Trackin' Tuesday.... I actually tracked yesterday! I know... Whhaaattt? I tracked in MFP and in my journal! I had trouble tracking dinner... I guess I need to look up the recipe and see "just" what's in it... because in MFP there are so MANY options for Zucchini Lasagna! It had a "Mexican" flourish to it - added proteins and took out the fats! Anyway... what's tracked is tracked and I am moving on to TRACKIN' TUESDAY!
So Monday Mindset was just what I needed to get back on track!
100 oz water ✔️ 5 F/V ✔️ No sugar ✔️ No flour ✔️ Journal ✔️ No eating after 7 ✔️ (actually it was 6)
We hit the hot tub after dinner - and I was upstairs reading at 7:15! LOL Problem was... next book in series came out today... so I was up until 10 reading! BUT I think I slept well - maybe going to sleep too early is part of my not sleeping issue? Two nights in a row I feel like I slept pretty darned well! Overslept (again) this morning - well woke up after the alarm would have gone off - but still OK on time (for now)... let me pour coffee and see if I have time to catch up!

Sue: Guess it was the morning for oversleeping - and not being as organized as we wished yesterday! I am actually the same today - have to whip up a quick salad... won't be difficult - just time consuming! Thanks for the reminder - I need to find my Vitamin D... time to re-start taking that I guess...
Gabrielle: Oh I thought you left Sunday - well then, safe travels today my friend ♥ Only 1 1/2 hours - YAY You!!
You really need to move to NE if you LOVE Fall! We have it - for what seems to be - 2-3 months!
My insurance - PT is $45.00 each visit until I meet my deductible!
I guess time will tell - depending on how Crystal decides to shift the work load... but yes... I firmly believe K is the reason each time. With Ken - I "know" it... because when K got upset over something - she told me she "texted Josh & Amanda"... several times... next thing we knew he was being offered a different job!
Lisa: YAY for being taxi for Joe! LOL Sorry for the rain - is it a nice warm rain at least?? LOL NO Matt is our "Finance guy" who has an office at the bank... his accounts and our accounts are not linked in any way... he works for Infinex... BUT... just having him AT the bank has made me decide I want someone else... I just think I want my financial future being discussed with someone else. I will leave my investments with him - but will talk with someone else... my sister went to a nice guy - fairly local... I will have to see about an appointment with him! Thank you - I know I THINK I'd be happy to retire early... but.... who knows!
OH yes, travel agent sounds like a good job to learn! I am sure you could use/make reservations using someone else's corporate card... I use our CFOs all the time !LOL

Good Morning ~ slept ehhh last night. DH was in a mood and kept waking me to say I was snoring and keeping HIM awake - ugh - who thought sharing a bed was romantic...lol... I tried to read my Nook last night but realized I never plugged it in - it was dying slowly. So just got up, drank some water, plugged in my Nook and felt better reading for a bit - and yes, by this time DH was the one snoring! Yesterday went well - Inservice for Teachers at our school includes all the annual Have to Do's like review Child Abuse Reporting policy, HR issues, new changes, new procedures, and for us this year new Car Pool rules, Bus drop/pick up stations etc. The flow of the routine of school - DL shakes it up EVERY year! They had the Teachers go on a scavenger hunt too in order to get acclimated to the new building. That was cute. The Teachers have been trying to form a Union ever since the former CEO left and DL took over. So far it has protected them from DL but she has absolutely refused to negotiate a contract with them. Refused. So yesterday they finally took action and organized tighter as a group - they all wore their Union t-shirts for Inservice. Must have been quite awkward for DL when she addressed the large group (secretly smiling here)...My office will be moved again. Which is fine, as I see it I will be traveling over to the Academic wing most days anyways. The thing is, DL hasn't even had my new area built yet LOL Made Turkey Burgers and baked beans for dinner last night. Quick and easy. Tonight will be a chicken stir fry and I really need to go visit my DM - didn't make it over there in a bit and she is sending me emails hinting at this. LOL

Sue: Ahhh, gotta love the crazy days! LOL Kaitlin called out yesterday - so while it wasn't "Crazy" It was "Stressful"...few other things in my own work "popped up" so hers was mostly back-burner-ed! Crystal gets it - that's what matters!
Yeah NH is always No Tax... "Live Free or Die"... state slogan! IN MA we only pay tax on things we don't eat or wear... so it wasn't a huge tax savings, but every little bit helps I guess! Our (ONE) Tax FREE weekend was the 717th & 18th... I think... thought long and hard about a new fridge - but just couldn't do it!
Nice that Shea will have family discounts... I wouldn't want "stand by" even for Free! Yikes... I have had too many longer lay-overs than I care to deal with! Funny how we always think they FLY FREE, but never realized the "fine print"! Hopefully Sarah will be able to take advantage of Shea's perks. So once he is done with "training" - how often will he be gone? How long will each "trip" be??
Shelly: Yikes... OK City isn't too far from you is it?? In the grand scheme of things, if I remember correctly it's a few hours? No worries about missing a few days - had hoped you were getting some rest! Still no openings with the dentist?? Hope you slept well last night - about time to get up and at 'em GF... Stay safe with the weird weather patterns the country has been seeing this year!

