Simple Sunday... Awake way too early for a Sunday, but it is what it is. Fit bit says about 5 hours of sleep so I guess that's all I need.
Very disappointed that he Jacuzzi at the hotel is down for maintenance, but oh well, whatcha gonna do?
Tracy is a huge fan of "Live PD" so while in Warwick, RI, our first stop was Warwick PD... and a very nice visit with one of the officers that was on the show. Even though they don't film here, they are still on the Twitter feed that she is on.
Now to head down for coffee...even though the others are still asleep.
Then need to figure out which beach we want to hit...

Good Morning~ Slept in until 7:00 today - I know, WHO is that??! LOL I have work to do on my contract report so I want to tackle that - YES the student showed up at the Public Library last Friday so it was worth the trip there and back Friday night Carly and I did drive out to Ben's HS football game - it was fun - he lived about half hour outside of town in an area well known for Vineyards and Wineries - the concord grapes are not quite ready yet but when they ripen you can smell fresh grapes for miles! We'll definitely go back out there if not for a football game then the annual Wine Fest Poor Ben - his team lost in OT but it was fun to watch him in action on the sidelines with his clipboard lol Yesterday I had an early hair appointment followed by groceries at Aldi's - Carly and I both wanted to sit outside for lunch so we hit a local place that specializes in outdoor/patio bar - it was so relaxing. Families came with their dogs and everyone seemed to just enjoy this last weekend of summer - afterwards I was SO tired. I mean, bone deep exhausted! Which was so weird but I think the last few weeks just caught up to me so I crawled onto the couch - slept a bit but mostly just laid there resting. So no, the yard didn't get attention but I can try again another day.

Carole - hopefully you headed down and treated yourself to coffee while DH and DD sleep in - bummer about the hot tub not being available but today is Beach Day! Hooray~ DH watches Live PD all.the.time. I mean, ALL the time! LOL So, yes, we know where in RI you are! lol Hoping the skies are sunny for your day! I meant to ask, what 'EEE' scare are you referring for high schools? I fear I'm a little out of the loop there. Keeping an eye most hours on the Dorian storm - my DB Tom lives just north of Jacksonville, FL across the bay is Georgia - fingers crossed they are not direct hits - Sue - so wonderful to see you and Karen picked up where you left off in friendship and kinship! What a relief to share the same struggles with another close female Any day trips planned while you are there? Glad it's all going so well. ENJOY! Gabrielle - good to see you actually have a true 3-day Weekend!! Whoo Hoo!! How was your long run yesterday? How's it going adjusting around the house with Max starting classes and that quiet feel around the place? Lindsey thought about driving home this weekend but then, "duty calls" for Sorority events on campus - they are starting recruitment Tuesday and planned a special Video to make for it - I'm sure she is also enjoying being 21 yr old there too!! LOL I did not get outside to tackle the back yard yet - how far did you get with that project? Calling for RAIN and Thunderstorms starting this afternoon through Monday afternoon - we were thinking of a Cookout tomorrow but hmmm, might need to get creative as it promises to be cooler outside even when the sun comes out - not sure sitting outside on a wet deck is appealing - but it's about the camaraderie right? LOL

Good morning! So nice to feel a cool breeze while sitting here sipping my coffee. Today is a DOR and I earned it...the run yesterday went well, but I need a day off to recover completely. After all of that running, it's really important to keep moving (walking, etc) throughout the day and I did that so it helped. Heading into my WW meeting soon and to the grocery store--not nearly as much grocery shopping is needed without DS19 here (SOB!) but I have to admit that I kind of like that. By the time I got home yesterday from my run, it was 95 degrees and sun ablazing on the front planters--my plan is to get up early and work on them tomorrow morning.
Carole: I was wondering about the picture on FB and why you stopped at that police station in Warwick--now I get it! I have only seen the show a couple of times, but know people who watch it alot. How fun for Tracy to stop! Boo to the service on a jacuzzi--didn't that happy to you before at another hotel? I don't really pay attention, but I am wondering if it is a frequent occurrence at hotels? So nice that you have your beach day today and the sunset photo was lovely. I have never been to RI so I look forward to your pictures. Are you headed home tomorrow or later today? I hope that it is tomorrow...although, if it is anything like around here, it is CRAZY how much traffic there is this weekend. Hope that you have a wonderful, relaxing, simple Sunday!
Christine: I think that EEE might be the illness from mosquitos? We've had Zika warnings and West Nile is very prevalent here on the west coast, but I thought that I heard about EEE on the east coast? Or, maybe it has to do with electrical storms?? LOL, I guess that I don't know! Oh, the football game sounded so fun! Sounds like a fun place to visit the wineries too. I don't know of anywhere with concord grapes here --would love to have some one day (only have had the juice). Yay for getting that much needed rest yesterday! I feel like you usually force yourself to take care of your list of things to do...so glad that you honored your body's need for rest! Yes, it is quiet around here....and I am getting a lot of cleaning done (cabinets, etc) that I have been wanting to do for a long time. I talked to DS19 yesterday and he went to my cousin's son's shop (his name is Miles) and worked on his car (some problem with a shock). He said that Miles helped him and was really nice---and he joining the family for a BBQ on Monday! I am SO glad! He is applying for part time jobs too so I feel like he is finally settling in. LOL, I'll bet that being 21 makes a big difference at those get togethers! Glad that Linds is back into the school situation. Yes, three days! I have work-work to do tomorrow, but I am doing it in the comfort of my own home. I have a lot of travel coming up in October (leading up to my trip to DC) and a BIG PD launch on 9/12 that I need to get my head around. One of my key "helpers" on the PD has jury duty for three weeks...uggh! Oh well.

