Saturday I plan to add another OP day to the mix. We have no plans. Sheila called and asked Carl and I to stop over tomorrow. It'll be good to see her.
Sleep well.

BIL update:
Thursday morning my sister said her husband was miserable when she walked in. The nurses thought he was complaining (and a druggie) as the doctors had cut back on his pain med. He was dirty and down so my sister put on her fast talking shoes and got the nurses, practitioner and others on board by telling them that he can't get up and move to heal if he is in too much pain to move. So, they increased the pain med and gave it more frequently. He was put on full food intake and she was on her way in to see him after a good night of sleep
Friday Morning: She walked in and he was positive and clean and ready to move. The plan was to keep him moving and increase his food intake to at least 1400 calories so he can have the TPN line (trans parenteral nutrition) removed. They had practiced transfer from wheel chair to the truck seat (in and out) so both my sister and BIL felt confident they can manage it. I did not hear again yesterday by midnight my time but so far so good. My sister says they want him with no fruit, nuts, heavy grains, high fat for six weeks so she will have her dietician friend help with meal plans.
My role as cheerleader was to send fun things to her via email and pinterest so that is what I did. She hasn't written from California (It is midnight there) so probably won't hear from her till afternoon my time (when she wakes up).
My day was cleaning, reading, writing a review, a bit of cooking and that was that.
BEE: What did you find helped this week with weigh-in?
MJ: There are a LOT of books and all are in ebook format. I download most from NetGalley but do have some regular authors I read for. Those come via email or are downloaded from Bookfunnell or another site. I am glad this is an option since most will not send via snail mail outside of the country they are published in. The books on NetGalley disappear in 54 days so they are not mine forever. As usual you sound BUSY!
ANN: Glad your foot is feeling better. Sounds like you had a good day.
SUSI: Sorry you lost your sister in 2015 but happy to know you and your other sister are stand-in grandparents for Torin.
LADONNA: I am not a fan of rap music so understand why the concert might not have been your favorite. Your vacation week sounds divine! Your plan for healthy food sounds do-able. How fun to have Jayleigh and her mom as part of your extended family
PAM: I need to make a grocery list...know we need a few things. Hope you managed another blue dot!
BECKY: Sorry your knees are hurting. Scale stayed the same this morning and I will take it.
Planning to:
* journal * hydrate * have a fruit and/or veg at every meal

Good morning all. Last night the temperature was perfect and we were able to sit in the screen room and enjoy the night. Cathy very proud of your sister for speaking up to those taking care of her DH. Hopefully today you will hear even better news. Great goals. Thank you, Becky. I'm also hoping that Sheila is doing better. Will pop in later. Waving

Good morning, Ann - Becky - Cathy - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...
LOTS of extra prayers for June & R, for Sheila & Donna, for Cathy's sis & broIL...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ
So much for sleeping until 6:30; I've been up since 4 (well, before that but went back to sleep), got out of bed at 5:30, and am now sitting here wondering how early I can text MissMouse for the information I need to re-enter Xfinity on the Roku she gave us (it was hers, it's set up for HER user name & password, neither of which I have at hand). <sigh>.
There may or may not be a WW workshop in my morning. I checked in on Thursday in anticipation of today having a YM event but that did not come through (not that I mind so much, LOL). But I'm not sure that I'm up for "We are discussing taking time to move and stretch" - which sounds nothing like the handout's perspective on creating a Habit Loop.
The rest of the day? I dunno. The YM are marching in a parade tomorrow (not local) so I may check out where the muster point in Raritan is; yes, I'm one of the drivers. It's supposed to be a pretty day today, and we might be able to find a farm market or suchlike out there.
Sipping coffee... βββ... and jonesing for a bagel with lox and a schmear...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ

Ann - Glad it was a perfect night on the porch Becky - Enjoy your op day Cathy - Good for DS being proactive in BIL's care. I remember we found MIL in a deplorable state after surgery and the nurses unwilling to help. I raised such a stink that 3 nurses were fired and she was moved to another floor. Most are so caring and willing but once in a while things fall through the cracks. I too was up at 4 but went back to sleep until 6. Yes, it was a rather boring topic yet again so we kind of had our own meeting. Usually our coach can keep control of the meeting but I think even she didn't want to continue. Got a last minute invitation to do to DGF for dinner. She makes great beef stew! Plus it was a chance for Charlie to go for a ride which he still loves. This morning we went and fed the ferals. I'm going to take a short nap and then Carol and I are headed to the beach for a few hours. After that? Likely a bike ride and some prep for the week.

Have to tell y'all I didn't find it! Had to ask my smart sister.A mystery for you Ladies. ********************* The test of the head is to find a camel, it's a test to see who can develop Alzheimer's. Doctors say those who find the camel will be far from developing Alzheimer's.
