Hubby and I went out for lunch (sandwiches) and to the museum to pick up the catalog my daughter wanted. I finished a book and wrote a review and will write a review and start a new book (or two) today. Hubby will be heading to Beirut soon.
My BIL is now having liquids to see if he can tolerate them. He needs calories so they are giving some by vein and some by mouth. He has some things he must accomplish before he goes home BUT there is hope that by or before the end of the weekend he will be heading home. I know he and my sister will be more comfortable there. Their dog will be thrilled to see them, their bed is waiting, their garden is serene, there friends are plentiful and helpful. I have my fingers crossed he will be home soon.
LYNN: There should be something easier and cheaper than a mammography...keep thinking someone would have come up with it by now!
CHERRY: Hope your son's house is not flooded. Good that you managed to get more dirt on the pile and do hope you managed to deal with cucumbers and tomatoes. That is a lot of rain! I hope the farmers' crops survive and can be harvested!
BEVERLY: Glad you slept well. Not sure if I would like Hustlers or not. Glad you had the day out. Your dinner for family sounds tasty and fun!
PAM: New phones are fun but can be a learning curve! Sounds like a positive day for you and your family!

Cathy, so glad my mammography is covered by my insurance. One important perk from 26 years working for the state.
I intend to do some laundry today and some tidying up. That is my goal...I hope.
I went to the AARP meeting yesterday. It was nice...I didn't stay for coffee and bingo afterwards, though.
I was sick of eggs for breakfast, so I had oatmeal for breakfast. It was good especially, since the temps here are in the 50's, but only until tomorrow when we heat up again.
Have a great day, my friends!

Good morning girls,
My mammogram is also covered by insurance. My dr has a twin sister who is a breast cancer survivor, it was found in her regular mammogram, so he is a real stickler about it. He absolutely insists that I have one every year. I so believe that that test was invented by a man!! Who else would have decided to put one of the most sensitive parts of our bodies into a vice & squeeze?
I am waiting for the temps to get cool enough here (if it ever does), to enjoy a bowl of soup or oatmeal. The high today is only supposed to be in the mid 90s!!!! That sounds like a cool spell!
I have an appt with the hand specialist this morning, that's about it for the day. Dinner with the family went well last night. Everyone seemed to enjoy the stuffed peppers. I sent some home with SIL & still have enough for us to have for a couple of meals.
Have a great Thursday!

Good morning. Roger said he had some water leaking in to the basement, but not as much as during the last rain. He didn't get as much rain as we did here.
I didn't get much of anything done yesterday. Today I'll work on a few more things. It promises to be a pretty nice day today, sunny and about 77, although the wind is supposed to pick up this afternoon. Then then the next couple of days there are showers predicted again. Today will be the day to do anything outside.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Itβs late but Iβm finally home. Itβs been a great day that included lunch with mom and 3 of my sisters and dd. In fact after lunch we went back to momβs where 2 more sisters joined us. There was lots of sharing and laughter.
All food has been tracked and now itβs time to relax. Sleep well Beaches!
