What are you willing to do today to lose or manage your weight?

Sunday I am going for a manicure and pedicure. I shall plan, follow the plan, track move and hydrate. So looking forward to being pampered I too have always had thick course and wavy curly hair. Medication/radiation took the curl. My hair grows in thickness rather than length. I wear it short as it's easier to manage. Sleep well.

Ann Enjoy being pampered.Great goals.
We are staying home from church so Dish Network can come check out if our satellite dish or receiver is out of whack.I have had trouble watching whole DVR'd shows because of loss of signal. They should be here sometime between 8-12.I doubt they will get here by 8:00.I had to cancel the last appt and it took 3 more weeks to get another one and although the recordings are some better they can check it out.
I am mostly planned.I will track, move and hydrate. No trouble keeping hydrated in this heat.
Have a good Sunday all.

We've got a big shindig at church in the morning..friends and family day. An attempt to lure some folks into our small, fading away church. A good many may show up for the festivities tomorrow but may never come again. Or,they may - who knows. Anyway it should be fun. I really don't want to eat the food that will be prepared. Its hamburgers, chips, desserts and misc. sides. I've been doing so well. I'm planning to maybe eat a late breakfast and just skip the food. There will be some music and activities after the food so I'll just offer to help clean up and call it a day.
My Saturday was not as productive as I'd have liked it to have been. Need to try and do better about wasting time online.
June, thanks for the start. sounds like you have plans in place to help you keep track of everything you have going on. When is R's surgery?
Ann, have fun getting pampered...are you trying anything new?
Becky, hope the dish DVR gets fixed to your liking. I don't have DVR. I think I would like it but I dont have hardly any channels. I just have basics, HGTV and some hallmark, the networks and a few more. I enjoy watching things on Netflix when I have time.

My sister was upbeat Saturday morning and then an hour or so later had lost some of her positive attitude when she found out that they were taking her husband back to nothing by mouth since his bowel sounds have not returned. This is a concern so the plan will no doubt be to medicate, get him up and walking and do what they can to get that going again. I have not heard back at the end of her day (morning here for me) to find out how he is doing but hope to hear better news next time she writes.
My plan today is: * eat fruit/veg at every meal (total five servings by end of the day) * hydrate * write down what I eat * 20 minutes walking time - 5 minutes at a time
MJ: Your family is lucky to have you there to help out with the grandchildren. Was the WW discussion anything new? Here's to getting the schedule sorted for the week so you know where to slot yourself in each day. It is 3am and you just got home? I hope you were able to nap while...babysitting? YIKES! I think I would have spent the night!
JUNE: Hope your mom continues to be okay! Does she have slippers with rubber soles to grip the floor? When is R's spinal surgery and which level are they working on? My BIL is in right now post-op in SF. You are lucky to have curl in your hair! I always wanted some but now that I am older and my hair is shorter I almost wish the waves had not found me since it keeps my hair when at bob length from being...smooth
ANN: I think I may need to begin weighing and measuring pasta again! I remember when I used to do that and add it to salad when I wanted some to make it feel like there was MORE. Hooray for a good night of sleep! Hooray for the 1.1 lb drop on the scale! Enjoy the manicure and pedicure.
LADONNA: When your husband is hunting do you chat and sip wine with the wives of your husband's hunting friends or is it a different group of women? I had beans in tortillas yesterday with couscous and cheese with lettuce on top. Did the math later and am not sure that meal was any less calorific than the pasta would have been! I hope the church shindig is fun and that some who come will decide to return. Good plan for the food at the gathering.
SUSI: Okay...read that your hair was done and you were going out to mow the lawn...my thought was that one should mow the lawn (and sweat) BEFORE having one's hair done?
PAM: Glad you are feeling better. I need to tackle the kitchen BUT with hubby and I both cooking and him not cleaning post cooking and all of the figs on the counter (dried) he plans to make into jam (someday) it is hard to tidy as there is little counter space to maneuver in. (excuses, right?)
BECKY: I know what you mean about family and Facebook. I am friends with cousins I have not seen in decades and only know about THEIR children and grandchildren via Facebook. My sister is no longer on Facebook so am glad she writes emails daily! It has been over two months since my last haircut and I realize it is still not as long as it usually is after a regular haircut. I am waiting probably another month to go in and have it trimmed even though I am wanting it a bit longer during the winter. That said, may have to go in before that to get the back trimmed even if he doesn't touch the front half. Hope they figure out how to fix the TV/Cable reception when they come out. Sorry to hear your neighbor is not doing well
AUDREY: One time I decided to trim my hair. We were living in Saudi Arabia and my hair was long enough to sit on. I gave the scissors to each of my children and they took turns trimming and trying to even it out then hubby took them at the end and evened it all out. It was quite a bit shorter by the time they finished

