MONDAY MINDSET... Trying to get back in the groove... produce is prepped - just need to make the salad... HB eggs are ready... might take tuna for on the salad? Need to pull chicken to cook for salads this week!
Yesterday was productive - but not "noticeable"... DR table WAS cleared off (for the most part) then DH went through HIS medical bills - to make sure they are all paid - and now... well... UGH... I did get the medical bills all paid and organized - when I pay for my sleep study I will hit my deductible! YAY! Might not have to pay for PT!?
Oh found out Friday, that our 2019 Retirement Seminar is coming up soon! September 30 and October 7, Ken & I will be heading to those. Good news they are on his Mondays OFF... and I get paid to attend! PLUS MILEAGE! WOO HOO! LOL UGH Just realized that the 30th is the day after we attend the BIg E... THAT will be along EARLY day! OY VEY!!
100 oz water ❌ 5 F/V ❌ No sugar ❌ No flour ❌ Journal ❌ No eating after 7 ❌
Two "bad" days in a row - must turn that around today!!
Went to bed not feeling good last night - feel better now, but not "great"... Started my "diuretic" yesterday, so far nothing to worry about... will take today's when I get to work - just to be sure!
Now time to grab coffee and catch up... need to flip some laundry too...

Gabrielle: OH YAY having DS20 home for a few days!! Yikes... I'd need a sweatshirt and a blanket at 60 degrees! Aww, poor DH... yup, he has to get used to this new life... when DS20 comes home he WILL want to spend time with friends too... just another "change"... he'll figure it out!
Great the The kids are working in the middle school helping the volleyball team! Good for them AND the MS kids!!
Nooooo... the coast of MA & NH are too cold - and expensive!! The coastal areas in NC and SC are so much more affordable!
UGH I went to bed not feeling well last night - so the meatloaf did not get made... maybe i can throw it together this morning... if not I will write the instructions down so Tracy or Ken can do it today! We also have corn on the cob we need to use up... so no potatoes needed!
OH dear - you need rain - you WANT rain - but not this week... never works out "Just right"? Does it?? Hopefully it won't interfere with the harvesting - good luck to DH and his crew... and YOU to deal with the nightly frustrations {{{hugs}}}
Sue: Glad you feel good about the trip and YAY for traffic being kind (most of the way)... hope you were able to wind down and got some sleep ♥

Final monthly report was done and distributed last week - so now it;s the time of the month to see how the general ledgers are looking and see what I can clear before month end... again... coming right along!
Might CBL... not sure what the evening will bring!

Good Morning ~ Calling for sunshine and low 70s most of the week - inching back up towards 80s - no complaints. Still wearing my Summer outfits at work as inside the classrooms/halls it is very warm and hot when adding all those extra bodies... I treated myself to a pedi after working on Saturday - a little lift Yesterday I did all my chores/errands and visited with my mother at her place - she is getting cranky in her mindset - geesh - I just smile. Yesterday she was SO mad at her older sister. She felt her sister was just AWFUL towards their brother last Friday evening because he enjoys wine but when they went to visit at my Aunt's home she had no wine glasses or bottle opener. Harumph! My mother felt her sister should have anticipated this visit and been prepared! All she served was pie and coffee - um, okay? Her sister is 86 yr old, still lives on her own, and does not drink wine. WHY would she have the accessories laying around her little kitchen in anticipation of entertaining her 84 yr old brother? Geesh, Mom! I told her next time, bring her own wine supplies - a cute bag with wine glass, corkscrew, and bottle! She was not amused... Meatloaf and mashed potatoes turned out so good yesterday (sorry, Sue lol) served with fresh steamed broccoli... Carly and Ben returned home from Steelers game just as I was putting food away - Ben couldn't stay but Carly was thankful for a plate of homemade dinner. She is starting to get a bad headcold (from her students she works with) so comfort food was good. They had a great time but Ben is apparently a sore loser when it comes to his Steelers and complained the entire walk out of the stadium.

Carole - sounds like a FULL busy day you had Saturday! Glad you had some down time yesterday just to rest and prep for your week. Sounds like Cindi's company was good for your soul Sue - glad you returned home with little problems. I bet you are SO tired but good that you put so much effort into maintaining family ties. Gabrielle - good that you have DS20 home but I guess wanting to hang with his friends threw DH off - that is hard to accept - but he is STILL home and DH can still spend time with him! Fingers crossed the harvest this week goes well... Need to get moving here - another long day ahead but I'm keeping it positive and look forward to a productive day! OH, I did have to go see my PCP last Thursday about this darn poison ivy - keeps spreading - she thought maybe ColbyGirl has it on her coat and was rubbing against my leg. I agree - makes sense as that is the only place I keep breaking out - opted to take the steroid as this is getting ridiculous - took Colby to the groomer, and searched for the poison ivy in yard in an area she could possibly get into - nope, can't find it. What the heck? Now DH is breaking out in the same rash he had 2 weeks ago - thinking maybe it's the laundry detergent? So, re-washing all clothes to see if that helps him. This is getting old... And my itchy rash is decreasing but still little blisters popping up - two more doses of the steroid left - not sure what else to do to stop this spread. Oh...gotta dash - hoping everyone has a good MONDAY

Got a decent night's sleep...I think I was too exhausted, not just physically but mentally and was a little restless off and on...hoping tonight will be better as today will be a normal day!
Heading to Sam's after work for a rotisserie chicken, bananas, yogurt and a ham for ham & green beans later this week!
Will try to catch up after work...need to figure something else besides leftover pizza for my lunchbox....time to raid the fridge!

