WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

26 points 1556 calories 33 APs
We had someone come yesterday to trip two trees, and we discovered that the one by the house was cracked in the middle. The limb that fell on our roof was from that tree. They ended up taking it down. It was a huge tree with tons of birds in it. It makes me sad, but it would have done serious damage to our house.
Driving to the trail before work for my run before work, so no personals. I wore the wrong sandals shopping on Saturday and my foot is paying the price :-(

Jan - That's so sad about the tree - also about your poor foot. But congrats on the 33 calories <g>

Yogurt Fluff - zero points, 30 calories per serving
¾ cup boiling water 1 package (4 serving size) sugar free Jello (strawberry, lemon and orange are great choices) ½ cup cold water Ice cubes 8 oz WW plain non-fat yogurt ½ tsp vanilla (optional)
Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
Add ice cubes to ½ cup cold water to make 1 cup total. Add to gelatin stirring for 2 minutes. Remove any remaining ice. Stir in yogurt and vanilla. I use an egg beater for about 15 seconds. Pour into 4 dessert dishes
Refrigerate one hour or until firm. Can top with whipped topping but not necessary
A great in-between meal snack – the consistency of lemon chiffon – yummy!

Nancy-I seriously messed up with recording of the step numbers. What I'm showing now is
Sat. 6875 Sun. 8959 Mon. I'm currently at 9216
Sunday's Stats: SP 20 AP 5 Steps 8959 WP 32 remaining Water 62 oz I am going to head to my bedroom now. I may spend about another 30 minutes or so reading my book group (which meets late afternoon on Wed.) selection of the month "Facisim: A Warning" by Madeleine Albright. I was pretty certain that I knew her name because she is a former Secretary of State. I was right.

Louise - I haven't read that book but heard her speaking about it. I'm sure you'll find it to be well written and frighteningly relevant. I did read her book "Madame Secretary" which I thoroughly enjoyed. You're doing much better than I on the steps. I do so much better when the weather cooperates. It's been terribly hot and humid here. Hopefully I can play catch up as the week progresses.
