Kathy, I seriously considered using Linux on the new laptop. But, with having to learn new software anyway, I didn't want to press my luck and just went with Windows 10. Is this a grocery day for you? Have you heard from DS? Are you getting rain? We had t-storms around yesterday evening but just got enough rain to be a good teaser. We need a good soaker but it doesn't look like it will happen any time soon.
How was the sauce, Chele? Was the ravioli homemade as well? How are your allergies doing? Our weeds are finally at back in the moderate level, but I did ok being outside for half an hour or so. Hope your Rootology arrives today and will do well for you.
Becky, I got 46 intensity minutes on my swim this morning, despite getting zero on Monday for a 30 yard shorter swim. How are your knees and allergies? Was yesterday truly your last triple digit day?
Is today your pre-op appointment today, Liz? How has the week been going? Does Zoe seem to notice not having a tail? Things have to be better for her now that she doesn't have to deal with the oozing, bandaging, and the rest of the wound control.
Linda, given where you live, can you get same day delivery if you order your new med from Amazon? How are you feeling today? Is tomorrow when Micki gets his stitches out?
Dale is out on the trails today, so I got my swim in early. I had to get the plants finished up to go to the fair tomorrow. I will stage them there and try to remember to take pictures if I have time before I have to be off to Osteo. I got 4 mini succulents at Aldi yesterday and transplanted them this morning. The tags just said "mini succulent" so I have to ID them on my own. I have figured out 2 and I think the other 2 are in the jade family, but not sure exactly what they are. I also took 7 cuttings off current plants and am trying my hand at transplanting them. There are 3 French Tarragons, 2 African Blue Basils, a Mexican Oregano, and an English Thyme. We'll see how they do. It was difficult to do everything because Arya is particularly needy today and she was not happy that I was out on the deck and not on the sofa with her (although she did come out on the deck and continued to whine out there). I also cut up and marinated tofu, made 2 batches of tofu scramble for breakfasts, and cut up a pineapple. Fortunately, that was all indoors so she wasn't as irritating as long as I wasn't outside. I think I now have everything done that requires me to be somewhere other than the sofa. So, I should have a happy puppy for the rest of the day.

Happy National Senior Citizens Day.
Karen, thanks for the start. Dinner was good. The sauce turned out well. Not homemade ravioli. I am not that good at pasta making. The yogurt in the pancake recipe doesn’t go in the pancake it is to put on top along with the sliced cucumber a d additional dill. I just made a cucumber and dill salad instead. Did you get the minutes done last night and work on the newsletter? Poor Arya. How could you abandon her like that? There should be no panes of glass between you. Just kidding. Her extreme separation anxiety must be hard on all of you.
Becky, it is great that all the exercise you do and how healthy you eat is keeping you off the diabetes meds. Our doctor sent Iggy to a nutritionist for his pre-diabetes. Right now he is on the elimination diet. He added mayonnaise back in a d oh, boy, Mount Vesuvius erupted, so mayo is out, but regular milk hasn’t affected him. The GI doc said to get OTC FDGard with caraway oil and peppermint for bloating and gas. I finally found it but Iggy won’t try until he gets back from Columbus. The other GI doc told him to try IBGard which also has peppermint and it did not work well at all. We are not sire if it was the peppermint or just not being the right stuff to take.
Linda, I hope the nausea has subsided. Reddiwhip and fruit is my friend when the sweet craving hits. I hope you like the pancakes. They definitely need some sort of topping even if it isn’t the cucumber and yogurt. If we went on Daylight Savings the year round, in the winter we wouldn’t have light until 9 am. We need Standard year round.
Kathy, it was so easy with my DM, Medicare and her supplemental insurance.she must have been lucky. No one around her starts hammering, mowing etc until at least 8 am.
Liz, how is the week going?
Iggy should be home tonight but he is not sure what time. He made a pork tenderloin this weekend and there is a lot left, so I found a recipe online to use the leftovers. I am just going to have a salad. I have some leftover spinach that needs to be used. I did my workout and a load of laundry. We got some rain yesterday so I don’t have to water. Yay! It is overcast today a d we may get some rain later tonight. I hope Iggy is home before it hits.

Thanks for the start Karen.Sometimes the Garmin doesn't make any sense. It gave me 45 min for my usual bike workout plus a few min walking and shopping in HEB.No yesterday was not our last triple digit day.We got up to 100 and more than likely we will be in the low 100's for another week.It has been 100 plus for 17 days in a row.Do you think Arya will ever be less dependent on having one of you around? She is your little velcro dog.
Thanks Chele.I am so glad to be off diabetes pills. Is the elimination diet for his stomach issues? With IBS there is a low FODMAP diet where you can slowly add foods back in.I'm sorry mayo is affecting Iggy but glad dairy isn't.I haven't heard about FDGard but I figured IBGard wouldn't work that well either.
Linda I too hope your meds kick in soon.I'm sorry you are miserable today.I don't know how you can stand that extreme heat.I know you don't have a choice but it sounds miserable.
