Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Back to work day was not fun. It was busy all week, so they left all of my work aside. I was able to take care of one of my tasks, two more will be waiting for me. I asked my boss if I could come in today for a few hours, but decided not to. It’s just not worth it. Ugh! I’ll get to it when I get to it.
Cool day today. It’s sunny now but supposed to rain later. Planning on making vegetable soup this afternoon. Will be nice to have that this weekend.
Kitchen cleaning on my agenda today. I bought some new shelf paper I want to put down. Floor needs a good cleaning, I let it get a bit dusty over the summer.
Nothing else planned.
Have a great day .

Good late afternoon! Joy, that’s crummy that no one did your work while you were gone! Although my assistant wouldn’t do programs or cash boxes for athletic events at the high school, so both had to be done for everything going on while I was gone. And when I returned, I always had 5 or 6 (or more) cash boxes sitting in our safe for me to count and get deposited. I guess we just learn to live with it. Your veggie soup sounds good. Do you have a good recipe for it? Stan made a great chili for dinner the other night. It was a “white” chili but almost green since it had tomatios in it. Wasn’t spicy at all, but you could spice it up with hot sauce if you liked. He’s going to double or triple the batch next time so we have more of it and could have it for company. I’d like more leftover also.
Mood is not great today and not sure why. Other than the weather is crummy!!! Sun played peek a boo for quite a while this morning, then it just gave up and we started getting off and on rain showers. We stayed up way too late and slept in way too late this morning. I did get a few things done while Stan & Maggie got in their run. Went and found some long pants to wear that actually fit! I’m afraid it’s getting too cool for my capris. Although if it gets in the 70-80 range next week again, I’ll be back in them.
Ran a few errands and actually returned something that we bought and didn’t like. And I double checked with our Bed, Bath, and Beyond that they also return pillows after you’ve tried them. So the next trip in town, I will be taking the new pillow I bought back. It was too expensive to keep and not use!!! Joy, I think it was you who told me they take them back. I wonder what they do with the returned pillows??? Picked up Harper’s birthday gifts and Stan’s prescription, and some bins to put things in so it’s organized in our closet. Things that are easier to find if you can see them. Hoping to keep our closet organized and nice looking.
I was so upset last night because I had to end up ripping out the entire cowl I was knitting DS Carol. It’s 320 stitches around and I had done about 15-20 rows, so a lot of work and time wasted. But I had dropped a stitch and even after painstakingly ripping out 2 or 3 rows I still could not find where the stitch was missing from, so just gave up and just ripped it all out. So now I have to start over! Will be much more careful when counting stitches as I work on it.
Hope Dottie is having a great time on her trip to Italy. More tomorrow!
