GOOD MORNING - What does YOUR "to Do" list look like today??? I think we all need "help" with planning - so here's your chance to write down your (weight loss) TO DO LIST of what will help YOU today!! Not "overall" but TODAY... what can you DO today to get back on track - or stay the course???
AS you all know I have been making my list faithfully each day - for a while now... some days it helps, other days not so much! The good news IS - IF I stray from my list of goals - I usually think it through and decide if it's the day to make a few "bad" choices or not!? If I eat something NOT within my guidelines/goals for the day - I do it consciously... not just because it's there! Yesterday I opted to have a small serving of apple crisp... guess what?? It was "too sweet"! LOL I didn't even eat it all! Then I chose to pull out a bag of pretzel crisps... but then decided NO - already had some sweets - didn't need to add pretzels (flour and salt) to the day = so I put them back!! I am making better choices - and making decisions, not just eating what is in front of me!
So after eating differently Friday I had a gain - Saturday I lost some of it - Sunday I lost more... but it sure doesn't come off as easy as it goes on! I am afraid it was the water pill that was losing the weight for me... we'll see what the scale shows today - but IF it were the pill, then I am not sure what to do about it!! Anyway... I had to know if it feels too good to be true... it probably is... so I need to come up with NEW Plans, to see how I can get this weight off!
Anyway... I think I was still trying to catch up from Sunday... let's see what kind of time I have today! ♥

Gabrielle: Sounds like a great Saturday to me! You got your run - your nails, went to a party... feeling caught up on housework and laundry... it's a great feeling huh??
Sadly I guess most of us have "someone" in the family - that is willing to risk the family "ties" for their own happiness! We have SIL Stephanie... Sorry you too had to deal with issues when DMIL passed away! I hope we can all just "get through" the fight ahead! She is willing to take her siblings to court over the estate... just makes me sad!
Oh Sunday... no... I didn't leave the house all day! LOL I was enjoying the day - even if I was cleaning and such! Eden feels much better - but then again they are in FL! LOL Not the same allergens down there - so they are ALL feeling better! They left Friday - drove straight down to Zephyrhills, to stay with friends. They go to Clearwater Beach to watch PATS games. A bar/restaurant right on the water... and by the looks of the pics, everyone enjoyed having a little one around for the day! She made new friends - and collected shells - and got WET - fully clothed - in the crystal clear waters on the FL beach!!
Jenny: Ouch... sorry you had to get up early with a bad back! Ummm, I think my pills are regular water pills? But how would I know?!? LOL Good luck on your goal this week, of moving more during the day. My Fitbit reminds me to move each hour - I ignore it lately... I used to get up and take a walk... might need to start doing that again!
Sue: LOL That's what I was saying Sunday too! Feels good to be this productive for a change!!! Yeah - it's like pulling teeth to get Ken to come up with a choice for a meal! Tracy is pretty good about it - if I ask... YAY for seeing the downward movement of the scale! TO be honest - the "fasting" thing happened kind of by chance! I don't eat after dinner anyway - so when I started thinking about when I eat my breakfast it just WAS about 14 hours... some days it can get to 16, depending on when we finish dinner... but the no eating after 7 was really just a habit I already had without really trying! LOL
Nope you cannot "adult" for an adult! They have to learn how to live their own lives...
Shelly: Enjoy your time with Clayton and his family ♥

Good Morning ~
Last night I chose to sleep in Lindsey's bed since it's NEWer and empty with her back at school - best night's sleep ever! lol My FitBit confirms it too - barely even rolled over apparently lol
The head cold found me. Came home dragging yesterday after a good productive day. DL's call for Volunteers worked and others were available to take over the late Child Care duties - amazing how much I was able to get done instead of doing Child Care! We now have 2 buses running but still need 2 more...I don't know how long this can go on for but again, it was DL's choice not to fight the city district for busing issues.
Still plodding away at Benchmark project and I'm losing my Team so it's me flying solo - my right hand gal, Kristi, was VERY sick over the weekend and her doctor suspects Lyme Disease. OH NO! I feel awful for her and really hope the doctor is wrong - she's still waiting for results of blood work but meanwhile battling a high fever. Our other staff member, he does English as Second Language as well as math help, keeps coming in work LATE every day, leaves for long lunches (he likes to work out at local gym) then bolts immediately after work. His work ethic is looking sketchy - then yesterday he took a half day as his college student daughter had an ear ache - must have been pretty bad if he had to drive to her college to bring her home??? Not going to worry about what I can't control...not my circus...

