us wanted to have a long drive to work, stores, etc....we are both 12-15 minutes from everything depending on traffic!
LOL Carole....glad your earbuds are charged and ready to block Kaitlin and all her drama out! Bummer the hotels are still so high priced....most beach places go down after Labor Day.....I know when my DM lived on the Cape everything was cheaper after the holiday....they gouge the "terrorists" as the locals called them but then when the tourist season is over they are nice to the locals and put prices back to normal....not sure how they can get away with doing that but they do!
I know Kellen & Jackson LOVED Lion King...yes, some of the scenes, as they were in the original animated version, are scary and intense but too bad. Have to laugh, when you think about pretty much every Disney movie, someone dies or is sent away or some other danger.....I've cried in pretty much every Disney Classic! LOL! Really think back to a lot of the Disney Classis....Snow White, she "dies" from a poison apple...Sleeping Beauty, she is put in a "forever sleep" by a spinning wheel.....Bambi, his mother dies....Fox & the Hound, they have to send the fox away.....Cinderella, her father dies and she becomes the "maid" and is mistreated....Disney movies always had some sort of sad feature....some my girls watch once or twice and then never again because they made them too sad!
WOW Carole...$110 seems kind of low for a charity 50/50....yes, every little bit helps but I too would have expected it to be higher than that! I was a shame that a lot of food went to waste that day...... Glad you got to enjoy some HT time....sounds perfect to me!
Gabrielle....we have the HHH weather coming back too...not as HOT as it was a couple weeks ago but it is much more humid today than it was over the weekend...with the humidity comes the threat of thunderstorms. Hope Max made some progress with packing today! Glad you are in the home stretch with the monitor....do you have any idea what the readings are since putting it on or will that all show after it is removed?? No, I can't think of anything that might have contained caffeine in it yesterday....honestly, I've had 3 cups of coffee in the evening and gone to bed and slept like a baby....caffeine, so far does not seem to have any baring on my sleep. Who knows! LOL, not sure the boys will ever be "famous" but it was so cute to see them all doing their part! Love when all 3 have moments like that.....
Want to grab some dinner quick, hoping Jason doesn't show up as soon as I have it warmed up!
Waves Christine, Shelly, Jenny, Lisa and anyone else who might be lurking! Have a great evening....see you in the morning!

Hi all. Oh the weather has been so hot here. It’s been 100+ now the last couple days and with the humidity it’s been unbearable. DS Tyler came home Saturday to pick up an old pick up of ours and went home Sunday. It was so short but was glad to have him here even if just for one evening. He even brought little Chesney with him and that was great!!! She has just really buddies up to me this time and when we was there in June!!!! She was telling me I was her best friend lol. I loved it. She is just so precious and such a good little girl!!! Except when daddy made her give me my phone back lol. She was playing a ballon pop game and I wasn’t even thinking they don’t like her to use electronics and she was NOT happy with daddy Opps my fault!!!
Yesterday the DGK wanted me to go watch Lion King with them. Glad I did. After I got home I actually took a nap though. Stuff fighting fatigue
Carole today for breakfast I had HB eggs from the pressure cooker Lunch Egg salad with crackers Snack Gummies 😬😬😬😬 opps there’s that sugar I can’t resist!!! Supper was going to be left over soup but DH fed it to the dogs. Guess it got left out
Oh we did get some relief in the weather today!!! It cooled off and finally rained. You remember all that rain we had a couple months ago....well when it stopped it stopped and everything is burning up bad. If lightning strikes there could be a big fire real quick. Anyway not sure how much we have but finally got something
Sorry Tracey has been sick. I hope she is feeling better. There has actually be a lot of sickness going on here too. And my stomach even felt a little off this morning but got better. Hope she finds a house she just loves soon.
Sue hope work went well for you today. What movie did you go see. I heard Toy Story was kinda dark. Not sure I want to go see that one. I did like lion king though.
Gabrielle way to keep up your WO. It’s been so hot I’m already falling off of my walks. Tonight would’ve been perfect but it was lightning so didn’t want to chance. Finally rained but I think I would’ve had time to get my walk done before it started raining.
Well I’m going to attempt to be in bed by 10 and see if that helps with the exhaustion so will try to check in tomorrow. See you all later!!!
