Good morning all. slept pretty well. Woke up a few times due to 'dreams' but was able to fall to sleep again. I swear it's the meds...or an over active imagination Cathy as usual, great goals for today. Keeping your DBIL in my thoughts and prayers. I bet all will be happy when it's all behind him. Susi so sorry again about your sleepless night. Could very well be that you are relaxing during the day and the sleep just won't come. Have you ever tried a Tylenol PM pill? I sometimes take those when I just can't sleep. I've never had a reaction to them with walking up groggy....... June it did feel wonderful being out in the great outdoors...even if it was just to Tractor Supply, Walmart and Hannafords and a very quick hood walk. Bee looking forward to chatting later. Your goals are golden in my book. MJ happy that the arnica gel is working for you. I should pick some up, as the bruising where I had the IV looks like I fought in a war! Happy you got to enjoy your Sunday steak dinner. We are having Donna over today, as I mentioned for lunch and to watch the movie. Her mom is going for part two of her testing for her valve replacement. She had one test last week with the dye and they have to wait a week so they can do part two with more dye tomorrow. I don't envy her the trip into Worcester for that...but you have to do what you have to do. Wishing AWF a wonderful day. Will pop in later.

June - I have seen them. One of the neighbors bought a nice size cat house that's a little deeper into the marsh facing away from the road. Some of them use it in inclement weather. Good mornng Bee. MJ - CB is always a good go to. Love their salad bar and the assortment of veggies on it. Glad the gel is helping you. LaDonna - Stay safe. They have no idea what Dorian will do. When even Jim Cantore can't provide guidance, it's a big unknown.

Watching the news this morning. My heart and prayers go out to the Bahamas. Mandatory evacuations for the coast will begin. Not sure yet what our schools will do but we usually shut down when the coast evacuates to provide shelters. Still a lot of uncertainty. Today should be an OP day. I cooked for the family yesterday so everyone is on their own today Audrey, Sunday I was in my shorts and a tshirt all day. I didn't even put my bra on until late afternoon. Not sure why I even bothered at that point. Today I may try and venture out a little. Need a few things from the store. Becky, HUGS. Ihope your are feeling better today. Ann, I want to see that movie, too! Yay for Carl doing the cooking today. Benadryl makes me dream wierd. Hope all will be well with Donna's mom. June, yes...I also am planning to stay in my lane. Cathy, love the timer idea. MJ, Audrey recommended the gel to me a while back and I have some. Its great. Susi, I bet your resort is busy today. Hopefully you will sleep better tonight. Bee, I made homemade mac and cheese yesterday in my crockpot. Its a family favorite but much too greasy for my tastes. I put very little butter but the cheese produces a lot of fat.

Audrey, beware of the heat. We have the same thing later in the year for certain ducks, and they start boom-booming early.
Becky, the heat we have been getting is enough to exhaust anyone. Just rest if you need to. Hope you get the groceries and it isn't too busy.
Ann, enjoy RocketMan!
June, your goal of staying in your lane gave me a good chuckle. I'm gonna have to try that.
Cathy, glad their attitudes are upbeat. To me that is 9/10ths of the battle. Your plan sounds like a good one!
Susi, hope you get a nap.
MJ, enjoy a quiet day. Glad the arnica gel works. What brand is it?

La Donna, it is good your schools can provide shelters for evacuees. I actually had to look up the purpose of dove hunting. Basically it is a social event mostly for large groups of men. When we first moved here one of the senior partners in the law firm brought us dove breast cleaned etc. We cooked it but that was 42 years ago and we have not had it since then. I love it when we have doves in our yard cooing to one another. Ann, I hope you like Rocket Man. I liked the way it was done. I spent 30 minutes doing yard work and got bitten by mosquitoes so I think our eradicators need to be replaced. I took a Benadryl and applied clear calamine lotion but need to stay inside.

