Becky, WW is now charging LT a missed meeting fee? That stinks! DMIL was able to go free. You're doing fine on your own and you have numerous other options for tracking. I would probably tell them the same thing you did.
Enjoy your well earned margarita, Kathy. How long will it take for you to get the check? I think it was 2 or 3 weeks before I got a check the last time I had jury duty. Too funny about the tardis frame with the pizza sign. That must be quite a Publix to even have a small Chinese restaurant in it. Too bad you got into wind and rain on yesterday's grocery trip. You have time to figure out some surprises for DM's big event.
Linda, do the Cardinals play indoors? I can't imagine playing football in an outdoor arena with temps over 100 degrees, especially since it's hotter on the field than the ambiant temperature. How's Micki doing? Are you managing to keep him from jumping on and off the furniture? Thanks for the recipes. They sound good.
Hope your first telecommute day is going well, Liz. Is Zoe staying close?
Chele, is Iggy off this afternoon? Any plans for the weekend? How are the allergies doing today? Our weeds are still in the moderate category, so I hope Arya doesn't drag me outside too often.
Dale left for his gun show a little after 5, so he should just about be to Lexington by now. I'm going to work out in a little while, pup willing. Garden is already watered and I finally have jalapenos and there are blossoms on the cherry tomato plant. The garden is finally starting to produce. Took long enough. Not sure what I'll get into today. I need to vacuum but nothing else on the agenda. Happy Friday, All!

Karen, thanks for the start. Hope Dale has a good time. No, Iggy will not get a half day, since he took off for a doctor’s appointment yesterday afternoon. More on that later. Congratulations on the garden starting to produce. The cherry tomato plants are almost done. We are going to get some larger tomatoes but not a bunch. How are the knees and shoulder feeling? Liz, good news on the telecommute. I hope the day goes well. Kathy, I hope you didn’t have to pay for parking for jury duty. That would take 15.00 or more. August band camp sounds terrible. Heat and allergies. Yuk. Linda, how are the allergies today? Has Micki had any success on his walks? Becky, I am not surprised by WW actions but it is disappointing. As Karen said you have other tools to use and you have done great with them. How is the energy level today? I am sure the extreme heat is a factor. Iggy asked me for the GI doc’s number yesterday. He called the office and, apparently, he no longer works for that practice. The number the office gave him was bogus, so he texted me and I had to track it down online for him. What was wrong with his fingers I don’t know. He actually got an appointment yesterday afternoon by some miracle. There are some tests that the doc wants to do and first up is, yep, colonoscopy. He doesn’t have an appointment yet. Fun times ahead for Iggy. He was also told to use lactose free milk. He didn’t mention that. I saw it on the paperwork.

Karen, they have a new system for the jury duty pay where it goes onto a debit card. They gave us the cards when we signed in and they're supposed to be active after today. We can use them online, so I'll probably just apply it to my next purchase. The Publix Chinese restaurant has several entrees available each day and they have some tables if people want to eat there. I think most people use it for take out, but I do see some people eating there. You just order and get your meal and then pay for it when you check out. Most of them have some kinds of takeout meals at the deli, but this is the only Publix where I've seen the Chinese food. It's quite good, but the choices are limited and it's definitely not low calorie. My dad used to enjoy going to the gun shows around here. Hope Dale enjoys the show. It'll be nice to have fresh veggies from your garden.
Chele, they have a parking garage next to the courthouse and they validate the parking for jurors. You're right that it would be a $15/day charge. Our band director was from FSU and we copied their style with the real fast marching onto the field. I can remember days of doing that up and down the field and it wasn't unusual for people to pass out. Good times, lol! I did enjoy playing a lot and the football games were fun, but it was a lot of work. I'm chuckling about Iggy's fingers not working, but that's good that he got the appointment so soon. Hope he can find some solutions and good that he has you to read the doctor's orders!
Becky, that's infuriating about WW wanting to charge you. It seems to me they should exempt people with an active online subscription from that rule, but they've always kind of ignored online members in some ways.
Waving to Linda and Liz.