Good morning!
Somehow made myself get in my TM time....last night someone slid off the road below our house and hit a tree--I heard the screech and the thud and heard yelling. Went out on the deck to listen (it was about midnight) and heard the person cussing...someone asked if everyone was okay and he said, "Ya, we're okay" so I tried to go back to sleep...nope. Heard them talking until about 1:30, heard the tow truck come at 2:00 am. It is a ways down from our house, but it is so quiet out here that the noise carries. So, I am a bit tired today! It is sprinkling and I am driving to Sacramento for a meeting with all the crazies on the road with the first rain. Need to allow a LOT of time to get down there and stay in the slow lane. DH says that this little bit of rain will be okay for the harvest. The picking is due to happen Wed/Thurs/Fri. High pressure for DH but, like he has said, it is over quickly. We are lucky to have people who really want the grapes from good wineries.
Carole: Sounds like today is a good day to get back on track and feel better tonight, huh? I know what you mean....I felt like I grazed a lot yesterday and didn't feel as good last night. It would help if I would track! I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes (thank you to you and Christine for the idea) and the boys liked it--we don't have it that often. I found a couple of recipes that I plan to try this week. One is chicken breasts with pears and leeks and the other is a smokey sweet potato and black bean soup. Both are out of a new WW cookbook (they are 50% off right now). I might add chicken to the soup...still deciding. Sounds like you are cooking some chicken tonight? YAHOO for getting the DR table cleaned off--feels good, doesn't it? Hope that the diuretic helps you feel better. It sounds like your insurance is better than mine with PT---I get 10 appts per year--and the 10 starts when I have a PT appt. Then I pay full price---uggh. Sounds like a great deal to go to the retirement planning and get paid...wow! We have to go after hours. I just got my statement about my retirement account and it is VERY worthwhile to wait until I am 60 and I will have 34 years in the system. Hope that you and Ken have good news! I didn't realize that the homes were so many more expensive in NH and MA than in SC and NC....I wonder why? I would think that the warmer places would cost more--no wonder you want to move down there! Hope that you have a good day today.

Christine: LOL about Ben and the Steelers....well, these are the kinds of things that are good to know in a relationship, aren't they? We have friends who I really love but I see that in them and wonder, "could I deal with that?" Carly will figure it out! How is DH with it, does he do okay? Wow to DM....you know, my mom is very impatient with her sister too. What's with that? I thought that your suggestion was a good one! LOL, maybe she will try it next time. Glad that she has her DB and DS around to interact with. Hope that you feel the benefits of going in on Saturday as you kick off your week (yay for the pedicure!). So sorry about the poison ivy. We have poison oak here (very similar reactions) and I get it AWFUL. We joke that I just see it and get it, but it is miserable. I have to take something if it becomes "systemic"--and starts popping up in little patches all over my body. Are you keeping it dry? I find that, even when I shower, if I can keep the area dry it helps. So sorry that you have this after your shingles stint!
Sue: Glad that you made it home safely and had a good trip....I am sure that they were happy to see you!
Okay, signing off and allowing a lot of time for my slippery drive. Have a good day, ladies!

Good morning! I can't believe that I have been MIA over the weekend but I have. The good news is that I do have my car back, and am now getting stocked up on groceries and such again. My meat store doesn't open till 10, but I did get my other groceries already. Now I just need to get my phone call back to work. I decided not to call Extra Help yet because Nancy called me at the very end of August, and if she was out a couple of weeks that was probably the first 2 weeks of Sept. Actually I appreciate today having my car again, being able to get things back in order before going back to work.
Carole-yes go attend those retirement seminars and see what you can learn. And yay that you get paid to go!
Christine-yay for getting a pedi to treat yourself. And Colby could be a carrier of the poison ivy.
Sue-yes what a hectic weekend with much time on the road for you. I remember saying that I was going back to work to rest after such weekends. Maybe didn't get rest, but was back to a normal routine!
Gabrielle-enjoy DS home for a bit, I'm sure it seems weird to both you and him adjusting to a new stage of life. Wow be careful if it is slippery. Glad that the accident by your house wasn't too serious. I can raise my hand to number those who appreciate grapes for wine!
Ok I am off to the meat shop to complete my refrigerator stocking. I also want to go the Curtis orchards this afternoon to get more honeycrisp apples and perhaps some tomatoes and blueberries.
Waving to all to come. I have been getting Greg to walk at least 1/2 mile most days and of course that is good more me. I need to take the nut off of the other side of my bicycle's front tire so that I can take it to the hardware store and get a replacement for the one that fell off. That my be tomorrow's project.
Remember to drink your water!

Just a quick check in. Glad my j termed is working good now. Got the modem mailed back today!!! Glad to have that done now. No more than I was home it was like 3 weeks of it being down before I finally called. They did give me about $70 credit I think they said. Was grateful for sure of that. It’s usually pretty good most of the time unless the wind blows it out of line. This time it was modem issues and not wind.
Well today for breakfast and lunch I had protein shakes. I did end up having a couple of pieces of toast too but I feel good about what I had. Supper was a steak and no sides. Just meat. I’m satisfied.
I am going to try and make myself get up early in the morning and go do cardio. Ugh so hard when I don’t have to meet trainer Dakota. But I don’t want to go in after work so I will try but no promises.
Need to get laundry done and house picked up before we leave. My BF’s (the one that passed away a couple years ago) daughter cleans my house once a week but she won’t be out for 2 weeks she has to work at the bank covering vacations I guess. She works part time and fill ins so when ppl are gone I lose my house keeper. Oh well it will all get done.
Ok off to bed to try to get some sleep. Will check in tomorrow if I can. Miss you all!!!! You guys keep me going
