This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Hi Cats: I had a tough day yesterday. The first time I actually ate my nerves. I tracked it all, dipped way into my weeklies, I'm moving on. How is everyone? I really don't have much news. I'm going to try a new workout place this am. It isn't in my budget, however they are offering 3 classes/$30. I'm going with a GF. I finally had my gym bike repaired. Now I will alternate that with my TM time. I'm thinking about taking one of my rest days and making it a strength day. I used to have so much time to workout and now it seems I barely have an hour. Have a good one!

Good morning, Frieda and all to follow. I am racing all day to get from one obligation to the next, then falling into a huddle in the evenings. Not the healthiest cycle.
Today is the start of Lent, a good time for reflection and self-restraint.
I am counting the days to spring break and meeting up with DS. He has now expanded his interest in astronomy to photographing the skies; he bought a new lens and sent us some preliminary pics. Very cool.
DD texted good news that she is picking up additional contract work from others she is working with at her current full time post. It took her a while to discover what she wanted to do, but once she did, she has gone after it!
I'm having fun with my new class this trimester.
Off and running.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!
Frieda, I think strength is always a good choice for women. We tend to neglect it, but we really need it. As a thought, strength can take different forms. It can be a traditional weight lifting type thing, it could be a toning/strength format, or it could be a yoga class where you use your body weight and also introduce some flexibility. I like all 3 options; curious to hear what you decide! Sorry for the bad day......it happens. I think you have the right attitude in tracking and moving on. Hugs to you.
T, Lent indeed. I will have to give that one some thought. I like the idea of finding something to improve, instead of removing something. How awesome about both DS and DD! Can you share any of DS's pix on FB? I would be interested in seeing them.
Martha, my experience has been, with Excel, that once you have something that is meaningful to YOU to work on, it all starts to click.
Hoping more lovelies find us today. Hugs!!!

Good morning lovelies! I am just taking a break from work and wanted to say hi! Thanks for all the condolences about our sweet doggie! He really was a kind soul.
I have not been around enough to be able to do justice to the posts, but bay steps right?
I do know from fb that Colleen is in the midst of her major move. Congrats, you deserve this!
Back later, Angela

Hi CaTs. Overcast super warm 60 degree day today to ring in March. In three months I set up shop in the south - Ahhhhhhhh! Sealed three more boxes up today w DM. Continued progress, pretty good during mid-workweek. Off to piano lineup in a bit. Still hacking and not rid of freeloader Humphrey. Unwelcome guest.
Frieda, eating one's feelings is the oldest, most natural reaction! Hooray, you're normal - but we don't have to like it or accept it about ourselves. Tracked and Moving on is a great action plan. Forward you go. In your "less time to spend" life - are you getting pleasure in? Not just your WOs but reading we know you love, seeing a movie at a theater. Block it in and anticipate that moment.
T, so nice to see the young'uns coming into their own, yes? Did you make it to WW this week? We had a big influx of newbies on Tues - spring has sprung in the incentive dept for some. Meanwhile I'm hanging on!
MCat, waving to you and your spreadsheets - a def foreign language to me! They give me palpitations.
Angela, nice to see you checking in. My DSis and DBiL had to put down their beloved dog today after much on-going ear trouble, infection, etc. DMick's age - 12 ish. Always sad to lose a pet. He was a sweetie. Hopefully they'll see their way to another dog in time.
Ok, Kitties, relaxing with you is over! Have to crack my own whip and get moving! Waving to all reading Kitties and those present and accounted for - Have a great Hump Day.

Afternoon check in. The only self help I seem to be doing is the TM. I will have some upcoming free time when the kids go south for break. I think I'll go to the theatre then. I'll have to put some feelers out with GF's to accompany me. After all that's happened I don't think I want to be alone in that type of situation. I'm making a list though for that week of things to do. I might even join a yoga studio for 1 week unlimited.
Angela, we are always here for you when you can stop by. Are you cooking anything delicious? I need to check out some more cookbooks.
T: How was your meeting Monday night? Did you end up going?
S: You certainly are diligent on boxing up things. How is the purging?
I wish Nancy would come back to us.
See you all later!