Good morning all. Another wonderful sleeping night MJ hope you enjoyed your evening I haven't been out that late in forever! Cathy praying for your dear BIL. Hopefully when you hear from your sister it will be good news. Great goals for today. I also need to go back to really paying attention to measuring pasta. I got out of the habit and will get back into it once again. Will pop in later. Wishing AWF a great Sunday

It is 3am and you just got home? I hope you were able to nap while...babysitting? YIKES! I think I would have spent the night! Son#2 & DDIL went out to dinner with a HS friend of hers, and his wife. They left the house for a 7 PM meet-up and the next text was at 12:18 AM. This was two 40-ish couples, both with kids, who finally got to be out for an evening of reminiscing and creating new friendships with the spouses (this guy was never a love interest of DDIL's, but a good friend - she told me all about their chance meeting "as adults"). They did offer "bed & breakfast" but we were prepared to drive home and while we fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows, they were OUR pillows, LOL. We certainly WILL stay over there (and will probably bring a GO-bag) if we think it's the wiser / safer choice - like bad weather. These DGKids are 7 & 4 on my collage. It was a peaceful evening with them - their skirmishing was nil <!!!>.

MJ I don't blame you for doing the 'bed and breakfast' in bad weather.

Good morning, all!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...
Extra prayers for Cathy's brother-in-law...

I woke up at 5 AM but convinced my π¦Early Birdπ¦ part that nesting for a while longer would serve me better. Toots & I both got up 9-ish and had an abbreviated breakfast since Sunday Steak Dinner will be around 11:30 AM. We have a tub of firewood to drop off at the MousekeHouse, a lottery ticket to redeem ($3 win), and I need to get chicken to slow-cook this afternoon/evening for tomorrow and one other day this week. NASCAR (Indianapolis) is at 2 PM.
I'm still waiting on MissMouse & Spouse to get back to me with this week's travel schedule and MissMouse's "Ideal solution" ideas (that's what I do for ALL the Big'Uns - "tell me what YOUR ideal plan would be, and I will let you know what our accommodation will be" - working for WIN-WIN). The first schedule shift is on Tuesday.
Coffee... βββ... and a nice, mellow start...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ

LaDonna I hope you enjoyed the shindig at church without doing too much damage food wise.It was a simple fix. There were a few limbs over the satellite dish outside causing us to get a lower signal than we should have been getting. The tech fixed it and almost doubled our signal strength. We don't have Netflix and since we live in the country we have to use satellite TV and internet. The only satellite TV companies to choose from are Dish and Directv.
Ann I'm sorry your neighbor is not doing well.
MJ You were a night owl.I hope you were able to sleep in.
Cathy I hope you hear better news from your sister. My brother was on Facebook this morning and I asked him how my SIL was and they were planning to move her to a regular room this afternoon and she may get dismissed Tuesday or Wednesday. She will then have to be admitted to a hospital in my hometown where they still live for 2 weeks for rehab hopefully to make her stronger.I hope that works because she always looks so thin and frail.
Pam Great goals.
I hope everyone is having a good Sunday afternoon.

Iβm trying to do yard work this morning so my post will be short. La Donna, I hope the church event did not derail your good days. Becky, by now your Dish should be repaired. Hope your SUL continues to have a good recovery. MJ try to catch up on rest today to prepare for a busy week. Ann, I am sorry your neighbor is not doing well. Cathy, thatβs a cute story about your family haircut. My next door neighbors returned. I will bring them food Wednesday as the other days are covered. Will be back later.