Ann Our low this morning was 69 but that didn't last long. It's partly cloudy this afternoon so I'm not sure it will get to 100 or higher.I hope you enjoy the movie. With the heat we have been having certainly no problem hydrating.
June I had to LOL on staying in your lane.Maybe I'll try that tomorrow.
Cathy Great goals. It's great your sister and BIL have such a good attitude about the surgery.I did sleep better last night.Thank you.
Susi I'm still thinking about my knee options.I read an article that said an x-ray doesn't really tell you when it's time for a knee replacement. It's when it interferes with quality of life.I'm still able to do 45 min on the recumbent bike, walk in the house and stores so I will see when I think it's time but will look for a much better surgeon to go to next time.I can never find any fat free Philly around here but then all we have is HEB and Walmart.I'm sorry you had another night of lousy sleep.Maybe after working today you can sleep better tonight.Do you have to work any other holidays now that Labor Day is here?
June We didn't go to WM today but did go to HEB and they were crazy busy at 10:30.We can't go too early because Kenneth is working with the cattle after breakfast every day and about this time of day every afternoon. How is R feeling?

Bee Great goals.Being willing to me is half the battle.
MJ You did sleep in for you I guess.I'm an early riser also.I'm usually awake between 4:30 and 5:00 but then again I'm usually asleep between 10:00-10:30 at the latest.I am glad the face and arm/wrist are getting better.
Ann I see Carl must be a Tractor Supply fan.Kenneth gets feed there and his boots fell apart so we bought him a pair there when they were on sale(as much of a sale as they have.LOL.)Bruises from IV ports can look nasty.Prayers for Donna's mom.
LaDonna You live in SC if I remember correctly.I see they have started evacuations in NC.That is nice for the schools to shut down for shelters.Prayers for safety. Thanks for the good wishes.I slept much better last night and am feeling much better today.
Bee I do think the heat is part of it and the knee pain sometimes gets to me too.I haven't done a lot today besides grocery shopping and HEB was a zoo being Labor Day.
Audrey Be careful in that heat working outside.I guess since we haven't had any measurable rain in 2 months we haven't had trouble with mosquitos lately. On the other hand since it's been so dry the fire ants have come back but there are no fire ant mounds outside.I guess they are looking for water.
Pam I hope you are having a good day and smiling.

RocketMan was done very well. We all enjoyed it.
Just got back from a short hood walk.
It poured on and off today. Felt bad for those that had outdoor plans.
Sorry for no personals. The day zapped my strength. Going to get jammified and read.

Checking back in....
Ann Will keep your neighbor in my thoughts and prayers. Happy that you felt up to being out and about and having company for the movie.
LaDonna That's my kind of cooking plans-- everyone forage for leftovers. Ha ha ha... that was what we did. I had l/o chicken stir fry for lunch. Had big l/o salad w/ very small portion of brisket for dinner.
Good that there is an evacuation plan in place. When my DN worked in Florence as a deputy sheriff, he had to evacuate prisoners.
Audrey Goodness.... skeeter bites can be soooooo itchy. Have you ever tried After Bite? Works well.
Becky I understand. You clearly have thought through the situation. Considering a surgery can be complicated. R is a fan of of Tractor Supply, too. I always like to see what's new in the store.
Pam Hope you had a blue-dot day!
Mj Ha ha ha ... funny that you have to borrow your own tools to trim someone's trees. You & Toots could set up have several side hustles-- taxi, child wrestler, tree trimmer & removal, painter, mover, logistic wizard.

Took a cat nap and feeling much better Audrey so sorry you were bitten by mosquitoes. We have lots of doves here and I also love hearing them coo. Hope the Benadryl helps. I second the After Bite. Wouldn't be without it! LOL Becky yes Carl loves tooling around in Tractor Supply. I think he LOVES when we need to stop there to pick up food for LuLa I walk up and down aisles to get in steps, but that's about it for me. He also gets his boots there. Pam good luck with your weigh in tomorrow. I'm sure you'll do just fine. June yes a nice bubble bath is the perfect way to end the day. I'm going to pick up the kindle and try reading. Last time I ended up napping Let's see how far I get now!

Glad the arnica gel works. What brand is it? Bee, it's the CVS house brand. They were out of stock on the Arnicare gel but this is the same strength as the Arnicare roll-on. We lucked out! NASCAR Darlington was replayed at 3 PM today. If we'd stayed up, it would have been 2 AM before the victory "donuts". Now I'm double-checking with MissMouse that she will be taking the Mouseketeer to his 3 PM appointment tomorrow. I'm joining the jammified bunch and we'll watch some PBS before bed.
