I have been shorting myself one day of exercise credit due to faulty day counting. I actually lifted weights three times, not two. So I fixed my stats. I made an effort to step up my exercise thanks to this accountability thread. Thanks! I did Classical Stretch twice My body weight strength & flexibility exercises every day Lifted weights three times Still only one day of cardio

I really need to exercise. We took an overnight to New York City. The day we left doing the walking and rolling and carrying my suitcase from the hotel to the subway, through the subway, and then through Grand Central Terminal to the train really showed me how out of shape I am. My husband is in shape because of all the work he does in the yard and in the house so he was going along talking away. Plus I know if I do my chair yoga DVD my anxiety is better. Speaking of my anxieties the trip went fine none of my worries came true. lani, Glad the topic has helped you.

I did okay until Thursday evening...when I twisted my ankle doing nothing but making the bed...I know, pathetic reason, right?!? This week I went to the gym 4 times, did cardio on treadmill, but no weights. Went to Restorative Yoga twice.
bbbearsmom, like lani, I am liking having one day per week for exercise accountability...great idea, thank you!

surfgirl, my girlfriend threw her back out once while putting on pantyhose. You just twist the wrong way and it's all over. She was in her 30s at the time and in good shape. Mr. Lani was going to the chiro regularly after sweeping out the driveway. He finally got a trainer and is getting more bendy as cathygeha, would say.

Thanks lani, I feel less bad now! Years ago, I think it was 2000, I broke my ankle surfing in shallow water and was in a cast for 8 weeks, then a boot for 8 weeks. One day I was limping, still healing, towards a cross walk but the light was red. Waiting to cross was someone on crutches. I told them I'd just gotten over that situation and it would get better. She asked me what happened to me and I told her "I fell off my surfboard in shallow water", and she said, "oh!" Then I asked her and she looked sheepish and said, "Uhhh, I just stepped off a curb, it's not nearly as good a story as yours!"
