This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good Morning...just getting us started...storms are supposed to come through today. Made it to my Balance & Stretch class....skipping tap today to go to a monthly "Stitch Therapy" group in the neighborhood - we learn new sewing, crocheting, knitting, and craft things and usually have a guest speaker. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi everyone,
Yesterday was a long, nerve-plucking day...I never made it here, and wouldn't have been able to put two thoughts together, probably! Today I am going to go to the Animal Control building and put in an appeal for Cyrus. The Humane Society says I'm good, and he is not required to be on a leash on my property anymore. The only infraction I owe a fine for, is for him being "at large". I am ok with paying the $25 but I want it known that he was not at large, or out alone and unsupervised. None of my dogs are ever out, without me being out there with them, and the lunatic claims that the dogs were out wandering. She has shown that she is out for blood, and I don't want to have any admission of guilt, such as the erroneous claim. She is extremely angry that Cyrus has not been taken away, or something, and my insurance agent said that she told him she had taken pictures here, and went on and on about her awful experience. He didn't really buy into it, and she said "don't you care?" and he told me he REALLY wanted to say no. She continues to walk past my house for her walks, and I swear, if she moved 2 inches to the right, she would be in my grass. I keep trying to get a video of her walking by, because she said she is "afraid of the dogs". The Humane Society guy told me that he was very impressed with the dogs' enclosure, and the size of it, etc, and said that I didn't have to worry about anything. I think she is going to try to sue for some amount, but there is definitely a limit to what she can get for a bruise the size of a quarter.
Susie, your neighborhood sounds so great! I did see that you might be getting some pretty severe weather today. I am hoping we get some rain, but I will be glad if it doesn't come with strong winds.
Janet, good luck today with the kids. I hope the other teacher can remember what she did with the books! That's aggravating... Lora, the roast sounds good. And it gets better the second time you eat it! Andi, sorry about the stress at work. I sure hope that guy is ok there. Well, I am going to get going. For some reason, I am really down in the dumps right now. I feel very weepy and sad, and I am fighting it. I have a couple of errands to get done today, and then I might come home and make a zucchini dish to have for the week. It is basically a quiche in a 9 x 13 pan. I hope everyone is having a good day! I will bbl, and I'm waving to everyone...

Hey everyone -
Sorry I didn't get here yesterday. RA training is in full swing. This is the week that I've arranged 12 catered meals for 120 people each time. It's been crazy.
So I still have a glimmer of hope job wise that I think your good vibes are helping with - keep sending me positive energy if you can.
Lora I saw your note about getting a paw print from the vet - that's such a sweet gesture but I can totally understand how that would bring up emotion for you and DH.
Waving to everyone else. Right now I'm happy to be watching catering set up everything for a nice lunch rather than us running around and doing it. They even brought - gasp - table cloths! Lol it's funny the things I find fancy when we're just making it work.
Happy Tuesday!

Robinmd - I am so sorry for all the turmoil you are going through - oh my - I can see why you are weepy and sad. At least it sounds like everyone you have contacted is supporting you. Yes, it looks like we could be having some severe weather today - so far just cloudy and threatening looking.
Amanda - keeping my fingers crossed for that glimmer of hope! Even though you are busy, busy, you sound upbeat - yeah for the catering rather than you running around even more.
DSon is supposed to stop by this afternoon, and then I have bridge this evening while DH is going out to dinner with the husbands of the ladies with whom I play bridge - win-win!

Geeze! It's been a long time since I didn't make it here until lunch time. Lol. I slept in a little this morning, which was welcome. The last few days I've been up between 3 & 4, so my 8am wake up felt great. Anyway, did a little work around the house and then headed into town to the court house to renew tags for Mark's SUV and my truck. I know....I just got the truck tag. Hahaha. Here they renew once a year based on the first letter of your last name. So every August we're up for renewal. So the one I just put on the truck was prorated and I'd only paid for a months worth. Anyway, we're good until August 2020 now. Yay! I also gassed my new monster up for the first time. I was dreading how much it would cost to fill that big girl up, but was pleasantly surprised at the $37 fill-up. Not far off from what we paid to fill the Beemer (because it required premium), so not overly horrible.
Susie - your neighborhood is so fun! I wish the similar kind of neighborhood that DMIL and DFIL moved into a couple of years ago did so many activities. She would love that kind of activity. All they really have that she participates in is water aerobics twice a week during pool season. She loves that, but I'd like for her to have something during the off season, but they don't really have that kind of activities. I didn't realize that you did those kinds of crafts, I'm not sure where you find the time. Lol
Amanda - Wow! It sounds like you're super busy this time of year. I hope all of your events come off without a hitch. Continuing to send positive mojo your way!
RobinMD - I'm so sorry the crazy neighbor lady saga continues. And yes, the roast is pretty darned good, every time. Haha.

