Holiday Monday went OK... but WHEW! I was totally wiped out by the time we got home... the drive home "did me in'!!
100 oz water ❌ With the 3 hour drive home - drinking was not part of the plan for the day! LOL Ended the day with about 80 though, so not too bad! 5 F/V ✔️ Went out to lunch when we got home - had a delicious grilled chicken salad - JUST what I needed!!
No sugar ❌
No flour ❌
Journal ❌
No eating after 7 ✔️ Actually had lunch around 3 and didn't eat again! Went upstairs to read and relax - never came back down!
SO now that the long holiday weekend is behind me, I can re-focus on my goals... although they are never that far OUT of my focus - I make the decision when to go Off plan now - it's not just a "given" any longer!
Let me look back to Saturday and catch up for the weekend!

Simple Sunday was EXACTLY THAT - SIMPLE!!
We were at the beach and all laid out- and enjoying the sun and the surf by 10:00 AM !No traffic to deal with at all! So surprising... we were on the beach from before 10 to just around 2:00 PM... have to admit we all got a little sunburned! I was/am surprised! I mean with the tan I already had - I was sure it would not be a problem - but OH yeah... it is... not "too bad" but bad enough - I am angry with myself for not USING the sunscreen we had with us! UGH!!! It was such a beautiful day - but breezy... I was actually shilly a few time - wishing I had my sweatshirt! LOL Anyway.. I think the burn on my right arm will peel and itch - but for now, I juat treat it and deal with it. My face is not RED any longer - it has tanned out nicely... but yesterday - it felt "puffy"... so not happy with myself! UGH!
Anyway... after the beach we hit the hot tub - it was working by the time we got back - then we went out o dinner... came back to the tub for a while 0 but honestly we were all TIRED so called it an early night!
Christine: WOO HOO for sleeping IN Sunday - I am sure you needed it!! You are always so full of energy - and keep hopping... so some holiday weekend downtime is good for you!! So glad the kid showed up and you are done and ready to write it up!! Oh well, yard work will always be there next week!
Yes we are watching the Dorian coverage too... my cousin is in Jacksonville... Jaclyn's family is in West Palm Beach area...then of course there are Tracy's friends in VA Beach.. . Gabrielle: Did you get to those planters?? LOL I am sure your grocery bill has gone down significantly with DS19 away at school! As will your electric - and your water bills... hopefully you and Ed are adjusting nicely {{{hugs}}}
Ahhh, ya' kow we never hit "traffic" until we were 30 minutes from home... the interstate is "under construction" so they have some on ramps closed - even in the holiday - not working, just CLOSED... so it was a mess there - but seriously that was IT for traffic for us yesterday!!
When we were in NYC last year, we walked over to A&E Studios (Live PD) but they would not let us in AT ALL... the "guard" tried telling us it was "just an office front"... Heck NO - we KNOW what goes on IN THAT STUDIO... but apparently no one was "in town" that day anyway... so it is what it is.
LOL Yes it does seem to be "our luck" at some hotels... but this time we were amazed that it was OPEN the next day! Ahh, I do have to upload pics from my phone... LOL My phone is apparently running out of space too! We freed some up for more photos but need to tackle that this week!
Yes EEE is the virus threat from mosquitoes... we are very "watchful" if we are in the tub at "dusk"!
So what is this PD that you must present for/to? Sorry you had to "work" at home this weekend... but yes doing it from home is certainly better than heading in to school!
Lisa: Ahhh, much needed rain?? We had quite a bit yesterday - but no thunder... just good old fashioned RAIN - heavy at times... Ah yes... I fear that by the time I retire - I will have to work PT just to cover the Part B Medicare, blah - blah - blah.... I just don't understand it all right now! I do now my sister has spoken with her finance guy and so far it all seems to be falling into place... he actually had her "cash out" some life insurance... as she had SO MUCH... more than ANYONE would need for final expenses!!
Sue" LOL Didn't see this post until today... "somewhere in Massachusetts", yup, that's where I live! LOL SO glad you could do the trip to Shelburne Falls... wish we had been in town - I would have met you there! Hope you got to the potholes too! OH and the maple farm - with the maple ice cream...
Jenny: Whew... yes, waking up too early sure does mess with us doesn't it?? Glad yours is not a "daily" issue as mine has been lately!
How did school shopping go??
The weather was in the 80s but SUNNY... both days. The hot tub was working for Sunday afternoon and evening... BUSY hotel though... LOTS of families in the pool area - we didn't stay too long... kids screaming, and all... pool is scheduled to close this coming Sunday. Tracy will take water 1 more time today - and get a handle on the chemicals needed for closing. I ordered the winter cover last night... as much as I hate seeing the cover - it's time... better to do it now, in decent weather - we seem to always wait until the rain and cold comes in... Not.This.Year.! Well, except we may get a touch of Dorian this coming weekend... if so we will put it off another week!
Lisa: where did you end up for dinner??

