Interesting article, Deb.
So does this mean: - We will be seeing new, improved WW snack bars āNOW with healthy gut bacteria!ā?
- Will WW use this info to spend even MORE time pushing activity?

Wouldn't it be great zazzles if we knew exactly what type we were and had a diet plan laid out for us? Someone who opened up a place like that would make a bloody fortune!

Wouldn't it be great zazzles if we knew exactly what type we were and had a diet plan laid out for us? You mean like The Insulin Resistance diet? The Eat Right 4 Your Type diet? The Diet Right for Your Personality Type diet? The Dr. Abravanel's Body Type Diet and Lifetime Nutrition Plan? The Metabolic Typing diet? Thatās just a sample of what a search for ātype dietā returns on Amazon. borntexan, and oddly, WW is a LIFESTYLE, NOT a DIET! Just ask them. Iāve never understood why that accept that award instead of sticking their corporate nose int he air and saying (with an air of superiority): āWe are NOT a DIET, We are a LIFESTYLE!ā Oh, well, just more WW talking out of both sides of their mouth.

zazzles I'm sorry I just deleted my post because I felt like I was just rambling but it does irk me because they accept that award and it's listed on their FB page and yet claim it's a lifestyle.I really don't hate WW since I lost weight on both PP and SP and oddly enough made goal on one of the programs that makes almost the least amount of sense and that's SP.I switched to SP kicking and screaming especially after I gained the first month on it but yet I succeeded on it in the end.Now when I try freestyle for a week and gain I head back to PP or SP.I'm just not willing enough to trust it I guess.I guess which is why for me right now the only thing I really trust is calorie tracking on MFP but don't trust calorie tracking on ITB because it's either not the right amount of calories or I can choose a food that was evidently made for doing Better Balance(freestyle) and no calories are listed. If WW does indeed come up with a plan that makes more sense to me I may go back to meetings but not before I see what they have in mind.

Well, that is what Mindy has indicated their goal isācome up with a plan that will keep those who love Freestyle and bring those who hate it back. It will be interesting to see what they have come up with.

I hope that's true zazzles. It would be a setback for me to have to start counting points for foods that are 0 now. Some time back we went from 0p fruit to fruit having points, my fruit basket on the kitchen table soon after was filled with bread. No nudge toward fruit and I stopped eating it, it wasn't a conscious thing it just happened. Sigh...

Sighā¦ Well, as you know from years of experience, every WW plan makes some people happy, some unhappy, and some so miserable they bail from WW and take their financial support with them. The one thing WW has never done, apparently, is figure out that if change is constant the best way to keep all members happy is to continue supporting old programs; that is especially true since they went digital. They certainly could only have staff in Stewdeeoze support the current program, but members who have been indoctrinated into a particular program only really need the support for tracking that the apps and web site can easily provide. I think the comings and goings of members based on plan changes does a pretty good job of explaining why it has been so extremely difficult to build the membership numbers over the years. If you gain 1 million members and lose 1 million members, then what have you accomplished?!!

Back in 1997 I lost my weight on The Freedom Plan, made lifetime at the end of summer. In the fall they changed to the first points plan. I was furious, felt abandoned, when I told my leader she said, "you're too young to not want to change" š” I left ww and followed the Freedom Plan on my own for nearly 10 years.
My cousin convinced me to come back and give the points plan a try. I really liked it. Thinking back to how many times it changed since then, how could they support them all? It seems like it would be really confusing in a group setting when we talk about recipes, points etc.

But what makes it impossible (or difficult) to continue following programs that they have discontinued is the lack of a way to accurately track. Iām not talking about programs that pre-dated their WW Online presence on the web site, but POINTS, PointsPlus, SmartPoints, SmartPoints Freestyle, and whatever comes next. All of these programs have been tracked online and most have also had the app. Building apps and web site that dynamically switch depending on parameters a user chooses is everyday fareāit isnāt rocket science. It is doable.

zazzles, Jennifer, The problem with WW is that it has always gotten itself locked into the position of saying each new program (diet) is the best ever. So once you say that Smart Points Beyond the Scale is so much better than Points Plus, how can you possibly support people doing an inferior program? They could make Simply Filling work as an alternative as it was very different in how it worked so it was a totally different type of program. But, how could they allow Points Plus if they said the Smart Points way of calculating points was better? The reality is that there is no magic diet that works for everyone. There is a lot of personal preference involved. Just like running doesn't work as exercise for everyone, the same diet doesn't work for everyone. But, WW has always wanted to subtly sell the idea that there is a magic program out there and that it is the program that is everything. But, really, it isn't that way. I mean, sure, some programs work better for more people than other programs but it isn't like there is some magic one that works for everyone.
