Hello!
Today we are still in the freezer, but it will warm up later. Kids are at school, our cleaning lady is here, and beans are cooking away in my crock pot. They are starting to smell good. I'll make cornbread later. The family is eating here again, and DGD3 will go home with DD and family for the night.
DS and DDIL got to Kansas City safely yesterday, and we will see how things go today. I have no idea what time his appointment is. Thank you for your prayers.
I really don't feel well, so I plan to rest a lot.
Have a wonderful day, everyone. Diane

Betty J, I hear you. Too cold for me also. The trip to town and back was OK though. Sunshine made it nice.
Doris, I am glad all three girls were able to go to school today.
Molly, thanks for praying for Trace in the night. I am hoping this new med is the answer for his pain. I taught with a teacher who said eat over the waste basket and calories would fall out.
Connie, I have not made the final decision, but I expect that I will come home from Son't Monday, rest a day then go spend the rest of the week with Trace and brother and sis.
Phyl, it would not hurt to ask them to hold the yokie. I do not understand the new med. It could be for the infection and that is why he is getting relief from pain. I read up on it and still don't understand.
Linda, I told the gifts that I would take care of them today. The rest of the Christmas cards are calling.
Dianne, you make me want to put on a pot of beans. I just might have to do that.

good grief, I had to log in again. girls the yorkie thing is just wishful thinking. don does not want anymore pets. we love taking care of Sylvie and will help jeana out. in away it is nice not to have to take a dog out in the cold, clean out litter boxes. we don't miss the vet bills. I need to get to work In the family room. jeana says they are coming here for Christmas. when you wear hearing aids some times someone says something and it all sounds different than what they said. so I have no idea why don thought jeana said they might have Christmas. Phyl, I'm kinda in your shoes too. We haven't really decided when we are going to have Christmas with DD and her family -- and we're all right here in the same area together! She did tell me that she got her in-laws to have theirs on the 26th which leaves us with the 24th or 25th. Fortunately, I have a cleaning lady coming on the 23rd.
Evidently, we will have the twin grands on Thursday and Friday this week. They have really been aswarm in grandparents since Friday's ice storm. I don't think there is going to be a rescheduling of The Nutcracker. DD tells me that the sugarplum fairy is really disappointed.
A QVC order arrived today by UPS. Now I just need an order from LLBean and I'll be in good shape. DH has gone to the Postal Service to mail the box to DS. He waited for a long time for our mailman, but the mm said he couldn't take it. I think the issue is the customs form. Since this is the first package we have mailed, this will be our learning experience.
BBL!
PS: Yes, Linda I have plenty of Buckeyes, some fudge, some peanut brittle, and some cinnamon pecans. I'll leave for the airport right now . . . you may have to wait a few minutes for me though!

NAH, just a guy reading a book with a glass of wine for the Reading thread today. I thought he was looking really cool!! I really don't post anyone I know in the avatar. Have never been comfortable with that. I won't throw anything, he is quite a nice looking guy. My "friend" is not much of a friend, he gets busy and then I never hear anything for long time so figure he isn't even a good friend. I am so over it but we did have a lunch but he just made a lot of excuses. Have a full life without a guy, and have found they are more bother than they are worth. don't think he likes that I am independent!! I learned how to be that way the hard way. Not giving it up. Is that more than you wanted to know??
I have wrapped some presents and have a couple more to go, plus 2 really big ones. My DGD Doesn't like just a big bow so yep I am wrapping the gift that we all went together on. My back and shoulders are crying tonight so I am done. do have a movie to watch and may watch the baking show. Headache is so much better. no one was giving out boxes this year. Thank goodness I was saving all kinds all year. amazon, you have been a life saver!!!.
Thinking about making the corn bread with the cream corn in it. notice I just said thinking.!! Need to make a grocery list first.

No, Connie. That is a good answer. Now I'm thinking of cornbread again. Don't think I've ever had one with cream corn in it.
Cute dogs, Lucy. Continued prayers for Trace.
Debbie told me they are trying to help Kathie and they haven't figured it out yet.
Sleep well folks.

I hear ya, Connie. I like my independence. 18 years will make one independent.
Y'all I put on a pot of beans to cook all night. Don't talk me into cornbread. I have never put corn in mine, though I have eaten it.
Got my gifts that go with me this week done and the cards made out. Thinking on if I should mail the money to the other greats that I won't see until the 31st or just wait till then.
Brother in law finally got to the specialty hospital that I was in. I will go see him tomorrow.
Goodnight. Time to read.

Yes, Cat, I already asked Debbie but can't find any way to fix it so far. Jim was able to get on the commode on top of the toilet today in my small bathroom. But, it is very hard for him and even harder to get pants down, etc. My back is ready to explode.
Tucking you all in now and wishing you all sweet dreams....It was 29 here in Southern CA last night so the water was frozen and I had to put off my shower....
Hoping for blessings Kathie

Good evening Jolly Ladies, I just haven't mad time to get on here during the day yet. I'm still trying to get things done around here and with Christmas so close. I just don't know if I'll be ready. I need To get the boys gifts wrapped up. Rob will have to help me With the air hockey table that's in a big box in my closest. I wanted to keep that one hid till Christmas eve. Jack will Know what it is if he sees the box wrapped. That's what he wanted the most from Grandpa and me. I have it hid in my big walk in closest and have it covered up. And I can't put the gifts from Santa under the tree till Christmas Eve when we open our gifts. I just can't really get in the mood for Christmas this year! So I can wrap the small gifts and Put them on the table by the tree. I also have to keep them up so Samson doesn't get them. He will chew them All up. Its a good thing I have the list for Santa and our gift list so I don't get them mixed up. I have to remember to mail Ariana's card with her Christmas money in it tomorrow. Ted and I aren't going to get each other anything this year because we just bought that expensive door for the breakfast room last month and the new tile for the two rooms. So I just need to get the boys gifts wrapped. We don't buy gifts for our kids anymore we just give them money. We started that when I couldn't walk with my back and hips. Ted doesn't like to go buy gifts and He doesn't feel like doing that kind of thing yet. He said he Still has to take it easy to keep from hurting. He drives Jack to school and then gets back into his chair. He was going to go to the store for us and I told him that would be to much walking for him still. It's just been a little over a week since he had surgery. And he has a 4 inch incision And he still gets out of his chair real slow. I remember when I had my stomach cut open and I didn't go shopping a week after surgery. Cat, I will be keep Moving Peggysue in January!!! I'll try to get back here tomorrow during the day.