Gabrielle: UGh to a hot-hot day for you... awww, sorry they stopped the fireman's traditional Labor Day! I bet a lot of folks stopped going - just seems to be the way things go... Ahh yes... here in MA we always started school in the Wednesday after Labor Day - we each (my sisters and I) got three new dresses for those first 3 days of "back to school"... even when my kids were young it was that same schedule... now they start the Wednesday BEFORE the holiday, but the first day is only 1/2 day.
Our Zoë starts pre-school today! Going Tuesday - Thursday, 12:15 to 2:45 - or something like that. Tracy is going down today to get some pictures...
Eden starts Kindergarten (home school) next Monday... not sure why they are waiting - but that's the way it is! LOL She will have her state testing this year though... apparently even home schooled kids get the MCAS tests?? Who knew??
Yes the drive was fine... I may have dozed a few times - rains came just as we were getting home...
How was the fries Zucchini? Tracy has done sweet potatoes in our air fryer...
Sue: Labor Day cook out sounded fun!! WOW another long day for you - are we about 1 1/2 hours from Avon, CT? So glad you got to take a drive and enjoy some sights...
Yes, weekend was great... a lot of relaxing time for us... water was too cold to swim at the beach, but nice to stand in and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean...

OK... need to think about getting moving here. I want to leave "early" again - to see if I can make this more a=of a habit too! NOT looking forward to going IN at all... not sure what kind of back=lash there will be since the issue with Deb last week. Thank goodness I was off on Friday - I do NOT want to get swept up in any of the drama!! Today will be a busy day anyway - after a long weekend... and I need to get my injections this week. Debbie is in today but out the rest of the week - so I need to bide my time (wisely) with covering for her. Didn't sleep well last night - was so tired I fell asleep way too early... then I think I was awake shortly after Ken came to bed - and then I was tossing and turning since before midnight! Came downstairs just before midnight, and got some sleep on the couch... but fear it will be a long day - no matter what!
Not sure of a dinner plan for tonight either - will have Ken pull something from the freezer and hopefully have a quick dinner - and another early night!
I will TRACK today... or at least journal... but the plan is to get to trackin' in MFP again... need to re-gain CONTROL starting TODAY!
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Leaving in about 30 minutes for Track Tuesday...and it is 78 degrees. Oh well, I will bring water and hope for a breeze. I DID get the front planters weeded yesterday--spent about 2 1/2 hours out there before it got too hot and it looks SO much better. I need to make it a goal to do just about 10 minutes worth each evening to stay on top of it. I will give it a try. We had "fried zucchini" from the air fryer last night with dinner and it was good. I have really liked using the air fryer (and it's easier to use once you make yourself do it).
Carole: So glad that you made it home safe and sound. So sorry that you are returning to drama. I remember you saying something about last Friday something happened when you weren't there---no details, but hope that it is okay today. Sometimes time away can help. Yep, make sure that you get to bed early tonight--it's always an adjustment heading back. Glad that the sunburn is going away. I have to wear sunscreen all of the time or else i get burned. We run so early on Saturdays that I am out of the sun by 9:30 or so and I think that helps. Sounds like you really had a nice weekend though--SO glad to hear it! Wow, preschool for Zoe! I'll bet that she will love it---make some friends too. Here in CA, homeschooled kids still have to take the state tests---we don't mandate any state testing until 3rd grade though. MA is smart to do it earlier---those are the reading years and so important. I'll bet that both of them like having school.
Hello to all who follow. Need to get moving. Made my salad last night, but need to cut up an apple and put a few things together in my lunch. I have a social "thing" at 5:00 and hope to be home by 6:30 pm tonight. DH will start the taco meat for me Have a good day ladies!