MOVE IT MONDAY - Did some stretching, not "Enough", but some... found some PF stretches that are pretty close to what I am supposed to be doing for my left ankle/toes, so now maybe they will all help both issues!?!?!! Besides that I didn't "do" much!
100 oz water ✔️ 5 F/V ✔️ No sugar ❌ No flour ❌ No wine ✔️ Journal ✔️ No eating after 7 ✔️
"MOVING" ON... to TO DO TUESDAY
100 oz water 5 F/V No sugar No flour No wine Journal No eating after 7
Jar salads are made and ready for the rest of the week! HB Eggs are in the fridge Chicken for fajitas is already to re-heat for dinner tonight, I will have mine on a salad... no wrap.
This SHOULD BE a "no-brainer"!

Tonight after work I made plans with DM to go to dinner and a movie. She is a huge Downton Abbey fan and begged me to go with her to the movie. She actually wanted to go Saturday but with Linds home I asked if Tuesday night could be an option - but now I'm hurting with this darn head cold. So today, shhhh, I plan to leave work at what is supposed to be my regular time, 4:30 to rest before dinner.
Carole - I can understand your struggle with being fearful the water pill was too good to be true. But your outlook sounds good and very positive about making healthier choices daily. It's a journey, that's for sure, and not something we can accomplish in a matter of days or weeks. Remember the WW gal who made it to her goal by losing less than a pound a week? I often think of her success...What plans did Tracy make for your visit to DC? I think she was looking to book a museum or monument tour in between your catching up with our Gabrielle?
Sue - I can feel your relief to have had ONE night at home to yourself to just re-group!! You have been crazy busy on the go this whole month! Last night I did not bring home work. And it felt so light and free! There is a TON still waiting for me but sometimes ya just gotta let it go...lol And YES, this crazy weather is HOT temps and our old buildings maintain all that stuffy heat. So the thermometer may read 60s today but inside our school it's still humid and 80s so I layer up the sweater over a sleeveless blouse (and always pack my comfy shoes/sneakers to change into mid-day)
Gabrielle - hoping you are having a good week. I think today is Track Tuesday? So glad you can finalize plans to meet up with Lise and our Carole - AND still have time for your friends and the RACE lol Sounds like a very busy weekend indeed full of fun! How is DS19 doing back up in Oregon? Is he feeling ready for first week of classes?
Gotta run - much later than I thought!!!

Christine: UGH Hate losing a post... I think I hold my breath every day!
Sue: We had a great weather day yesterday too! We are dipping (back) to the 70s this week... should be 73 and sunny for The Big E Sunday - that will be nice... HOT actually but not humid!
Gabrielle: Yes, sadly Mondays seem to come quicker and quicker these days! OH would Lise be up to meeting all of us on Saturday???
I don't want to overwhelm her - but would also love the chance to meet her!! We arrive Friday afternoon/evening. I thought you had "race stuff" to do Friday - so Saturday would work best? If not - we are pretty flexible on our end!
Sue: Yeah - we got out of the tub just in time... the rains came here last night too!! I know. your DM has been "herself" for longer than Kris was "in charge"... but like you said without the added stress of Kris, maybe a visit with DM will be more tolerable??
UGH I just can't "enjoy" a thieves lemon tea! LOL Oh what I meant was David & Katie should have just gone in and cleaned the apartment while Kris was out of town! LOL Ya' see, dealing with SIL Steph has put a very bad"dent" in my "give-a-damn"!
Oh yeah. my F/V is mostly veggies... my big salad each day surely helps with my F/V count! The hotels these next 2 Sundays are with points... but in addition my mileage check would cover the hotel cost - so yeah, it makes sense to go the night before - both weeks. If Ken weren't going with me - I'd probably ride with someone else... but this will be nice too!

