This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Sorry for the late start. I got busy with some things this morning, so I'm just now getting a chance to pop in.
How about being halfway through August already? Wow! This summer is truly flying by.

Hi Everyone,
I am with my darling angels this afternoon. Just one more day until the weekend. I hopefully wont have another day I have to work with them but she hasnt put out the schedule yet. I know some staff are out tommorow.
I am getting my haircut on Saturday and while I am up that way I want to get some things at the Shoprite nearby and maybe Target. I want to get to the library but that is in a completely opposite direction. I guess maybe when I come home and have a break and if the weather isnt too hot because I need a new book to read. Sunday I am going to back to the pool I went to two weekends ago but it is a club activity this time so unless it will be raining I will need to get to the library on Saturday. Other than that nothing really new. Have a great rest of the day.

Well, looks like a pretty slow day around here.
Janet - I hope you ended up having a decent day with the kiddos.
It's pretty much been a quiet day around here. I did some household chores and got my new laptop set up. It's nice not having to reboot 20 times a day because of freeze ups.
I'm sure everybody is looking forward to getting past Friday and onto the weekend.

Today wasn't too bad. I'm not as burned out as usual, anyway!
Janet, I'm glad you weren't in the vicinity of the police activity.
Lora, sometimes a quiet day is not a bad thing! You are so right...summer is flying by. I am not looking forward to winter, so hopefully I will get some time to enjoy the fall. I do love that time of year.
I don't have much to say. I haven't been sleeping good again, with the leg pain. When I do fall asleep, it seems fitful and weird. I sometimes am not sure if I'm dreaming, sleeping, or what....then, I wake in the morning with stomach issues. What the heck... I hope everyone has a good Friday, and some good plans for the weekend. I am working again Saturday from 8a to 8p, then next weekend I have off. I will be back tomorrow, and I am waving to all,

Waving to everyone....got to the clubhouse gym for a quick 35 minutes today... things have not fallen together this week for me to get to my gym classes...not tomorrow either since I have to take DGS to a sports camp at the time I would have to be at my class. Picked him up this evening too since DSon wanted to take DDIL out for a birthday dinner. Glad they got back early because I am heading to bed soon...DH is already there - boy are we old ---ha ha. Last night I opened the bedroom window so I could listen to the rain.
Today I had a Dr appt and it was slamming down so hard I truly could barely see. Fortunately, by the time I got to the Drs. office, it had almost stopped.
Lora - glad you are enjoying the new laptop!
Janet - had to laugh at your good day with the "angels"
Robinmd - sorry about the sleep issues...my DSister is having a ton of sleep problems too and even some migraines (which she has never been prone to). Maybe these are all issues with getting older ...or definitely more stress
