Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon,
I had a bit of running around this morning, finally able to post.
I’m tired of constantly needing to pull stuff out of my bathroom closet to find things. I went to target this morning to buy a few organizer bins to see if they will make a difference. I hope so. So that’s what I’m doing now, reorganizing my bathroom closet.
I’m going out to dinner tonight with a friend. She wants to go to Olive Garden, sounds good to me. I think I’ll pick up a couple of the $5 pasta meals to put in my freezer.
Can’t remember when Dottie is coming home but I hope she’s having a great time.
Back to CBing ...

Good afternoon,
We got home around 10 o'clock last night and we were both in bed and asleep by 10:30. We were exhausted, We had been up over 20 hours with the time change. We landed in Boston at 5:30, went thru passport control and customs very quickly and then waited for our luggage. We didn't get our luggage till 6:40. We left the parking lot and got stuck in some Boston rush hour traffic. It feels good to be home. I did 3 loads of laundry already and went grocery shopping. I think we will both need a nap this afternoon.
Joyce, good idea to organize your stuff in bins, hopefully it will make it easier to find.
Ruth, I understand about walking in the afternoon. We try to get out early when we walk, otherwise the heat gets to me.
Italy was wonderful and we had the best tour guide. In most places there was also a local guide to show us things. Everything in Rome was very crowded. About 30,000 visitors go thru the Vatican museum, Systine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica daily. St. Peter's square even has more visitors. One thing for anyone planning to go to Rome is either join a tour or purchase all tickets ahead of time. The lines at the Vatican museum, the colleseum and other places were up to an hour long. The streets are very crowded with cars, motor scooters and delivery vehicles plus the pedestrians. Also lots of pick-pockets, our guide would remind us constantly to beware of the pick-pockets. Also the local guides would tell us to be careful when we were in areas that were crowded, which to me was all of Rome. I barely got to see the Trevy fountain. There are about 10 rows of bleachers around it, they were completely filled and about another 10 rows of people standing behind the bleachers. We stood on a set of steps from a store front and then were able to see the fountain.
I haven't read all of the posts but will try to do that later today or tomorrow morning. Tomorrow afternoon is "family pictures". My DS and DDIL gave me that as my birthday gift last year. Bill wasn't feeling well enough for the pictures then, so we said we would do it in spring. DDIL had her surgery in spring and wasn't feeling well for several weeks and then both DDIL and DS#2 were busy with end of school activities. So we finally are all available for tomorrow afternoon. We DS#2, Bill and I are driving up to DS#1 house and then go to a local park
For the most part I didn't bring home any clutter. I have a few brochures that I want to read before getting rid of them. The gifts we bought we will take up to DS#1 house tomorrow and they will be out of our house. I did buy 2 small Morano glass necklaces, but other than that nothing else. We were so busy that there wasn't much time for shopping.

Good evening all. Welcome home Dottie!!!! It sounds like you had a great time in Italy. From all the pictures or video I’ve ever seen from there it looks very crowded. I heard that Venice is going to start charging for more things because of the crowding.
We had family pictures taken before Mara was born and I still don’t have them up. Mostly because I don’t like the way I look in them I’m afraid. It was right before we had started WW. I must get them up. And get a good picture of Mara to put up also because DIL was expecting her when they were taken. I think I want to put a few other pictures up besides the photo shoot ones. Enjoy your photo shoot. Did you pick a color scheme for everyone?
The visitation this morning was hard, but the family seems to be doing well. The widow said it was actually a relief when he passed because he was in the hospital the last 9 days of his life with massive amounts of blood clots and treatment was going to cause bigger problems. He didn’t want extraordinary measures, so they stopped any treatment and let him go. Our DS was good friends with their son and our younger daughter swam with their daughter and they are still friends. The girls have 2 daughters each that are within about 2 mo. of each other in age. Older girls 9, younger girls 6. But it’s hard to start losing your contemporaries. You expect the next generation to have health issues and pass, but not your friends.
We got the bib and shirt for Stan’s 5K tomorrow. Had dinner in a small restaurant. Was good but nothing was WW friendly.
I also contacted the CNP about my leg and the sore and rash. She added a Prednisone prescription for 3 days, but no oral antibiotic yet. She said see how it is Monday. If anything, I’m afraid it’s spreading. And still itches. Sure hope she figures out what it is and how to get rid of it.
Really trying to get all the dish cloths that DS Carol wants for Christmas gifts finished. I’m down to about half a dozen of the 25 or so she wants. I’m making her a set of a new color she liked that I was working on when I was there. Then I’ll get busy on her cowl and Harper & Mara’s winter hats. And the 3 or 4 more black/gold hats that Carol wants for her family. The black is awful to work with so those are last.
Have a good night all and I’ll be back sometime tomorrow!!!
