Thinking Mistake #7: Unhelpful Rules
You mandate actions without taking circumstances into consideration.
"I can't waste food"
"I can't inconvenience my family by cooking healthier meals or getting the junk food out of the house."
Do you have any rules for yourself that may be holding you back?

I still struggle with the urge to clean my plate while ignoring feeling full especially if I'm at a restaurant.

I liked it better, in some ways, when we had chickens to eat the leftovers...made it easier to eat only what I really wanted to without the guilt of leftovers on the plate.
Unhelpful rules: * feeling I need to meet the ghg's/exchanges entirely even when not hungry...you know...balanced meals and all that. I know it is healthier but perhaps sometimes adds in extra calories?
* Not cooking/baking because it is not "healthy" and has too many calories...wonder sometimes if I cooked and baked as I feel like doing the weight would do better...probably not * Not wanting to hurt feelings of others...so...eating what I don't want
