I swear the alarm never went off this morning, although Toots claims that it did and he shut it off after only one alert <?!>. I was up at 5 AM anyway, but still... DivaTaxi's done its morning run and I'll be heading to the MousekeHouse in about an hour for MHMR. PT at LA-F has shifted from 7 AM to 9:30 AM for the school year. MHA-SR begins with pickup at 3:30.
The weekend was a good busy, but I feel a bit behind on my planning for the week. Toots' Tuesday rehearsal has been cancelled, which is a good thing. Wednesday includes a YM drill at 5 PM. And we have barely begun to plan the menus and therefore a more comprehensive shopping list than yesterday's "chicken stop". We've got stuff shifting around in the family schedule all week.
I need coffee... βββ... and breakfast...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ

Mj Luckily for me, all three classes were capped at 40 students and "no shows" trimmed off my collective total to 116. Last Fall I had 92 students in just two classes. Another plus is that all three classes are in the morning. The extra class will help towards the COBRA payment.
I do not think that I could pick out one source of an overload. The most wearing aspect that it has been unrelenting, complicated big stuff that does not get resolved w/o some sledgehammer. Last week I was at a place that I could shift focus to "what's slippingpast me" when my mom fell.
When I accepted the 3rd class, R's surgery had been denied & we did not know if he would have to have more testing, PT, shot, or what.
I confess that his original TH. Surgery day would have been easier. I would have had TH free & could have cancelled Fri easy peasy. But I am working on ideas for juggling classes. I built up 30 hrs of sick leave, but I want to hold it in reserve in case there are complications. Plus for my job, while I am only paid by the class hour, I have use 8 hrs sick time if whether I teach 2 class hours one day or 1 1/2 class hours another.
This too shall pass. And all that really matters to me is R's health.
My grandma did whatever she had to do. And I am the granddaughter that took after her. I will channel my inner grandma!

Praying for continued healing for Cathy's BIL and Becky's SIL. LaDonna, Jayleigh is beyond lucky to have you as is her mother. I am glad your church function turned out so well. June, you are definitely organized now regarding R's upcoming surgery. I woke up early with a nervous stomach. First of all, I got my dates mixed up for the set up at the clubhouse. It is tomorrow not today. Someone had responded saying they could make it on the 9th and that just stuck in my mind. So with the extra time I walked Lily Belle after breakfast. I feel unorganized about our trip and just have to get things done to feel better.

Mj Figured out why I had the first school related nightmare. I was irritated w/ the early college mentors who wanted me to do their job and want to disrupt my class. I handled the "do my job for me" nicely. I was more -- "oh, heck, no you are not entering the class & having a discussion w/ my student when they are supposed to be working on a class assignment." It is hard enough to juggle a class w/ so many moving pieces and diverse student population. My patience is fraying a little w/ the Mickey Mouse moments associated w/ Early College = urban high students.

A funny, but not so funny story Decided that I could use my office hour to knock out a specific number of document analysis. Never expected to hear some very spicy, loud swearing coming out of a colleague's office. Felt honor bounded to make sure that this old gent to ok. He dropped his slides and was in a full fledge snit. Uhm... he probably should retire for the second time. (he is a retired FT faculty, who now teaches a class each semester).

Bee j Good news about your DS! Hav esafe travels to Houston. Is this for a FU for your eye surgery?
Audrey Understand completely. I can accomplish a great deal if I am organized. But windging it or getting a date wrong in my head leaves me feeling unmoored. Know that you will get your travel preparations in hand. Then you will feel more at ease.
Susi Hope that you felt well enough by the time that you had to head to work. We're you overly tired?
okey dokey- must get to grocery store then jump back on those papers.

LOL June. Thankx. I really needed that story Put a smile on my face for sure! I am past being tired. Went to the surgeon and have to go back to see him in two weeks. He is pleased with the way I am healing. He removed some but not all of the stitches. A few he wanted to keep in and they really don't bother me, so it's okay. The discomfort that I'm feeling is due to all the manipulation he had to do during my surgery. He had to do way more than he thought he was going to do....... At least I got some good answers. He still wants me to take it easy...when I feel pain I'm to back off. Talk tomorrow....... Again, praying for all those needing prayers. I did read all posts...
