Today's topic is Fall foods, recipes, and such. What type of foods do you eat, fix in the Fall?

As we go into Fall I tend to want to eat more, especially carbs. I like warm, hot foods to warm me. I think more of stews, and soups.

Definitely heavier cooked foods. During summer I don't use the oven so perhaps casseroles will begin to appear on the table. Since local produce is seasonal we will be having what is in locally in season. Probably more baked potatoes, beets, cabbage...whatever is in season.

I enjoy lots of root veggies, any and all roasted veggies, stews, soups and chunky warm fruity desserts.

Soups and stews get more action during Fall/Winter. And I can be known to mix up a batch of fruit crisp topping and keep it in the fridge for last minute warm fruit crisp dessert, but I can't overdo that. Roasted veggies too! I love winter fare...

Hot chocolate or apple cider in the morning. WW Cinnamon apples for a snack. Mostly soups and chili. Fun! Ugh. Now I'm craving grilled cheese. Going to bed.
