I don't go out of my way to buy organic. Although I was eating an organic yogurt for a while because it tasted so good.

We always buy organic if we can get it and it's not priced too crazy. Our mindset is why eat something with pesticides on it when we can eat foods without? We also only use non-hormone milk. For fruits and veggies we especially try to stay to organic whenever we have the option, and in particular with fruits where we eat the skins because those fruits absorb pesticides into the skin. Example: berries, stone fruits, apples, pears. We can sometimes go non-organic on citrus because it has a thicker skin that we don't eat. Ditto bananas.

Most of what we eat is from the garden - especially in summer. This year's produce was iffy but still what we ate. The people we buy from often grow in their own gardens but we have no idea how it is grown. There are some organic items in the shops but not many. We buy what we see that looks okay but rarely buy organic...as it is not readily available.
An aside...getting veggies that are organic and pesticide free is not easy because unsprayed they usually have bugs and most people don't want to find bugs in their food.

I don't usually buy organic unless it's on sale.

surfgirl, I'm of the same opinion. I can afford to buy organic.

I don't usually buy organic unless it's on sale. FYI, if you want to eat more organic produce but feel it's too pricey at the markets, you can usually find a local Farmer's Market and sign up for a weekly Farmer's box, which if you stipulate, can be filled with only organic produce and usually costs less than at the stores.
