Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Ruth - WTG on your weight loss, terrific! You knew you could do it once you got back on track. It won’t be long until you are at your goal. Keep on posting, you inspire me.
Back from my walk, forgot to wear my Fitbit. I was charging it in the living room instead of my bedroom. Need to get back into the habit of wearing it day and night.
Rotisserie chicken, rice and peas prepped for my dinner. It will be nice when I can eat my larger meal at home, then have something small at work. 2 more weeks working full time, only 4 more early days.
Drinking water is still something I need to work on. I need to focus more on that.
Ruth - Sabre’s hired Ralph Krueger as the next coach. I don’t know much about him. Hopefully he can turn the team around.
Dottie - get some rest today, keep on enjoying your vacation.

Good morning all. I had planned on getting a walk in this morning pushing the stroller, but Miss Grump is in a really touchy mood this morning, so is watching Wiggles. And sitting in the high chair now eating the cereal she requested and then wouldn’t eat an hour ago. Think I’ll get on the treadmill while she naps and DH can listen for her. I’d go out then but I don’t enjoy walking outside at mid-day (too hot) and our humidity is in the oppressive range. DH & Maggie are out now getting in a 3 mi run!! I HAVE to add exercise in to my plan or I won’t keep losing as I want to. I need to get a glass of water going also. Another shortfall of mine! Especially when Mara is around!!!
Wow Joy, time will fly and you’ll be part time. That will be so nice for you. But a whole new lifestyle to get used to. So much more free time. You will find so many fun things to do to fill the hours.
I’m looking forward to hockey season starting. Want to get tickets to a pre-season game. People dump their tickets and for a decent price you can get great seats. I always enjoy doing that. And I hope to get tickets for a regular season game or two. Just to get out and do something different. We’re getting to set in our ways with this schedule. Not seeing friends or doing new things and I think that’s wearing on me.
We have Mara until tomorrow. Then tomorrow night having a sushi dinner with younger DD’s family to celebrate Harper’s 9th birthday (which is tomorrow). Not my favorite but I’ll figure something out.
Need to get moving and do a few things. Or work on knitting more dishcloths. Trying to get Carol’s Christmas order finished. I finished those for my DF but still haven’t gotten them mailed. Maybe today. I’ve given up on Carol’s cowl for a while. I switched yarns even and had an issue. Of course I was trying to work on it with DSon’s issues on my mind and that’s never good.
Have a great day and I’ll try to check in later.
UPDATE: I did not get on the treadmill when I went downstairs. There is just too much stuff on it and in front of it, so I started working on bagging up a charity pick up from the stuff already sorted. Then I started hanging up the clothes I’ve been taking down that Mara is just outgrowing. And then I started sorting out the clothes that I’m sending to older DGDs’ friend for her baby girl Tiegan. And then I started sorting the things I’m giving to my camping friend’s friend who is expecting a baby girl in Nov. i have big piles for both of those. And then I photographed and listed about 15 clothing items that were Mara’s. If they don’t sell, they will get added to the piles going to others. 2 of the outfits that I listed did sell and are to be picked up in the morning. It’s a start. Still working on knitting tonight. Sticking to dishcloths. More tomorrow!!!
