Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
I was listening to the radio ... it’s Wonderful Weather Wednesday ... Perfect name for today. Nice, cool breeze kept me in bed a little longer than I planned.
I’m so glad that caffeine doesn’t affect my sleeping. I drink coffee and/or tea all day long. Sometimes get a cup of coffee on my way home from work. No trouble sleeping even after I drink late at night.
I think one of the reasons I’ll continue to work is to keep my mind stimulated. As much as changing programs we use aggravates me, I like that my coworkers look to me to find shortcuts and easier ways of doing things. I’ve put a few things on the computer that they were doing by hand. When I talked to my boss about going part time, she asked me if I had any plans on leaving the dealership. I told her that I would like to continue to work until I felt it was too much for me. She was glad to hear that. As much as I sometimes complain about office drama, I actually enjoy working there.
I have a load of laundry going that’s about if for today. See ya tomorrow

Good morning all. We are up and moving and dressed early today. DH took Maggie to the vet to get her nails trimmed. He made an 8:20 appt. I guess it was all they had available. And the painter is due here between 9-9:30 for the touch up work. It’s around baseboards, behind the 2 toilets, and around the door they moved. The carpenter was here yesterday about the baseboards and there is nothing there but wallboard to nail the baseboard into and it won’t hold. He asked who did the new wallboard and said he’s not happy with what they did. Not what you want to hear. And it was their company who did it! It’s not a big deal, just will be harder to clean. I hear the garage door going up so DH and Maggie are back. Let’s see if the garage door noise and them being home wakes up Mara. So far we’ve not turned on the tv and tried to be quiet so she’d get her sleep. I was up with her for about 10 min at midnight. She woke up crying so we rocked and cuddled and then I put her back down and didn’t hear from her again. Not sure if she had a bad dream or maybe just couldn’t find her pacifier.
I’m getting my hair cut this afternoon. Hopefully during nap time. I want to get some laundry done today so I can pack tomorrow. Won’t need a lot for the 4 days because we won’t be doing much at Carol’s. Maybe out to eat once and I know some of her kids are coming over to see us. Even her oldest DGD will be home from college and will be over. She is the one that I held and took care of during her parents wedding. She was about 9 mo old. Their family was all busy so Aunt Ruth, being the baby whisperer, took care of Kayla. The youngest of Carol’s DSs was about 13 or so and was supposed to carry Kayla down the aisle and stand up front with her during the ceremony. They placed me on an aisle in case anything went wrong and I could grab her. He didn’t even try to take her down the aisle, he stopped next to me, handed her off, and went on to the front of the church. And we put her car seat in our car and drove her to the reception and watched her when they weren’t showing her off. I got to do diaper changes, feed her, etc. We took her back to Carol’s where she was spending the night. Her other DGP’s were worried that I’d take her back to MN with us! Carol told them I loved babies, but she wasn’t sure I loved them that much!
The painter just arrived. He’s doing the painting touch up and he has to give the woodwork all a 2nd coat of varnish. I hadn’t even thought about that being done! Now if they can just get ahold of the floor people and figure out what they plan to do.
I need to make a list of things I want to accomplish when we get home from Carol’s. No nibbles on any of the things that are listed on line, so will change prices or just delete some of it and donate. And there’s more to list. And I did not get upstairs to start on that bedroom/craft room yesterday. Mara woke up!!! And I want to get the lower level family room cleared out so Stan and I can work on the flooring and turn it into a real family room. But I have to deal with a couple of full bookshelves, a box or two of CD’s, and the radio room (could be 5th bedroom) has to be cleaned up to move the treadmill into. It’s a never ending process.
Joy, it’s wonderful that they know your worth on the job and that you have the background to be a real asset to them. And it appears your boss understands that and values you. Every office has drama!!! And usually a “drama queen” who starts most of it. If we weren’t doing daycare, I’d probably be doing something part time somewhere. Possibly volunteering or even working at a daycare or something.
Dottie, hope you got some good sleep.
Ok, I need to get a few things done before Mara wakes up. Will check in later.

Joyce, caffeine started affecting me in my early 40s, but it has gotten worse the older I get. I’m sure the dealership will want you to work as long as you feel like it. I think most of us felt that way about our jobs at some point, little things would bother me but I did enjoy working.
Ruth, I’m sure you will enjoy your visit with Carol and her family. I got to see 1 new great niece and 2 new great nephews, the one only a month old the day we were visiting. Hope the sheetrock doesn’t give you any additional problems thru the years. Sorry to hear that there haven’t been any calls about the clothes you listed. Sounds like you have some big plans for later this year.
Bill enjoys doing the job – he likes it when someone calls to ask him questions, he is just really frustrated with the computer problems. He has worked each year since he retired and this is the only year he has had the computer problems and that is because of the change in operating systems. The pay is nice but not great but it makes him feel good to still keep up with his friends. He had his annual cardiologist visit this morning, good report except they want him to lose weight. I try to help with portion control but it is a never ending battle. We picked up my SUV before lunch. It looks great, can’t even tell where it was sideswiped. They also did a very good job cleaning and washing it, looks like a new car. I went out to get my haircut also this afternoon, seems like a good cut, hope so.
