Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
It’s a cool, rainy Monday, - far from hot, sunny humid Sunday we just had yesterday.
This is my last week working full time. Going in at 11. We are having a goodbye luncheon for one of the managers today. He is moving to Florida next week. They are catering in the food. I know bbq chicken is one of the choices so I’ll enjoy that.
Nothing on my agenda today. I might do a load of towels this morning, but that’s it.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, I’m sure you will enjoy your PT schedule. It will give you more opportunities to join an exercise group or meet with some friends. Enjoy the catered luncheon. I’m sure you were happy about the Bills yesterday. Bill watched most of the Pats game with his eyes closed. We are still having a hard time adjusting to the time.
Ruth, hope by picking Mara up at night has ended her morning problem in the car. Hot here today and very humid for September.
We went up to the lake this morning. Due to how cold it gets we have to make sure that any liquids are brought home and stored till next summer. The good news is I cleared out a space to store the boxes several years ago and it is still cleared out. In fall we put all the boxes there and come springtime I know where everything is. One year (while I was working FT) I couldn’t find a box of the cleaning products and of course once I went out and purchased all new stuff I found the box. A little more about Italy. Pompei was amazing. There are still partial structures that were covered by the volcano ash standing. The beaches along the Amalfi coast were OK. The beach itself is gray pebbles and sand. Hard to walk on compared to beaches that I’m used to.

Good afternoon ladies. Quiet morning here. Mara woke in a good mood and has been in a great mood all day so far. Now she’s down for her nap and Stan & Maggie are out for their run. As soon as Mara is quiet, I’m going downstairs to sort and photograph and list more baby stuff for sale. I really want to get rid of it. I had a big bin of stuff I was keeping, but with DIL having the skin reduction surgery in a month, I don’t see her getting pregnant anytime soon and messing that up. She has lost like 110 lbs. and is having back issues. So I see no need to have all the stuff I’ve kept. Our grands are 26 but don’t see them having babies anytime soon either. I just want my basement storage back for what we need to keep. Not all this other stuff. And younger DD has started keeping less of Harper’s stuff for Sawyer, so think I’ll have her keep what she’s keeping at her house and then what comes here I can just list immediately and not have to store long term and try to remember what is what. And I need to start getting DS’s hockey sticks sorted and listed. And Stan’s bike. And other odds and ends in the garage and house. And soon I can list or donate the excess Christmas stuff we sorted out. And on and on and on!!
Joy the time has gone by quickly for you to go part time. You will enjoy it so much. And if not, I’m sure they’d have hours you could fill in for people!!!
Dottie, trying to have a designated place for things in storage is one of my goals. I have a set of shelves now that is mostly paper supplies, extra filters for fridge, furnace, dehumidifiers, etc. and dog poo bags. That way we know where to look and I can take inventory easily. Now if I could only do that in my pantry, etc. Because like you said, you can’t find it, then boom you buy more an the first shows up!!!
I will never make it to Italy so am enjoying your comments. I’m just looking forward to Hawaii in January. Want to build in a day or dinner or something for just Stan & I; and then some of that same time w/o children for DD/DSIL. We all deserve that on vacation. And I’m not going whale watching with them so I can do some shopping downtown and meet them after their adventure. Last time I did it I didn’t feel well, and I’ve done in 4 times I think. I’m good! And I’ll get some alone time that way too.
Ok, she’s quiet and the dishwasher is running. Need to fold a little laundry and head downstairs. Hope everyone is having a good day.