Mornin' Christine... LOL... seriously... nothin' "romantic" about it most of the time! HA! OMG... KNEW it was too good to be true... that you had an office... sorry DL is being such a witch again! So where is there a small area she can "make" an office for you? UGH That is so darned frustrating!!! Oh dear - good luck visiting DM tonight {{{hugs}}} - chicken stir fry - sounds good... I pulled chicken, so thanks for the idea!
OK I need to get motivated here - short day at work today as I go for my annual appointment with the allergist - to be able to continue my injections! No biggie, just wish it was next week - I should pay more attention when making appointments NOT to make them on my shorter day-week!
♥hugs♥

MMS again this morning...not sure if it's the darker, cooler mornings or what?? I just can't drag myself out of bed. Same thing happened yesterday after FT....it was just after 7:30 and I fell asleep, SOUND asleep in the recliner....woke up about 9:15 and had Jason not said anything to me and starting a conversation I probably would have gone right to bed but he just kept talking. So he got me awake again. Went to bed later than usual but slept fairly well.
Need to pack my lunch and get this day started....not sure what I'm bringing...maybe a Tomato/Mozzarella sandwich....I have the fresh bread so might take advantage of that!
Will catch up after work! Nothing planned except to start bringing things to the "vacation staging area"!

Good morning! Taxi service again this morning for Joe. Hopefully his car will be fixed today. I came home and got the 2 big boxes of toilet paper for return to Sam's club loaded into the car. I will need to get a cart to take them into the store. I swear the things I do cleaning up after my kids. Otherwise these big boxes will be sitting in my garage till Christmas at least.
Carole-great job tracking yesterday and checking those things off! You must have your hands on a very good book - I get glued to a good book and I hate to put it down!
Sue-yes it is staying dark later in the morning and also getting dark earlier night. I know it's that time of year but I don't like it and it gets me all screwed up on what time it is. I often fall asleep on the couch while watching TV later at night. Good idea to start the vacation planning stuff area.
Christine-sounds like an interesting day with the teachers and potential union. THe Illinois governor just signed a bill to raise the minimum salary for teachers, which I completely agree with, but sadly it will leave some smaller districts forced to cut programs to pay the salary increases. I hope that they can get their union formed for more negotiating power. The turkey burgers sound like a great quick and easy dinner idea.
Shelly-hope that your jaw feels better soon. DD in Springfield, MO texted me that her car died in the parking lot at Menards but she really doesn't have any time off till Thursday. I haven't heard back from her as to what happened but her job always makes me think about you and the long hours you work.
Gabrielle-day 2 of meeting today, right? Hope it goes well.
Thinking about tonight's dinner...we have a bit of chicken and small red potatoes left from last night but maybe we can eat them for lunch.
I have time for a bike ride before going to Sam's club to return TP. BBL.

Got home....through in the last load of laundry before vacation....emptied the dishes out of my lunch box and washed them up....cooked some shrimp for supper tonight and Thursday (won't be home tomorrow night)....now I can sit and catch up a bit....Back to Monday!
Carole....fries I could pass on but good onion rings would be hard for me to say no to...I love good "real" onion rings....the kind where you have to be careful you don't pull the whole onion out in the first bit! How can you not like pumpkin?? That's almost un-American! Have to have pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving (mine are usually butternut squash though)! LOL! Yes Carole, they say they older we get the stretching is the most important....as I've mentioned, Jason is religious about doing the ones he got from the chiropractor for his shoulder and he says he hasn't felt this good in a long time.
Yes...got the blanket done and wrapped, plus the books for the kids. Actually just wrapped the Yankee Swap give tonight since I had to print the note at work...my printer was being stupid so I emailed it to myself and printed it there! All the gifts have made it to the "staging" spot!
LOL Carole....I have always said my last day of work would be 6/30/25....but it falls on a Monday....If I stay one more week I get holiday pay for the 4th. If I leave on the 30 and take vacation through the 4th I wouldn't get the holiday pay because I have to work the day before and after to get that so I may look at the calendar again and retire on July 7th! Then the vacation gets tacked on after that! Like you, might just as well take one more day of pay that I don't have to work. I would definitely stay for the profit sharing....2 weeks pay is big bucks! My 2 cents...I too would go to someone outside the bank to take a look at your finances....while I'm sure the guy at the bank has been a good source of info all these years, when it comes to retirement, an objective outsider will see the whole picture with no ties to the bank or any of the investments you have.
Carole...I get why you wanted to wait to see your PCP, something comforting about seeing someone who knows your whole history. Yes, she will probably suggest PT and the expense seem too high but it might be a good thing to get the consistency of going to them and get it to be a habit....remember that you will not only do them the days of PT but EVERY DAY!! Maybe a few weeks of PT will make it easier to get in the habit.