Sue: I loved reading about the relaxing family time you are having and the food sounds AMAZING! How fun to be around little kiddos....my nephew (and my brother) are flying up from San Diego to visit my mom next weekend. My nephew is almost 5 and I look forward to seeing him. You and Jason would be great company to have ---easy and "go with the flow".
Shelly: So, how did you feel a couple of days after your workout? That's when it hits me! I know that your trainer is gone for a few days, right? Hope that you are ready to go back next week Does your store run a lot of sales for Labor Day? There are a lot around here. Hope that you are having a good weekend!
Hello to Lisa, Jenny, and all who follow. When I was growing up, school always started the Tuesday after Labor Day. To this day I still have that feeling of "a new year" and the burning urge to buy office supplies. I just might stop by Office Max today just to smell them, LOL! Hope that you all have a nice, low-key, simple Sunday. I am going to cook "fried zucchini" in the air fryer today and find a couple of new recipes for the week. Will share the outcome

Good morning! It is raining and thundering here. No big plans for today anyway. Spent way too much time online already 🙂
Did get another section of the flowerbed weeded yesterday. The weeds just take over quickly.
Just talked to a friend who just turned 65 and her Medicare premiums take about half of her social security benefits! Right now Greg and I are on state insurance but at 65 Medicare becomes our primary. While we won't get social security because we paid into a pension fund, we will probably be stuck paying for both state insurance and Medicare. I hear about people talking about how much they pay for healthcare, now I understand. At least we should be well covered. I just didn't see that expense coming. I need to do some research!
Other than doing laundry, no big plans. The flashback movies for the next few weeks is the Lord of the rings series and not our cup of tea.
Waving and sending good vibes for a relaxing and healthy choices day!

Good morning
Audrey and I went school shopping yesterday and I was so exhausted I just ordered papa Murphy's pizza drank a little wine and went to sleep. We had a horrible storm on Thursday early morning around 3:00am just thunder and lightning for about 45 min to an hour, so it messed up both Kerry and my sleep, I was so tired on Thursday all day, so I'm catching up on my sleep this weekend. Probably going to stay home and just relax watch movies, I might go rent to DVD and just chill today. I'm making bacon wrapped chicken thighs for dinner along with potato salad and some baked beans.
Christine glad your side job worked out for you. Did you say you were moving into a new office again? Glad you and Karley had a good time at the FB game and got to watch Ben coach. How's you DM doing? Did she get a care giver to help out a little bit? Hope your cook out goes well tonight.
Gabrielle yes just rest after a long run. Is your weather hot down there? Ours is just perfect low 80's is awesome. When do you go back to school? Audrey goes back Tuesday and she's excite she gets to drive on her this year and she's an upper classmen this year. She's excited this year one of her electives is ASL, sign language and musical theater which does not surprise me at all. How's DS in Oregon? Does he like it here? Of course he's in Eugene and I love it down there it's really pretty.

Sue glad your having a fun time with friends and wine tasting sounds fun. Loved your painting the other day, getting ready for fall. The leaves are starting to change from green to yellow. Saw the nice picture of Shea getting his wings and flying for South, that is an exciting new change. Are they going to stay in NE or move back somewhere close?
Carole enjoy the beach today sorry to hear about the hot tub being down in the hotel. What a bummer. Is the weather nice in RI? Did you close the pool for the winter?
Hello to Shelly and Lisa and all who follow, time for some breakfast and start the day.
Enjoy this long weekend

Well ended up watching Illini volleyball vs Tennessee on TV. Went to 5 sets but Illinois won but a good match. I am thinking about what's for dinner. Many of the local places should be easy to get into with a lot of people out of town. Hmmm 🤔
Having a late afternoon cup of coffee.