Good morning! Well if I want to go anywhere till the end of the week when Greg isn't here, I will have to walk or ride my bike or get a ride! We had dinner with Geoff and Grace (newly engaged) last night and Geoff said that his buddy was going to fix his brakes on his mini cooper and was waiting on parts. When I asked how bad they were, he said they made a scraping sound and Grace said they were scary, so I decided to loan him my car this week so that they didn't go out on him completely and the consequences of that would be good. And our land line is dead, but luckily our internet is still working, but Frontier can't get out till September 13. I think that I am going to request a partial credit for the month.
So we stopped by Greg's dad's house, and his friend Cheryl was cleaning out his garage which is quite an undertaking. Anyway, he had some kindergarten size chairs, and I took one for Kennedy after I refinish and paint it, and there was an old black trunk that intrigued both Greg and I. I think it's just like Target sells to students, but we took that too, and I need to open it up and let it air out and maybe put some baking soda in it. I don't know what I am going to do with it, no wonder I have so much stuff!
Didn't do too much over the weekend. THis morning I am doing laundry and going to see what I can do for Kennedy's chair.
Carole-hope that you can ease back into work today, sounds a fun weekend getting to soak up some sun.
Gabrielle-glad that you got some work done with your plants. I really want to invest in an air fryer - I have heard so many good things about them.
Sue-safe travels home! We noticed that our nearby interstates were busy late yesterday afternoon.
Off to make some oatmeal with berries and then look for some sandpaper. I think we have some around here somewhere, and start on the chair. I have a meeting at church at 1, but if Greg isn't home by 12:50, I will get on my bicycle and ride there, no problem. Might anyway just for the exercise, it's not that far across town.
Have a good Tuesday! Waving to all!

About 2 1/2 hours from home barring traffic and potty/gas stops....just st grabbed a salad at McDonald’s with lite dressing....back on track for a couple days before heading to David’s!
Back is not happy right now....think combo of the bed we slept in and the ride....will be glad to be home!

Finally home....traffic was only bad the 1st stretch....road construction between Karen's house and 84.....took an extra 1/2 hour or so to get there. Otherwise, not too bad. Did stop on the way home for bacon for BLTs tomorrow and gas at BJ's since it was 20¢ cheaper than in town.
Now to unpack a little, get the laundry done and hit the sack early. No sleeping in this weekend since the kids were up by 7 am every day! No biggie but a bit tired now! Hoping for a good night's sleep the next 2 nights before we head out again for the weekend. At least at David's we should be able to sleep in a bit....time will tell, there will be 4 kids ages 2,3,4,8.....and they are NOT the most well behaved. Love my niece and nephew but their parenting skills are less than structured or consistent....TONS of drama usually!
See you all in the morning...hopefully I can read a bit tonight if I can stay awake!

Hey all. Would’ve been here earlier but I was watering my flowers. I really need to weed ear around my Pots but my weed eater isn’t very good and I need to get string for my other machine. I work out again tomorrow. My trainer for his new equipment delivered today. His gym will officially open Saturday!!!! I’m excited d for him. And I really hope it works out for him. We are such a small town and I really hope it works out for him. I mean at times he’s had close to 20 ppl training with him and now he will also have the gym membership fees to help keep him going. Before when I trained with him we trained in another persons gym so he didn’t get that $$. Just the money for his training sessions. Anyway got to be at gym around 4:45
Carole glad you was able to get away for a couple days. Hope your day back to work today wasn’t to bad. Glad the weather was good and traffic was light. Wow to the traffic not being super crazy for a holiday.
Gabrielle it was a little warm here today. I think it was probably mid 90’s so when I left I was hot and when I was watering my plants there was no breeze. Finally by the time I was about done there was a small breeze. Ready for a cool down!!!
Lisa sorry your without a car for a few days hope they get their car fixed soon.
Sue glad you made it home safe and sound. So you had an extra day off today? Oh I wish I would’ve gotten at least just Saturday and Sunday. My weekend to work but I would’ve had to go in anyway since the first fell on Sunday. Ugh....
Ok need to head on to bed since I have to be at the gym early early.
Oh DH is working after all tomorrow so we will go out to eat at a later time. He turns 54 tomorrow.
