WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

19 APs No tracked foods
I did my 7 mile run on the trail yesterday. Iβm going back this morning; itβs so much more gentle on my feet. I ate very little during the day, but made up for it last night. Ridiculous really. Back at it today.
I spent the afternoon shopping with Alex. It really astounds me just how much heβs grown up. He starts his senior year a week from tomorrow.
Nancy, great stats yesterday for your first day back on track.
Lori, do you go home today? Your own bed will feel especially good.
Louise, congrats on lifetime!
Kathy, how was your weekend at the lake? When do your boys go back to school?

Jan - Seems no matter how controlled we're becoming, there will be those times when all bets are off. Fortunately we can reverse the damage a lot quicker and better than in the past.

Louise - I'm not sure how well I'll do today. I will be at the mall but it's really hot and humid here so I probably won't get in any additional walks unless I make it to the gym. That will take discipline <g>.

Nancy-I managed to leave my pedometer off me when I changed to take Marisol out this morning. I didn't notice it until just after lunch. In any case there wouldn't have been too many steps. I brought her in as soon as she'd done all she needed to because I needed to get ready for church. Then DM was having some pain in her right hip so I decided not to leave her alone. She seems to be feeling better, I had given her some Tylenol so maybe that helped. The weather has been the pits this summer. It's 83 outside and in the high 70s in here. I hope your's clears up enough for you to be able to get in more walking.
Much too humid out there for a longer walk.

Today is our last day in Texas....sorry to be leaving but Jan, you are so right about looking forward to my own bed. Also, looking forward to healthy meals. Iβm just glad Iβm staying in control. Tonight, I may have a dessert depending on the selection.
Nancy, totally agree about times we go off track but healthy eating is now or normal! Hooray for that!!! Jan, glad your finding ways to do your activity that are gentler on your feet.... Louise, Hope your Mom is feeling better.....
I totally forgot to pack my Fitbit charger so it died today and Iβm missing it!! Iβll be charging it as soon as I get home.
Travel day tomorrow....then back to routine on Tuesday.

Lori - Too bad about the charger. The kids don't have fitbits? Before I go away, I always keep a running list of what I need to pack. The chargers are always on that list, but the ones for the ipad and iphone. I don't think I wrote down the fitbit charger but remembered to pack it anyway. As it turned out, I never charged it but didn't need to. I have a recipe from a long, long time ago for "yogurt fluff". Looking at the ingredients, it should be point free. If it's as good as I remember, I'll post the recipe. Safe travels!!

I spent 35 minutes walking 10 outside with Marisol, 10 outside by myself, and 15 inside. That got me up to 4511 steps.