Hi Everyone, Robin, sorry that you feel down today. Glad that like the others have said that you are getting support about the situation with Cyrus. My partner showed me where she put certain things. I didnt find one game that I made myself and I think she may have tossed it without realizing it was something I wanted. She said she could make it again. I did want to take a picture of it for the binder tho. Maybe I will just get a small piece of the foam and recreate for that for now. I dont have to deal with the kids the rest of the week or that is at least what our director told me. I am working on making my writing journals. Last year I made them enough for each child and then they threw all those other kids in my room and didnt get around to making more for almost a whole group when they were thrown in suddenly. I will probably make a few extras tho. Tommorow I have an enrollment interview with the parent of one of my returning children. She was supposed to come the last day of vacation but she said she didnt make it in time. I have one new parent enrollment scheduled for next week. I am sure I will get more as I didnt have a lot of returning children. We are supposed to be getting storms and I hope that I will get home before they get severe. Have a productive rest of today!

Janet - I also hope you get home before the weather gets bad. Be safe! Sorry about the missing game We also have a possibility of thunderstorms here this afternoon/evening. But until then it's super hot and humid and we have another extreme heat warning for today, with the heat index hitting 106 - 111. Yuck! That's why I wanted to get my errands completed as early as possible this morning.

Cripes! Just walked out to get the mail - it is flipping miserable outside. Hot and humid misery. My weather app says it's 93 degrees, but with the humidity it feels like 111. I'm so glad I got my business handled this morning! Geeze!

Hi again,
Well, I got my appeal set for Sept.19th. The people there were really nice. They told me that they will send her a letter about it, and if she doesn't show up, it gets thrown out. There's nothing much for her to say anyway. It is just a fact that my dogs have NEVER been allowed to roam and are always accompanied when outside. It will be one less thing for her to accuse me of. Janet, I'm glad your books were found. Too bad that she threw out something that didn't belong to her, though. Lora, the price of gas will be going down a little more, as summer winds down. I was wondering how you were liking the truck! Susie, that IS a win! Enjoy your bridge game....my parents used to play bridge fairly often, with friends. Amanda, I hope the catered lunch was good! I am crossing all my digits for you... I am going to really get serious about sending out more applications, myself. I am beginning to not even care if its in the medical field, as long as I can make a little more money. Good luck! I am going to see what I can make for dinner. I never did make the casserole, but I might make an omelet. I have fresh eggs from a friend who has a LOT of chickens. I made a bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado sandwich on sprouted wheat bread for lunch, and it was really good. I am sure enjoying the tomatoes that people have been giving me. You just can't beat that flavor. Well, I am going to get things ready for work, and figure out what is for lunch tomorrow, too. I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am still struggling, but it will be ok. Thanks for your kind words and thoughts. I am waving to all I missed.... have a good HUMP DAY tomorrow! RobinMD

Got home thankfully without heavy showers and storms. I had a chance to get over to the dollar store and also get a bit of cash. I was just too tired to make an extra stop last night after making a stop at Target but only wanted to take out the smallest amount I could to tide me over to Friday when I get paid. This new partner wants to hang downstairs for long periods of time with the other teachers she is friendly with so I dont see what kind of relationship we will have as far as being partners. We shall see but at least she is helping me out with certain things. Hopefully once we are together on a daily basis she wont be able to go running downstairs but I bet if we are in the yard at the same time I bet they will be gabbing with each other instead of watching the kids. Have a good remainder of the night.

Good evening. Really difficult day for me today so this won't be long. I'll catch up on personals tomorrow. I spent the whole day either in tears or on the verge of tears regarding my PR director. I went to visit him in the hospital and it was heartbreaking. RobinMD, he has an AVN I think it's called - a cluster of tangled veins in his brain that need to be removed - and it's in a precarious place, may need several surgeries or radiation, not sure. Jay (that's his name) was apparently more alert for part of the day and managed to eat and drink at some point but was asleep while we were there until it was time to leave. He did say a muffled goodbye but honestly I don't know if he knew who we were. I sent out an email to all staff today informing them of what's going on and lot of people expressed their sadness and concern. Just very emotional all the time. I also met with Jay's staff since for the foreseeable future I will be supervising them.
The other things on my mind are my descent into the food ditch yet again. A big phone call at 8 tomorrow morning about one of the merger issues. And then at 11 I have to referee a dispute between my HR director and the finance director. I'm just exhausted and overwhelmed and all the junk food isn't helping. I miss my BLE days but don't know if I have it in me to recapture that. Oh, and did i mention I travel to Colorado on Friday night? To help with child care, and I'm feeling so depleted...
Thanks so much for listening, as always. Sounds like a few of us have a full plate right now. RobinMD, glad everyone has been so supportive and sympathetic about Cyrus and your situation. What a troublemaker your neighbor is!!! Hope it all resolves satisfactorily. I know the stress of it all must be taking a toll on you.
Waving at everyone else. Will come back tomorrow, hopefully in a better frame of mind.