Mornin' Christine... YAY to a great night's sleep! I was in bed and asleep by 8:30... but then DH came to bed at 9ish and woke me up - I was then awake until 10, then off and on all night! Gotta tell ya', I was pi$$ed!!
Oh dear... sorry you got the head cold! Glad others are starting to help out with child care... DL should be responsible for THAT mess!!
Oh MY! Sorry you are going solo for the completion of the project, but can't say I am surprised!
Good for you getting out of work ON TIME, to rest before going out to dinner and a movie... sorry the timing sucks... do you enjoy Downton Abbey too? I have never seen it... but have heard the movie is great!
OH no, we have nothing "planned" except for reserving a parking spot! LOL Being the marathon weekend we fear it will be crazy so we will reserve a spot... ahead of time. Our only "plan" is meeting Gabrielle (and maybe Sue) then having the day to WALK and TOUR on our own! Probably no museums... just get a look at the monuments as we can... hoping my foot feels much better by then!
Yup... I too must RUN now... need to get to work, and leave early for injections...
Hope you have your to do list ready for a good day today!!
♥hugs♥

Hello David, Sue and Kris, We thought you would like an update on Mom/Nanie. The transition from nursing care to independent living with extra health services has been exciting, to say the least, but she’s doing very well with it. The most remarkable thing is that by Saturday, she seemed like regular Mom/Nanie again. Much more interactive, communicative, alert and, of course, feisty. Good sign! She’s had 3 healthy, square meals every day since Wednesday, 9/18. The food here is good. It’s not like going to a restaurant, but it’s better than your average dining room of this ilk. We have eaten about eight meals in the dining room with her (we purchase extra meal tickets for it, and they’re quite reasonable), and we are happy to go back. She’s met quite a few people and enjoys the company at meal times. All Care wheels her down to each meal, and seats her with people she enjoys visiting with. In fact, today she walked about half the way (a good distance) in her walker before it was too much and she sat in the wheelchair. Her comments about the new apartment are: “It’s so beautiful. It’s so wonderful. It’s so cozy. It’s so homey.” She’s getting to the bathroom with the walker, not the wheelchair, except for in the middle of the night. She moves about the apartment very well with the walker during the day. Please reply with any questions you wish. Will send more info in the near future. Love, Annie & Jim

Morning all....woke up to the email I just shared....sounds like DM is doing great! It's so nice to be informed and update with regularity as to her status and improvements.
Got a couple minutes before I have to load my lunch box and get the day started so will start to catch up now...after work we meet with the notary at 5:15 to sign the last of the timeshare paperwork and then....it's done! All timeshares are gone and we can begin to start a new way of vacationing.
Today is "National Bologna Day" so I'm bringing lunch....rolls, chips, bologna, cheese, etc....all the fixin's for a good old fashion bologna sandwich. Remember I did "PB & J Day" a while back and it was a hit...I let everyone know yesterday and you'd think I gave them a million dollars....they were like little kids! A couple co-workers are bringing dessert and some veggies/fruit to add to the day....will be fun!
Thanks for getting us started today Carole....my "TO DO" list will be moving as much as possible, extra water/seltzer to offset the extra sodium in the lunch meat....feeling really in control this week for the first time in a long time. Love that your list is helping your even on the "bad days"!
OOPS....just glanced at the clock...it's later than I thought!
Back tonight after we meet with the notary and grab some dinner!

Good morning! I need a to-do list to get back into the routine of getting ready for work, like choosing what I'm going to wear the night before! Geesh feels like I've never done this before! Well my first day was fine, a lot of my work is tedious but I can understand why the regular staff wouldn't have time to do it every 2 weeks. Seems like they could run a better report specific for looking for the extra help employees who have worked at least 700 hours since their last break which is what I'm doing line-by-line from a 943 page report. I even thought about sorting the one column on descending (even though I'm no Excel wizard) but now I see that a lot of other info needed would be missing from just getting that one line. I'm answering phones for the whole building on Friday morning as they are having some meeting elsewhere (going in earlier and staying later). Anyway, I know what my mission is today, to finish scrutinizing the second half of the report. Nancy said I would be helping them for "a few weeks." Will try and catch up on reading posts tonight. Have a great Tuesday!

