Regular Saturday 8 AM Workshop Substitute coach (one of our guides is certified) Sparsely-attended for yet-another week
Lots of our "regulars" were missing today due to other commitments. But attendance overall has been down for weeks and I wonder if Corporate is getting itchy about us.
The coach had initiated a "blue dot challenge" last Saturday and some folks really bought into it. We had quite a few "big losers" - over 3 or 4 pounds.
Today's coach/guide has a more "teacherly" approach than our usual coach. The first thing she said is that Corporate has indicated that workshops will still include successes, challenges, and the weekly topic but are to be no more than 30 minutes long, and that will be enforced.
The weekly topic was "carbs" and about not cutting out an entire food group. But "carbs" were not really clearly-defined except to say that "the ZeroPoint food list is full of them", and the new-format weekly [note: 3 columns, each with one generalized suggestion of how to "work the topic"] talks about leaning on "ZeroPoint or low SmartPoints carbs" and cutting refined sugar. My POV about carbs is in my sig line, below.
NOTE: my monthly weigh-in is under goal but I would prefer a bigger cushion. KOKO.

I thought the zero point food list was mostly non high carb foods like proteins and fresh fruits and vegetables. Maybe she meant the beans?
I managed to drop the 5 lbs that had crept back up. Now on to try and drop a few more.

Now on to try and drop a few more. To quote from the weekly: "They include peas, beans, lentils, and chickpeas - plus a rainbow of fruits and veggies."

SInce they killed our Monday morning meeting we simply meet there on our own. However, I was told weeks ago that they are likely to bring back the Monday morning meeting soon. If they insist on continuing this rigid enforcement of meeting content and time limit, I don’t think I will stick around if they put a meeting back there on Monday; I will propose that our little group simply move up the street to a coffee shop; I think most of our little group will be up for that.

There needs to be a 4th food group. Carbs are too broad a category to cover fruits, veggies and "not real" foods.
I was down .5 which gives me a 4.5 lb. cushion below goal.