I hope Iggy will get some answers, Chele. Will the hospital call him to make the colonoscopy appointment? LOL on your having to play online detective to find the right doctor's number. Did you call the PCP's office to give them the right number? Will Iggy have to give up yogurt and cheese or just milk. LOL on his not mentioning the lactose.
Kathy, I just noticed your Conch Republic quote. That's awesome! The debit card is probably more cost effective. Also good that you got your parking validated or it may have been more than $15 a day. We might have had 1 or 2 pass out in band camp, but it wasn't a frequent thing. I think it really helped the incoming sophomores to better transition into the HS because they knew all of us before the first day of school. It's probably not just the calories on the Publix Chinese food, but also the sodium. All the Publix around here just have the standar prepared foods and bakery areas. I need to check out what they have in prepared foods. I do that whenever I go to Earth Fare but forget to see what Publix has.

Kathy, I am chuckling at your tagline. Long live the Conch Republic. Debit card! I am not sure our city is that advanced. I figured parking would be expensive. Good thing it was validated. I have seen those fast marches. I am not sure I could have done it even in my late teens/early twenties.

Karen, yes, someone should be calling him about his appointments. He also has to have an endoscopy, so I suppose they will do that all at once. I don’t know about the yogurt or cheese. Iggy left the papers lying around and I read them this morning. He told me nothing except he needed “some tests.”

Thanks for the start Karen.Maybe your If your DMIL made LT while going to meetings and didn't miss a monthly WI then yes she could go for free.Supposedly this WI rule came in around 2011.I did it without their help and I sure don't need them now. They have partnered with an app for kids now that has everyone stirred up now.Mindy can get them paying as early as age 13 now and then make them pay all their lives I guess.Hope Dale has a good time.
Thanks Chele. My body battery is down to 12 which is up from 8 earlier.I'm trying to take it easier this afternoon.I have been worn out the last 2 days and yes it's mostly heat and stress doesn't help either.Funny how Iggy didn't mention the lactose free milk.I have used it before and I liked it.I hope he gets help from the gastro.
Kathy It's been a long time since I have been summoned for jury duty.I had no idea they gave you a debit card now. They ignore all LT members whether they WI every month or are online only.I won't be with them long now.
Liz I hope your telecommuting is going well.

I got tired of endless WW changes a long time ago...this sounds obnoxious. I know what I need to do and eat, just hard to do it!
Micki is getting a little longer slow morning walk with success and is very disappointed it isn't longer. He actually did his thing in the yard after supper saving me the walk in 106 shade. I have presentation board taped together like hinges that we put around the Christmas tree if we go out. That is in front of the living room sofa. A bunch of pillows are on the family room sofa in the way. He only jumps on a bed using a footstool to get halfway and we moved it. He is disgusted not to lie on one of those gazing out the windows. He can see out the front window and is there now guarding us from danger and the evil UPS truck.
Made it four days between antihistamine doses for itch thing and still not too bad, but wanted to get to skeep and tried half dose...worked. I slept from 10:30 to 9:45 AM with bleary trips to bathroom off and on. If i take it at night too late, I am not terribly functional until after noon. Looks like soon I may finally be rid of this itch with hives if scratched I have had for 13 weeks after the Macrobid antibiotic. Matches what some others have posted online. fingers crossed.
So I found things to do before I drive! .....changed bedding, did laundry, used leftover chicken to make enchiladas for supper, cleaned out the leftovers and produce in fridge, cleaned up the kitchen and watered all the pots in the backyard...111 today. Nice to finally sleep after days of waking too early.
So now I am heading to Sprouts for my Nordic Ultimate Omega three with dha!

Wonder how Liz's first telecommuting day went?
At least she did not get in the crazy panic in the subways from harmless rice cookers left on platforms to look like pressure cooker bombs...what is wrong with some people?