LOL Carole...I hate Yankee Swaps when they are "white elephant" gifts, I always get crap but I do like them the way I did it....everything in the box is great, something they will use and I almost kept 4 of them for myself and make it only 3 rounds! Other times I have chosen what blends, sauces, mixes for each family but I figured this time they can pick what they like....some might like the spicier rubs in the box....others might like the garlic ones...everyone has different "taste" so figure this way they can pick ones they prefer with a little friendly competition for the favorites! There are a couple duplicates, 2 or 3 of them so that could cut down on some "cut throat play"!
I love chicken or seafood tacos but for me Taco Salad has to be beef.....guess it a nostalgia thing for me. Had to laugh today...saw a post by Hannah of Rowan giving two thumbs up for his nachos....the caption cracked me up. Rowan said "mommy, you need to make 'fancy food' like this more often"! Guess when you are 5 "nachos" are fancy! I'll have to find the picture and share it....it's adorable! Something to be said for the simplicity!
Gabrielle...I thought you left on Sunday??? I'm confused! Glad the place is pretty and drive is not too long. Glad you found a place to meet Tyler and Kate for lunch....I'm sure it's nice to see them more often than when they were in Boston. I won't say I love fall but I don't mind it....we are lucky around here, usually get 2-3 months of nice crisp but not cold weather. I can live with "sweatshirt weather" but know it means winter is around the corner! You know Gabrielle, I would retire when Jason did but insurance it the thing that will make that impossible....a guy at work retired at 62 and pays almost $1500/month for insurance....I could not afford that! No part time job around here would give me that much income....I would have to work FT hours to cover that cost so why do it??? I only pay about $250/month now for both of us and that's medical, vision and dental.
Haven't talked to Hannah since the 1st day she got home...I'm assuming Shea is doing fine....he's a bright guy and will likely breeze through all the new stuff as he has all along his career. Who knows, you might get Shea as a pilot one day.....since he has no clue what airport will be his "home base" at this point you have just as much chance of him flying you somewhere as I do. If you fly SW regularly....you may just hear his voice one day!
OK Gabrielle...what is in Green Goddess...I've heard of it but never bought it or tried it??? No clue what's in it! What are you using it for? We have no Trader Joe's near us....only the cheaper Aldi which is his brother....
Lisa....glad you can help Joe out by taking him to work....yes, it gets you up and moving in the morning....sounds like it won't be a cheap car repair! We need to get new tires for the Corolla and we are not looking forward to that! LOL...have to laugh at the TP wedding gift. One of Shea's buddies from the AF Academy bought and BROUGHT a 6 foot ladder to the wedding....thankfully Jason was taking Hannah and the gifts to Oklahoma so it worked out! Hopefully you could return it and ship it to Missouri. Fingers crossed something comes for you for an extra job!
Shelly....glad you got a chance to pop in! Hope the bad weather went around you and hope that if the tornado hits ground no one is hurt and the damage is minimal. Bummer the tooth is still an issue....hope the oregano and thyme helped....I know oregano helps with so many "bugs" for me! Funny you mention the service at Pizza Hut...the last couple times we have gone to or ordered from them the service has been terrible. Since I'm not a huge fan of PH anymore, it's no loss for me so we likely will not go back!

Evening all. Think my jaw is feeling better every day. I just made my oregano pills and didn’t call the dentist. Somehow I ended up with some sort of infection for whatever reason but the oils seem to be clearing it up. Trying to not spend that money if I don’t have to. Got a loan to pay off credit cards (boss offered to help me out) with a much lower interest and will have that paid off in 3 years vs who knows how long.
Oh I still need to get ahold of my old trainer and see what he will do for me. I really want to train but not sure I can do personal private training. I think I am just more scared than anything to get started back in the gym.
Yes there were some severe storms in and around OK City and some places is still without power. Ugh that is so frustrating to be without power. Weather was much cooler today. Only in the 80’s. Oh I am so ready for cooler weather.
Sorry no personals again tonight but I promise to get back to it soon.