Carole...glad Eden is feeling better and they are having fun in FL!! I know Hannah never had allergies where but really struggled in WA...got to NJ, no problems...now in NE she has some issues...funny how the different allergens in different areas has such a variety of reactions with the same person! YES Carole...when your FitBit reminds you to get up and "make a loop"....get up! Heaven knows everyone else in your department can wander and socialize at will so for you to get up and make a 3-5 minute loop just to move is nothing to worry about! I had another 11k step day today....crazy busy but nothing super overwhelming!
Oh...my "National Bologna Day" was a HUGE it and man did that sandwich taste great! I couldn't tell you the last time I had a bologna sandwich! Felt like a kid again!
LOL...glad to see that Ken is like Jason....at least you have Tracy for some input! At "Casa Moul"...it's me, myself and I when it comes to that stuff and it gets old! You know Carole...I guess for so long I had ingrained in my head to eat many small meals/snacks every few hours to keep your blood sugars stable and keep from getting hungry...so that's what I did....now, I pack my breakfast which I always eat at work and my lunch, a couple snacks but if I don't eat some of it...it's OK...I've really been trying lately to listen to my body. and it's signals of true hunger.
Christine...glad you got a good night's sleep last night, even if it was in Lindsey's bed. Are you and Gary due for a new mattress??? Sorry the head cold found you....hopefully it doesn't hang around too long! Glad the Child Care debacle is finally winding down and more volunteers are available to take that task away from you! Yup....it's DL circus, let her deal with the lack of buses and the child care issues! You were a team player and did your part. Bummer your project team is falling apart...Lyme Disease is ugly if it's not caught early enough...thankfully when Sarah and I both had it we caught it quick and a month of antibiotics and no lasting symptoms but if not caught quick enough, it can have lastly issues. I know a few people that still suffer from the after effects of the Lyme Disease! Oh my....sounds like your other staff member is NOT pulling his weight and his work ethic is less than stellar!
Carole...."some" stretching is better than no stretching....progress, slow and steady! Looks like your Monday was a good day and your plan for today was "on point"....definitely a "no-brainer" after all your prepping on Sunday!
Christine...I won't tell anyone you plan to leave work at your regular time to rest! Secret is safe with us! LOL! Pat is a huge Downton Abbey fan too. She was supposed to go away with a friend from her grief support group, Maggie, to the beach this week but last week Maggie fell and broke her right wrist and had surgery...so Pat is going to Maggie's house for a "stay-cation" to help her out a bit since it was her right wrist...they plan to watch marathon seasons of Downton Abbey and then finish the week going to see the movie! Honestly Christine, never really minded the chaos and running her and there but the older I get, I just don't want to do it anymore....I love the nights where I can come home from work, put on my pj's or just comfy sweat pants and shirt and do nothing if I don't want to.....I'm starting to sound old, but I'm done with the "rat race" of life! I just want a simpler life.
With that said, I would not give up the things we do for the kids and the games for the boys....I think that once I retire and the chores can be done during my usual "work day" the running for the additional activities won't seem so bad.....now with still working FT and still doing all the extras, I just burn out and sometimes I just need to say STOP! Felt good to just do that last night!
LOL Christine....our building sounds like your old school building....for us, the fact that is was a small building, added onto several times and the heating/cooling units are so hap-hazard and chopped up as to where they control the weather ups and downs really cause issues inside....when there is a huge "swing" in temps it takes a day or two for the temperature control units to figure it out!
Definitely Carole...take advantage of Ken being along and enjoying a night away....hope your hotel has a pool and hot tub! Oh....actually Annie & Jim cleaned the apartment pretty well when they visited as they were organizing the move.....they didn't go through a lot of the "storage" spots and the spots that held the stuff that mom had already "promised" to someone....they just did the actual apartment!
LOL Carole...I love the spicy/lemony Thieves tea....I don't even use a tea bag.....few drops of oil, little honey and hot water....I've always loved those spicy teas and it reminds me of childhood smells and memories!
Hi Gabrielle....saw you run through....
Lisa...had to laugh at you choosing your clothes the night before....I usually just "fly by the seat of pants" in the morning! YUP....that report sounds tedious, can you sort by several columns to help get the info you need...I "live" in Excel at work and some documents I sort by 3, 4, 5 columns so that I have all the needed info to do my reports. I'm not a "guru" but I'm pretty efficient in Excel! Hope you got it finished up today!
Hope you are enjoying your family Shelly!
Hi Jenny...how's the back??
Want to check in with David and see how much crap is left to sort through....
