This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good Morning...went to Balance & Stretch, then to see DGS get on the bus for his first day of school, then stopped at DD's house and decided to skip Tap since I stayed there so long that I was going to be really late. So...I am going to catch up on email, and then run to Lowe's on my way to meet some girlfriends for lunch in the city. Tonight I have bridge...maybe I will get some reading done in between.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone -
Susie it was fun seeing so many BTS pictures this morning on facebook. Is this DGS first day of Kindergarten?
Last night was so nice. I made some chicken thighs - easy recipe a friend sent me with garlic and ranch dressing mix. Dyed my hair to get rid of the white hairs. ANd relaxed. Slept hard.
Today is full of meetings - then after work meeting a friend for a drink.

Hi Everyone, Just wondering if Lora is okay? I havent seen her post yesterday or today. I hope so. Today was the kid's first day at school. I was really nervous and my stomach was bothering me some but it feels better now than it did earlier in the day. Some of my nervousness had to do with the new kids and some I know had to do with my new teaching partner. It turned out okay today but I dont know about tommorow. We shall see. I guess we just have to get used to each other. Susie, I hope you made it to the rest of your activities planned for today. Have a good night's rest!

Hello everyone,
Janet, I'm glad that you got through today ok. I get such a nervous stomach, too, when I'm stressed about things. I hope your work partner is going to work out better than it seems like, right now.
Susie, enjoy your bridge tonight! I hope you were able to sit down for a bit, and get some reading done.
I had a nice day, and again, feel like I didn't get much done! HA! The grass was REALLY wet this morning, so I had to let it dry some, or it just gets gummed up in the mower. I did get more vacuuming done, so I wasn't wasting time this morning waiting for the grass to dry. Then, I was able to get the mowing done around the house, but not the fields behind the house. It looks good from the road, though, so that is good. I also mowed my path around the perimeter of the property. I like to use it for walking the dogs, and it is really nice to keep an eye on things back there. ODD stopped by for a visit, so we sat out on the patio and watched the butterflies and hummingbirds. I put the mowing aside while we visited and enjoyed hearing about her recent vacation trip. I made her one of those ham, cheese, tomato, and sprout pita pockets, and she loved it! Well, I am going to get ready for work tomorrow. I have enjoyed my long weekend, and I am looking forward to Friday and my mini-vacation. I hope I have good weather to get lots of things done. Last year I did this and it rained every single day. I don't see that in the forecast yet! I hope everyone is doing well (I was a little worried about Lora, too), and your week is going well. I will be back tomorrow, but until then, I am waving to all!

Oops, Amanda, I missed you....I am so glad you got a good sleep, and I hope it recharged your batteries for the week. I am sure you just have so much going on every day at this time of the year....some planned, and a lot unplanned! The chicken thighs sound delicious. I used to make them with a buttermilk based recipe, and they were so tender. I haven't made that for a long time. Do you marinate yours for a little while? I hope you will have a smooth week, and keep getting that rest!
