Greetings all. Today I ordered a desktop sized Day-Planner. I used to use these during my paralegal days and found them very helpful. Once you get the binder, as the years go by you can refill it with interesting pages. Not only am I sick and tired of getting reminders beeping up left and right on my PC at work, I plan to use it as a motivational tool while working through my Big Transition. More on that as it progresses. Daily Affirmation - my mission will be successful. Fitness Goal - a restorative yoga sequence with Rodney Yee. ♥ Muscles very sore and I needed a recovery/rest day. (And some Rodney love.) Health Goal - no carby snacks and work hard at Pilates tonight. Gratitude - everything in my life. Good morning to all who visit today.

Good Morning, Angels! Pat: thank you for being the start-up angel. Sounds like you found a wonderful yoga class. I keep thinking I should try another class at the gym. I really am just a beginner at yoga, so I think I'm a bit fearful of attending the wrong class. LOL.
Funny you mentioned calendars. By yesterday, I had just about convinced myself to go to a PAPER purse-size calendar. I've always said I was calendar-challenged. Currently, I appreciate that all my calendar entries "sync" but I find trying to enter anything on the small devices (phone, tablet, pad) to be impossible. On my desktop, I'm fine. It was when a doctor's office called yesterday to confirm next week's appt and I discovered I'd double-booked, that I knew I has an issue. What to do. In this case, I am lucky that I have time to reschedule my other appointment.
I woke up yesterday with a really sore throat so it was a rest day for me. I feel better today but am not pushing too hard. I am hopeful that, by tomorrow, I can return to dance class. I miss it! I didn't get there at all last week due to other commitments.

Suzanne what a wild coincidence that we are both going retro and resuming use of paper calendars! I hope your sore throat is fully healed by tomorrow. Sore throats are awful. I was already looking at page refills for next year and saw on the Day-Timer website that they have a Prevention magazine theme for fitness and health minded folks. Christmas list, item 1 added. They have a Garden Path theme, too.

All this talk about retro calendars!!!!! I would love to go back, but really, my google calendar is my best friend these days. I do still love writing things, so my exercise journal is filling that need. I'm loving all the pages that are filled up so far!
I used to love Prevention Magazine, too! Not sure why I ever stopped reading it.
I've been doing well with workouts but I've been really cheating like crazy with the carbs!!!!!!!!! Stress eating for sure. DH got an early call today, had to go bail out his sister who has an alchohol problem. She is on a bender again. He had to go back after work, not sure what he's doing with her.
I went to spend the afternoon with my grandniece, she is just soooooo precious! Soooo tiny and just a little doll. She slept in my arms for 3 hours while my niece and I chatted about motherhood. WHat a great day! for me, anyway!
