WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

Late dinner out with a friend, not tracked 22 points 1292 calories 37 APs
I went for a nice bike ride yesterday afternoon on the trail. Part of it is shared by the Amish, so itβs quite scenic. I went to Friday night football with a friend. The game was called just past half time due to lightening, so we went for a late dinner. I had salad, stuffed mushrooms, half a roll, and hard cider. Of course I also had a couple of cookies when I got home. Thankfully they were stale so I only had two. Iβm feeling very hungry this morning, which often happens when I eat more than just a snack after 9:00. Iβm not sure Iβll track today, but I wonβt go off the rails either.
Nancy, so glad your procedure was non-eventful!
Hi to Lori, Kathy, and Louise.

Jan - Sounded like a lovely day - active, social, enjoyable - and the eating sounds under control. Hopefully an equally nice day today.

Of the five days I had tracked AP for last week I ended up with an average of 4904. Hat's off to Nancy. 9/7 2082; 9/8 5099; 9/9 5426; 9/12 6600; and 9/13 5314
SPs 9/7 full day not tracked; 9/8 no food tracked; 9/9 no food tracked; 9/10 no food tracked; 9/11 no food tracked; 9/12 no food tracked; 9/13 no food tracked
Water 9/7 35 oz tracked; 9/8 4 oz tracked; 9/9 38 oz tracked; 9/10 40 oz tracked; 9/11 no water tracked; 9/12 18 oz tracked; 9/12 46 oz tracked.
WP since so many days were not tracked the 32 I had really doesn't mean anything.
I'd like to be able to start tracking cycles again. Nancy-I did try some looking around for older posts to find which cycle I was last on but initially never came up with anything. I just now figured out how to make the search function work and the post I found was on Mar 7th of this year which shows C28D16. So I was pretty close because I think I said C29 was where I thought it would be. So today will be C28D1. Yesterday was most definitely a binge day. I need to go now and put the water numbers in my food tracker for the last week.
