Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Got my walk in, picked up my prescriptions, went out for breakfast ... busy morning.
Kitchen cleanup on my agenda today. I tossed a lot of my old plastic containers, won’t need them as much as I used to. I started switching to glass containers and will use them for freezer storage. I made room for my meal prep meals, will keep a few in the fridge, the rest in the freezer.
Not much else going on today. See ya tomorrow

Good afternoon. Well I got a walk in too, but thought I was going to die!!! Didn’t get out until about 11 am and it was already 80 and humid!! And I haven’t been out in so long (way TOO long) and being back up in weight, I overheated!!! Wasn’t sure I was going to make it home, but I did. Was pushing the stroller. Kind of leaning on it occasionally. Stan often jogs with Maggie when Mara naps, (varies from 12:00 - 1:00 to go down to 2:30 to 4:00 to get up) and the heat and sun don’t bother him at all. He keeps saying on days he doesn’t run, that I should go walk! When he saw what I looked like when we all got home, I told him I would be even worse if I did that all the time when she naps. So I’m going to start trying to walk even earlier. Days we don’t have her I can do much earlier, just have to get dressed and get going. Days we do have her, just have to get her moving earlier too. She likes it for the most part, so easy to get her going.
Meeting up with DS at dinnertime to return Mara since we have that visitation/memorial service tomorrow. DIL works tonight, so he will have Mara overnight and she will have her tomorrow and have to nap when Mara does, but that’s their issue. I need the break of 3 days off. I’m sure we’ll get her back Sunday night because DIL works Monday and we try to avoid those morning meet ups.
Laundry going. Sounds like I need to go transfer from w to d. Wanted to get my other pair of capris washed since I’m juggling 2 pairs for our hot streak. That’s to end in a couple days.
Well I went to the doctor yesterday morning about the itchy red spot on my leg. Don’t remember if I mentioned it. Showed up about a week ago, just a red spot about the size of a quarter, on the right side of my right (new) knee. Itched but didn’t hurt. Then it looked like it was spreading just a little and area about as big around as a tea cup itched! Verified with younger DD that it wasn’t shingles because it didn’t hurt (she’d had them and knew a few things). So got in to be seen. She ruled out shingles, a tick bite & Lyme disease, but not sure what it IS!!! Could be a spider bite, a bug bite of some other sort, or contact dermatitis but that doesn’t usually start as 1 big spot, more rash like usually. She said whatever it is does look infected, so she prescribed an antibiotic cream. Turns out that ins. doesn’t cover the cream, so waited all day for dr to call back to pharmacy and ok the ointment ins does pay for. Ugh!!! If it’s not looking better tomorrow (less red) she’ll prescribe an antibiotic ointment. If it still itches a lot tomorrow, she’ll also prescribe 3 days of Prednisone. She said the prednisone will inhibit the antibiotic working on it, so would just use it short term. It still itches today, but due to the lateness of getting the medicine yesterday, I only used it twice yesterday (close together) and will get in the 3 times today.
And I thought my massage was tomorrow afternoon, but turns out it’s the same time as that visitation tomorrow, so had to call and cancel that. Probably just as well with my leg being an issue. The dr did say it’s not contagious whatever it is.
Ok, need to go take care of laundry, and do a few other things while Mara is upstairs. Still singing and talking and bouncing in the crib for an hour and a half. But she’s up there until she either goes to sleep or 3:00 pm comes around. I give her 2 hours either way. Unless she gets really upset. And she rarely does!
more tomorrow. Joy, do you remember when Dottie gets back?
